  1. My favorite summer activity I must say is traveling. Last year I was able to travel to England to the Festival of Quilts! We saw amazing quilts, but my favorite was in the Victoria and Albert museum in London. It was thousands of years old and preserved. They believe many were commissioned to work on it. Just like our quilting groups today!

  2. Wow! Seeing how I live on the east coast of Florida by the ocean, my favorite summer activity is going to the beach
And watching the ocean. It’s so peaceful and calming.

  3. When I purchase antique quilts, I look for something I don’t do myself. Since I don’t do hand work, Pat’s quilt that is hand appliqued would fit right in with my collection. I , also, am not spending February in FL this year so I’m missing the beach & the warm weather. Please pick me to win!

  4. I enjoy sewing outside under a huge shade tree, watching the birds, and summertime gatherings with good friends and good food. Although, I could do without the bugs!

  5. I always loved the water. So anything to do with the beach is wonderful. I loved it so much, I bought a home at a lake. Can’t beat that. Love you Pat.

  6. This Beach Quilt is so cute. It will be a treasure for anyone who has it in their home. I live in Western Oregon and he have several things we enjoy in the summer, and one is visiting & camping at along the Oregon Coast. Congratulations again to 10 year as a FB group.

  9. My favorite summer activity is swimming! We have a tin pond (what my hubby calls the above ground pool) in the back yard. It’s small but, there’s nothing so fine as riding bikes or doing yard work on a hot day and ending up together in the pool! Love your quilt soooo much!

  10. I’m at the beach in Thailand – after visiting my friends from when I was a Peace Corps volunteer in another part of the country (long ago!). I love the ocean and I grew up in Florida, but now live far from a coast. Also enjoyed seeing the owl quilt. Two weeks ago, I bought 3 live owls at a rural Thai market and released them in a forest temple.

  11. I, also, am a serial maker! My joy is from the making and the giving. It’s not even important to me what the receiver does with the quilt once it’s gifted. Dog bed, sure! Car quilt, okay! Lost in a box, no problem!
My husband and I winter in Florida so when I’m south, I tend to make more beach themed quilts. This quilt would be awesome at our Florida home.
