I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I love the 100 block quilt. I’m really enjoying making so many different blocks
I’ve made a few lap quirks and s queen size and now working
On a full size thanks fir a chance to win

  2. I make bed quilts, lap quilts and small items such as table mats, table runners, basgs, etc. I love being part of this community as there are not many quilt groups near me so it is quite isolatec. I really appreciate the support and encouragement of this group.

  3. As much as I would love to make bigger quilts, I tend to lean toward smaller projects. I don’t have a lot of room anymore, so it’s difficult to make bigger projects. But I adore quilting, and I truly love this site for lots of inspiration.

  4. I make mostly lap and twin size. I have lots of tops and need to finish them off. Your Blue giveaway is so pretty. Lucky quilter to win them.

  5. Loving all the little houses! Time for me to dig in my scrap bin…thank you for inspiration, always. Wish I could visit VA this week but we are in the middle of kitchen Reno! What a mess.

  6. I love all sizes, but so far I make mostly bed sizes, with baby quilts coming a close 2nd. I have some large lap sizes (tall family-want couch cuddlers) planned – but not started. I say red is my favorite color but always end up with blues somehow, so this giveaway is perfect!

  7. I make mostly small projects like table toppers and runners although I just finished two big quilts. I’m ready to go back to the smaller ones so I can quilt them myself and don’t have to waller the big ones!

  8. I’m starting to do bigger and bigger quilts – this year – a special quilt for each grandkid !

  9. I make all varieties of sims from potholders to bedside quilts. Giveaways are always fun.

  10. Mostly baby quilts; I have two bed quilts that I’ve bought and prepped the fabric for but I’m intimidated by the size of the project and haven’t started sewing. Baby quilts I can handle. 🙂

  11. I love to make bedsize quilts. I love the idea of someone snuggled up with a quilt that I’ve made and having sweet dreams.

  12. such a cute house Block!!! Thanks for the giveaway-I like to make mostly small or lap sized quilts-I can always find a charity or two who are looking for that size for donations! And I love your colours!!!!!!

  13. I like making small pieces as a beginner it gives me the chance to try out techniques. I have made a single bed size and I have got all the blocks for the solstice quilt still to be finished but learnt so much. Many thanks for all your hard work in doing the patterns for us by breaking it down in to separate blocks it is not so daunting for us newbies.

  14. Most of my projects have been bed quilts. But I have made a handful of lap quilts. I have been starting to make decorations like table strips and wall hangings.

  15. love give aways and love all types of quilting projects 0 big small and in between! of course the smaller ones are more apt to get finished faster lol.

  16. I make mostly lap quilts and themed quilts for grandsons! However, I do need to make a baby quilt for our first granddaughter! Thanks for the chance to win the giveaway, Pat!

  17. I tell my self to make more small things, but it seams like I’m Ã¥ lap quilt type of person 🙂

  18. I have been making mostly bed size quilts the past year, I started out four years ago just making lap quilts.

  19. I’m expecting my first grandchild in September, so I’ve been into baby quilts lately. Thanks for the giveaway, Pat!

  20. I do baby and lap quilts and wall hangings in between Queen quilts. I have got to stop looking at your site-keep getting ideas!! Thank you.

  21. i make any and every type of quilt, huge, big, medium and small, and even very small, all depends on what strikes my fancy at that time.

  22. Love your houses. I just finished a BOM I won from my guild…I wish you had seen the cute teees you put between the houses, it would have been perfect. I embroidered some which I wasn’t so crazy about, but it’s just for me.

  23. I mostly make big quilts……..ones that fit onto beds properly………..over 80inchs…….I don’t like useless size quilts………I would like to make some minis thought for my wall……inbetween forget it……….

  24. Mostly lap and single quilts. I have done a queen I sent out to be quilted. Would love to have a longarm so I could quilt the large ones myself.

  25. I love all the pattern’s that you have given to us. Sometimes I am not sure if I am any good at quilting but I just keep doing it. I love to due lap quilts and try anything new. I enjoy every Wednesday for the pattern’s.
Thank you for letting me joining your group.
    Debbie

  26. I do mostly smaller projects like baby quilts, like the faster turn around and even these are not very fast any more 🙂

  27. I tend to do more of the baby/lap quilt size projects, BUT, the quilting group at the senior center I am Director at does King size ones for the annual raffle. We have lost several of the ladies and out of the few left, 2 don’t quilt anymore, they come for the coffee, snacks and my entertainment of stories. One helps with “ironing”, not “pressing”, so it’s a good thing I love her, because I am always re doing them after she leaves. It’s down to mostly me doing the sewing of the blocks (who wouldn’t LOVE to get to sew while at work????? In addition to all of my director duties).
A book would be a great addition for me to refer to and also recruit others that may have an interest!!!!!
