I grew up in south Texas by Padre Island. We would spend the day at the beach frequently. My favorite activity was collecting sea shells, and also fishing with our dad. Swimming and exploring the sand dunes. What great memories.

As an adult I love listening to the waves as I sip wine while sitting on a balcony that has a view of the ocean and reminiscing about all of the fun we had as a family at the beach when I was as a kid. What a delight it would be to have this Pat Sloan quilt of my very own!
It really is all about the making and the giving. As a teenager, my best friend and I drove to the beach every day. Thanks for the memories and for the chance to own one of your special quilts.

In all these years I never knew there was such a thing as a “maker.” Now I know…it’s me, too! I’m in good company! I also love your beach quilt. Each appliquĂ© brought back so many memories of family vacations, from the kite flying, crabbing, sailing and even the bikini! I met my husband 50 years ago bc of my bikini! So much fun and love comes thru in your happy beach quilt! Our summer activities include kayaking, biking, sailing, family time and relaxing in the yard watching the birds and critters!

Hi Pat, My favorite summer pleasure is gardening. I grow herbs to dry for all my spices and I also raise flowers, my favorites are carnations, roses, lavender and foxglove.
I love to sit on my deck in the mountains and watch the birds at my feeder.
My favorite summer activity is just being outside and feeling he warmth of the sun on my face.
Love being outdoors and tending to my vegetable garden and mowing grass.
Favorite summer activity – got to be me in the gardens and orchard, tending plants and trees, and also improving my grilling skills. When we do go to the beach, I’m a boat watcher. Our town is right on Lake Michigan, so plenty of boats and people to watch.

way. I love the beach try to go when every we can since the beach is only 1 hour away. We have even gone in January when the weather hit so 78 degree days. Of course we could not swim but it was a great day at the beach.

My favorite summer activity is having our 2 grandchildren up to our cottage in New Hampshire for a week or two. They were 8 this past summer and we had a great time in the woods and at the pond.
My favorite summer activity is watching the firework show my husband puts on for our family. It is spectacular and filled with so much color and texture. We all love it. I also like to sit around the fire pit. This is a beautiful quilt that have been made with wonderful craftmanship.
