I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I am new to quilting so am starting out small. I have a couple of baby quilts planned but am also planning on doing a set of table runners for each season as a way of practicing this new skill. Have just received your new book and can’t wait to get piecing. I love the inspiration I get from every member of this group.

  2. I love quilting!! Just finished a twin size top for my Great Niece who is turning 3 years old. Did redwork embroidery on 12 Sunbonnet Girls, and put them in a 2 sided log cabin. I’m not an expert by a long shot, but I’ll keep trying as long as I’m able to do sew! Loving my retired status, and my quilting, and thank you Pat for all you do to keep me active and stitching along!

  3. I make mostly lap quilts!! Some get hung as wall quilts, kids want to display them and not use them. I do love give aways!!!

  4. Hi Pat! Thanks for sharing your blocks! They are awesome! I like to mixed it up. After a large project, or just to take a short break I will do a small project. Table runner, a bag, something for the grandchildren! I just love to watch it all come together! Thanks again!

  6. I mostly make lap size or “throws”, and small projects like fabric baskets and zipper pouches. And the occasional wall hanging. However, I am currently working on both your Grandma’s Kitchen (in Christmas fabrics) and your Children’s Library blocks. Anxious to see how they turn out!

  7. I haven’t made anything quilted yet. But I’m going to start with small (placemats and napkins) as I inherited all my mom’s quilting supplies. She was trying to teach me but was too sick to do much. I’m stalking this group and watching YouTube videos! Giveaways are such REFRESHING things! Thank you for your generosity to whoever wins!! 😃

  9. Such beautiful colors! My mother in law was a quilter and hand made quilts for each of her 7 children and 18 grands… I have picked up her legacy and recently started quilting myself. I am almost done with my quilt for my first grand baby,, and hope to be making many more in the future.

  10. I make small projects but want to make bed size quilts. I have been saving the patterns for my grandmother’s quilt. This touches my heart. Soon…I am learning a lot from your blog 😊

  11. I find I end up making a variety of quilt sizes. I probably stick to lap/full the most because I can get them completed faster than a larger sized project.

  12. I make mostly small projects, but I have been learning from your sew along challenges. I almost have the Solstice challenge completed, just have to put all the blocks together. Thank you for all you for us.

  15. I make baby quilts, lap quilts, basically any size quilt along with quilted bags and diaper bags. I wasn’t going to post a comment, because I never win a giveaway, but I thought what do I have to lose? Other than the giveaway! Lol

  16. I always enjoy your comments, videos and patterns. Thank you for who you are and all you do. I will continue to look forward to your new projects, as well as using the older ones. You are a true artist! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself and your lovely expertise! <3

  18. still new to quilting but I took a paper piecing class and I am trying to free motion a jean throw on my old machine

  19. I like Making a wide variety of size. It’s fun for me. Make and give away to family and friends. I seem to favor oversized laps. Who doesn’t love to snuggle up under a homemade quilt while reading a book or watching T.V. Table runners are my second contender. One for every season and Holidays.

  20. Seems like I make more of baby quilts than anything. Want to to conquer the biggies. Who doesn’t like giveaways? Love the colors! 💕

  21. Pat, thank you for this chance to have more fabric available for quilting. It is hard to decide what i quilt most. Bed quilts right now I guess. Doing them for grown grandchildren. Love the small pieces as well. Thank you again.
