My favorite Christmas decoration is the Nativity. When our youngest son was little he set up all of the figurines in a circle around the manger. I asked him why he didn’t set them up facing out into the room so that people could see the faces of the shepherds and wise men. He said it was because Christmas was about the baby Jesus and that was the way they should be facing. Out of the mouths of babes.
My favorite Christmas decoration is my German nutcracker collection. They’re all over my living room with twinkle lights around them. Merry Christmas!
My favorite Christmas decorations are candles in the window. I love the peaceful feeling these simple Christmas lights give.
My favs are anything home made with my granddaughter for our tree
My favorite Christmas decoration would have to be all my ornaments. As I put them on the tree I remember buying it or getting it as a gift. When we travel we always get an ornament or two that way we remember the trip better. I like to get one that is hand made or a local favorite. There are so many memories when we decorate the tree each year! I always get our grandkids an ornament each year on the feast of St. Nicholas, December 6th, that way they can put it on the tree for this year before Christmas.
My favorite holiday event is the day my whole family gathers for dinner and gift exchanges whether it’s Christmas eve or Christmas day.
My favorite event is a Live Nativity, it’s so peaceful.
Merry Christmas and thanks for all nice patterns.
It used to be watching the weather to pick the best day to drive 8 hours to my mom’s house in Oregon. Now I live in Oregon…still hoping for my first white Christmas (but not until my shopping is done).
I am very fond of the Christmas mouse, my daughter got a book in first grade “The Christmas Mouse”, it is wonderful. I look for mouse ornaments, and holiday stuffed mice. I of course am fond of snowmen, or snow people. Thanks for all you video’s, Have a Wonderful Holiday.
My favorite Christmas decorations are the quilts and wall hangings I have made and display. A ceramic lighted Christmas tree my Mother-in-Law made many years ago. Also, the ceramic nativity set of people and animals my Sister made for me years ago and her Husband made a shed to complete the display.
But, my most favorite time is when my family is all together and we sit down to Christmas dinner.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
My favourite Christmas decoration is the wooden light box I painted last year from Michael’s. It’s a old fashioned truck in the forest with a Christmas tree in the back. Hubby loves it!
My favorite Christmas decoration is a Santa tree that I put up each year. The lights are little Santas and all the ornaments are Santas that I’ve collected over the years.
My favorite Christmas decorations are the wooden ones that my husband and I made together before he passed away. We would spend many hours in our wood shop working together on our hobby.
Our Christmas Tree is my favorite decoration. It is bursting full of ornaments. There are ones my kids made(they are now grown), ones the grandkids made made and are still making, ones from family vacations and so many more. My favorite ornaments are the very first ones I bought after I started my first job the cutest little bearded elves. Merry Christmas Pat!
My favourite event is putting up the Christmas tree as a family. We always do it on my sister’s birthday ( Dec 19th) while baking cookies.
My favorite Christmas decoration is a Nativity set made in Ireland near my mother’s home.
She always talked about how special Christmas Eve was with her family and this set brings her here with me every year.
Favorite holiday event is having our family get-together on Christmas Eve where we share our latest goings-on while watching the kids have fun playing games. What’s Christmas without having the fireplace lit up—adds ‘warmth’ to our family event!
My favorite Christmas event is when my kids and grands come over Christmas morning for our holiday breakfast. My hubs and I go all out with breakfast meats, eggs, pancakes, hash brown etc etc. After we are filled to the brim, we go to the living room for under the tree goodies. The grands are always so happy, everyone laughing and our lap dogs hide out under the bed. Glorious time.
Bringing out the ornaments that have been saved over the past 40 years of marriage. Sweet memories!
My favorite event is the Winter Lights display at the Butchart Gardens in Victoria BC. So gorgeous! The theme is the 12 Days of Christmas.
My favorite Holiday event is a Holiday performance that I get my children & grandchildren to attend with me. This year we are breaking it up into several different ones. The grandkids are going to a matinee at a dinner theater for a Santa Musical. And I think will have a Movie & Dinner night too. Plus for Christmas eve we will be together for food, games and lots of laughter. The local botanical gardens do a luminary night with local singers and great snacks. Always fun.
My favorite Christmas decorations are my collection of Anillees. Been collecting fir ovrr 40 tears.
My favorite Christmas event is watching Christmas movies with the family while putting up the Christmas tree and going to my husband’s family while they make Christmas treats.
My favorite holiday event is the holiday hayride my husband and I host for our family and friends. With out tractor and trailer decked out in Christmas lights, we drive around the neighborhood to see all of the decorated houses!
My favorite Holiday event is called Clarinda Sings. The small town of Clarinda Iowa has a community choir that does a Christmas program each year. When they sing “It’s a Wonderful Life” It brings meaning to the season. Merry Christmas
My favorite Christmas decoration is my Christmas tree. My husband and I put up the tree and add the lights. Then when the kids and grandkids come for my birthday celebration on Dec. 6th the granddaughters put all the decorations on li. It’s really a memory tree full of projects my children all made in grade school and Sunday school. Of course there are other decorations too and everyone has their favorite(s) and memories to go with each.
I have a favorite Holiday tradition. I make up a Christmas Eve box for each of my two children and their families. In it I put matching family pj’s to be worn on Christmas Eve, a DVD suitable for the whole family, sometimes a tin of popcorn. I include all sorts of Christmas goodies, candies, cookies, hot cocoa mix and other fun Christmas items I might find. Each family is to open their box on Christmas Eve and enjoy before going to bed and waiting on Santa.
My favorite Christmas decorations are the ornaments my kids made for the tree. Even though the kids are now grown, pulling those ornaments out of the box each year brings back many memories. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
My favorite holiday event is when our family puts up and decorates the Christmas tree. Our daughters and son-in-law comes over and spends the day. We have good food, snacks, and watch holiday movies. It is a special day for me!
My favorite Christmas decoration is a wreath. You can be so creative.
I would say my favorite decoration is Our First Christmas ornament from 26 years ago. It’s a photo ornament of a car with a picture of us from our honeymoon as the driver and passenger of the car. SO cute! Thank you for the fabulous givaway! I would love to win!
My favorite decoration are fresh pine boughs used around the house because I love the smell of pine. That is what I remember from childhood, the smell of pine in the house during Christmas. Wonderful memories!
I love Christmas so much. All the pretty decorations and the happy feelings everywhere. People are so much nicer during the month of December. A favorite Christmas memory I have is taking my children to see Santa Claus at the mall. I still put out every year a picture of my daughter and son on Santa’s lap when they were small. They are now all grown up. It seems like yesterday that they were small.
My favorite Christmas decoration is my Christmas tree. I collect vintage glass ornaments and love finding the perfect spot on the tree to show them off. I also include some new ornaments made by friends. My favorite event may be attending Winterfair (an art show) with my husband. This has been a tradition (except for last year due to COVID) of ours for 25 years. Merry Christmas to all!
Every year we try to take the grandkids and kids to gatlinburg to see the lights ! We get caramel apples and walk the Main Street. Such a great time
My favorite Christmas decoration is the angel on the top of our tree. As we decorate it is fun to work your way up the tree, then my husband puts the angel on and the tree is complete. It was a gift to me from my own Mother when we first were married. She’s been gone since 1994, but her memory is alive atop our tree each year.
As far back as I can remember, we’ve always put up our Xmas tree on black Friday. When I had my sons,I kept that tradition. And now, since my grandbabies came along, I keep them overnight on Thanksgiving and we put up the tree while mommy and daddy are shopping. This holiday event is extremely special to me since both sets of my own grandparents passed before I was born. I pray that one day, my grandbabies will cherish these moments as much as I.
My favorite Christmas decorations are my Hallmark “Snow Buddies” series of ornaments.
My favorite thing of Christmas is the smell of all of the backing I do to give to my friends and family for Christmas. And then seeing my grand kids open up their gifts. I make a lot of them. Lot of fun and memories for every one,
My favorite Christmas decorations are nativity sets/scenes in any form.
My favorite Christmas decoration is the stockings hanging along the stair railing. There is one for each of my children and Grandchildren. Each is very different and hold letters about our family Christas through the years.
My favorite decoration is the Panda Bear Christmas ornament my husband bought me for our first Christmas. That was over 40 years ago!
My favourite Christmas holiday decorations are some tree ornaments made by my two sons when they were children (now 20 and 28). The decorations are made with Hama beads and are brightly colourful. Some are made with glow in the dark beads, which are great fun in the evening with the tree lights, especially the ones shaped like snowflakes. Pat, I would be happy to pay for the postage to Australia, if you choose my comment.
My favorite Christmas decoration hung on our family tree as a kid and now hangs on mine. It is 60 years old. It is a small green Manger scene made of plastic with gold glitter. It reminds me of family and of the reason for the season.
My favorite decoration is my tree with all the decorations that were given to me over the years
My favorite Christmas event that always gets me in the spirit is going to listen to my best friend when she sings with her Chorale. She’s got the most beautiful, uplifting voice. Her chorale is fantastic. I love when they sing “Silver Bells.”
My mother made me a simple felt advent calendar in the shape of a tree and we put a felt ornament on everyday in December till Christmas. I loved finishing it with the star on top going on last. My kids played with it too and had their own order. The grandkids aren’t around much, but they have had opportunity to decorate the same tree. Yep, that one has been around a while and is still a sweet decoration.
My favorite holiday tradition is lighting the menorah and eating potato latkes.
Baking with my Mother….. My mother made the most wonderful Christmas goodies and baking with her was the very best. I keep trying to make her recipes but mine just don’t seem to measure up to my memories. Sharing the recipes with my granddaughters now gives me great joy.
It’s not a big “event” as such, but I love driving around town and looking at all the Christmas decorations! Every house is different, and it all adds up to putting me in the Christmas spirit.
