I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I make mostly table runners, bed quilts and lap quilts, usually extra long lap quilts for my tall family. It’s been great therapy.

  2. I tend to do more lap and baby quilts…I tend to get burned out on the larger quilts and get impatient when they don’t come together as quick as I had hoped.

  3. I have made more bed quilts but now that I have a longarm business, I don’t have as much time for the big quilts. I’m starting to build a pile of my own quilts that need quilted at this point.

  4. I mostly make bed quilts. I like to use my quilting skills on “smaller” projects like bags and throws.

  5. I love these colors, I need to make two baby quilts right now lol, this would make an awesome one!

  6. I used to make small projects. Jackets, clothing with appliqué, placemats. Now that I am retired and have all the time and room in my house, I am making (and finishing) larger quilts.

  7. I’ve done a lot of bed quilts but now working on smaller lap quilts for the beach house. Daughter wants kitchen potholders, casserole carriers and such so working on that now.

  8. I make so many different items such as aprons, totes, etc. but when it comes to quilts I prefer to make lap quilts and wall hangings.

  9. I love to make bed quilts, table runners, purses, I knit and also do a lot of art journaling.

  11. I’d say I truly make a mix of sizes for projects – depends on the need. Right now, I’m finishing up several baby quilts. I have a few throw size/bed size that need to be sandwiched and quilted. Grandma’s kitchen is in progress and we won’t mention all the others that are in the queue – baby, throw, bed size – all of them!

  12. I mostly make small quilts and other small projects – mostly because I don’t love the actual quilting part. Thanks for the chance to win.

  13. I am returning to small quilts as my hands keep giving out before I end a project. My sister says just finish one project, it will make you feel great. So I am hoping a small project will give me the same sense of accomplishment!

  14. So far, I’ve only made baby and lap quilts. I do have some peacock fabrics that I will make for my personal bed, but I need to do more practice. I love free stuff! Especially fabric! Pat Sloan, thanks for allowing your FB feed to be so open and friendly. Learning great things.
