** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

  1. My favorite Christmas decoration as a child was my Mom’s bubble tree that was given to her by her mother. When it was plugged in, us kids would all sit around and wait for each one to start bubbling..

  2. My favorite Christmas decorations are the ones that my daughter now claims and has taken them to her own home to use for Christmas!! She helped me sort through all my boxes of decorations and I was able to pass a lot on to thrift store because I wasn’t trying to “save” all of them for her.

  3. My favorite ornament is the angel we put on top of the tree. It’s a little to small for the tree but gets put on each year. It was a kit with embroidery and beads. It’s probably about 30 years old at this time.

  4. My favorite Christmas event is Christmas morning worship that I play organ for. My favorite decoration is my Christmas tree.

  6. Some of my favorite Christmas decorations are Hallmark ornaments especially the Nostalgic Houses and Shops. My neighbor started me collecting them several years ago when she gave me some as a gift. Then I found out that you could buy them after Christmas on sale. But probably the most special decorations of all are the ones that my children bought me over the years. So much thought and sacrifices went into those gifts. Merry Christmas, Pat, to you and your family! And thanks for all that you share with us during the year to help us with our sewing projects!

  8. My favorite Christmas decoration is my Santa collection. They are all shapes and sizes. They are made of an assortment of materials; wood, resin, glass, porcelain and of course the best, fabric! One of them went missing for several years and finally came home in 2020! Naughty Santa!
