  1. My favorite summer activity is going camping with my family. I have an older sewing machine that I take with us, and try to fit in piecing whenever I can. Life seems so much easier in the camper versus being at home.

  3. What a beautiful quilt. I haven’t reach the appliquĂ© part of quilting yet but hopefully I’ll reach that point one day soon. I have a large list of quilts I want make right now. I just started quilting in 2019 after retiring and I’m very much enjoying it. I love your work and I’m in awe of how much you do or rather how much quilting you accomplish.   8. My favorite Summer activity is spending time on the French River in Ontario, Canada. I get up early and take my kayak out on the river as the sun comes up. I enjoy the calm and quiet before the day and the river get busy. The river is smooth as glass and the steam rising creates the illusion that I’m paddling through a cloud.

  17. My favorite summer activity is watching my grandchildren playing in the water at the beach and building sand castles in the sand. Having a nice little break from all the daily routines and just relaxing, enjoying the sunshine with the grandchildren is just the best.

  22. I LOVE being outside every single day I can. There is nothing better I love working in my garden and my flowers. There will never be too many flowers I love them all. If it was warm I think I could live outdoors. I live in Ohio so no chance of that!

  25. My favorite summer activity in the summer is sitting on a comfortable chair and watching the ocean waves crashing against the boulders and hearing the sounds of the waves, feeling the ocean breeze against my face and the coastal smells.

  27. I understand where you are coming from Pat about liking to make the quilts and it is the making that you enjoy. I’m like that also. My friends say well why are you making that? I just love the CHALLENGE of doing the quilts it’s not that I need them all. We have to have a hobby and my hobby is buying fabric and creating but I also like to give to folks that appreciate the work and beauty. If I won your beautiful quilt it would hang in my living room. The beach is where we have som many memories.

  29. My favorite thing to do in the summer is to go snorkeling! We are always in lookout mode for finding new sea life we have not seen before and often try to capture a quality photo for identifying things. I love sea urchins and am always on the lookout for a variety I have not seen before. I would love to have this beachy summer quilt. Happy Anniversary

  30. I grew up around a lot of lakes in Michigan, so my favorite summer activity was swimming and having picnics at the beach. I loved the water (still do) and my father told me, that as a toddler, I disappeared while enjoying the water. He found me lying on my back in the shallow water, looking up at him and smiling.
