  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric

  1. My favorite Christmas Event was “Hanging of the Greens”. When I was a pastor the ladies in the congregation made white ornaments to represent christian symbols. The Sunday after thanksgiving the entire church service was hanging of the greens. Everyone participated. The children would carry in all the poinsettias and tell what they represented, the advent wreath was brought in etc. By the end of the service everything was done and so beautiful.

  2. My favorite Christmas decorations are two cathedral window squares that I made to commemorate my first husband and my husband’s first wife who both died of cancer in 1998. I fussy cut fabric to show out of the cathedral window, two dIfferent angel fabrics. On the back I wrote their names, birthdates and death dates. I like including them in our Christmas each year.

  3. I love cookie bake weekend with my sister. We make approximately 10 different kinds and pack them up for all the family members

  4. My favorite Christmas decoration is a large ceramic nativity set and lighted Christmas tree my mother made for me 40+ years ago. I am reminded of my mother who loved that she shared Jesus’s birthday. Sadly she passed away 20 years ago and I miss her everyday. My favorite event is Christmas Day watching my children and grandchildren open their presents at my house before we all sit down, say grace and enjoy a large meal I prepare with all their favorites. This gives me joy!!!

  5. My favorite Christmas decoration is the tree. Instead of souviners from places we visit I always try to find an ornament or something that will work as an ornament plus if there are any special events during the year I find one to commemorate that. Decorating it every year brings back so many special memories and we enjoy reliving them all season.

  6. My favourite thing at Christmas is decorating our home, baking and listening to all the beautiful Christmas music.
Such a magical time of year however we have to be aware as there are many people who are having a hard time so please
If you know of any lend a kind hand. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄

  7. It wouldn’t be Christmas without our tree! I remember my mom started not putting up a tree (because there were so many grandkids – not enough room) and it just didn’t seem like Christmas. I also have a ceramic lighted tree that my Godmother gave me when we got married back in the 70’s – comes out every year!

  8. Rain drops on roses, whiskers on kittens…oh,oh,oh no. Christmas allows me to honor timeless traditions and memories of family, friends, and the joy of giving. Paying it forward, extending a kindness, and baking…lots and lots of cookies. Merry Christmas to all, it is time to go sew.

  9. My favorite holiday event is watching some of the classic Christmas movies. I love, love, love White Christmas and A Christmas Story.

  10. My favorite holiday event is singing along with the church choir during the Hallelujah Chorus. People who usually sit in the pews are invited to stand among the choir to sing. I remember learning it in high school choir. Of course, this event has not taken place for a couple of years. Now I can sing along with YouTube!

  11. I love to decorate my entry way. I normally put up houses and a ceramic Christmas tree my mother-in-law made. I have passed them down to my daughter this year but I cannot part with the tree. It is a necessity staple in my home. I fixed it with garland, lights and figures. All gifts from my mother in law. My kids are grown but I used to read to them on Christmas Eve, “The Bight Before Christmas”. I miss those times.

  12. My favorite holiday decorations are my collection of snowman cookies jars. From Thanksgiving weekend thru Valentines my kitchen is decorated with snowmen. In my bay window with twinkle lights, Their smiling faces make me happy when snow is piled high.

  13. My favorite moment is putting up my display of family photo Christmas cards through all the years it starts with my husband and myself, then progresses through the kid years, and end with my husband and myself. Wonderful to remember all those years and activities.

  14. Pat, one of my favorite Christmas decorations is a wooden Christmas tree and a family of wooden snowpeople. The tree is only 10″ high and perfect for a tabletop. I’ve had this set for about 40 years! I bought it at a craft fair when my boys were little. It has sentimental value.

  15. My favorite decoration from my childhood that is still unbroken is a candle holder with Santa. I remember my Mom setting it on the windowsill and that is where I keep it also, I broke the twin last year🙁. It is so vintage and reminds me of my Mom each year. Merry Christmas!

  16. Merry CHRISTmas Pat! My favorite event this time of year is the CHRISTmas fellowship at our Church, good food, good friends and a little game of dirty Santa!

  17. Christmas begins when the tree goes up. I love getting up early in the morning with the lights on, really is peaceful for my prayer time!

  18. My favorite holiday event is just spending time with family. Life gets crazy and people move away or pass on. I just savor those Precious memories/moments of the past.
Happy Holidays,To Pat and all of my chat friends.

  19. I would say my favorite event would be the Christmas Eve church service…keeping mindful of The Reason for the Season has always been important to me…. ☺️

  20. My favourite decoration is my willow tree nativity set. It was purchased in parts over 10 years, many pieces gifts from different family members and each brings back memories of family, some who have since departed

  21. My favorite Holiday event was going to my Godparents house on Christmas Eve! Due to age and health they aren’t able to do it any more! But, I have the best memories of many years of celebrating Christmas with bonus family and friends! Merry Christmas to all!

  22. Very hard to pick a favorite but I think I have to go with making Pepperkakor cookies! These are a very thin ginger cookie from Sweden. My grandmother made them, then my mom and now me…now to hope one of my daughters continues the tradition! They are some work with rolling the dough so thin and individually cutting each cookie but they just taste like Christmas! Of course getting to put out all my Christmas “sews” – quilts, pillows, runners ornaments always bring back so many memories. Merry Christmas

  23. My favorite holiday decoration is the ceramic nativity scene which I inherited from my husband’s aunt. I believe it was made in the 1960’s as I always remember it on their TV at Christmas time.

  24. My families most favorite thing to do is go look at Christmas lights. Afterwards we stop and get hot chocolate and doughnuts. It’s a lot of fun. Happy Holidays to everyone out there.

  25. My favorite holiday event is our Christmas Eve with family and friends. We have tons of appetizers and finger foods, visit and sometimes play games. Then after company leaves, we all grab a quilt and watch our favorite Christmas movies.

  26. My favorite Holiday decoration is my white ceramic tree with blue birds on it. It was a gift from my Mother that she had made, so that makes it more special to me. I always smile when I see it lit up and remember the Christmases spent with Mom.

  27. My favorite Christmas event is baking Christmas cookies with my mother, sister and our children.
We have been doing this since 1996. It is a fun weekend because while we cook, we also sing Christmas songs.
I looking forward to it this weekend
    Thanks for the giveaway !!!
    Take care of you xox

  28. My favorite decoration of all time is a cheap plastic nativity set. My children and I had moved in with my parents. Times were hard, money was short. We were all in a local five and dime doing a bit of Christmas shopping with a very limited budget. I spotted the nativity scene which I asked my father to buy. I was going back to school and not working. He looked at me with a twinkle in his blue eyes and bought it for me. I still bring it out most Christmases and tears run down my face each time as it reminds me of my Dad’s love and caring. It still looks cheap and now is worn but it is the most precious ornament I have.

  29. My favorite holiday decorations are the tree ornaments my son made over the years he was in grade school (he is now 38). Putting up my Christmas tree is a very sentimental trip down memory lane.

  30. Hi Pat, My favorite Christmas decoration is my twelve foot Christmas tree! It’s a little bit tricky to decorate from a ladder, but it’s so beautiful when it’s finished. My favorite event is the Christmas Eve candlelight communion service at our church.

  31. My favorite holiday decoration is a Christmas village my mom gave me. It goes on the fireplace mantle every year. Good memories from my mom

  32. My favourite Christmas decorations are those made by my children when they were small sewn out of felt. They still take pride of place on the tree even though the boys are now 49 and 47 and they are getting a little tatty!

  33. Oh my…..so hard to choose my favorite decoration! I do love my collection of nutcrackers but I love my Christmas tree……I just love sitting and looking at the lights twinkle and all the ornaments…..remembering each ornament and which I got for each of my children just brings back the sweetest of memories 🎄❤️

  34. My favorite is cookie baking with my grandkids! It’s a huge mess but I hope I’m making good memories as well as good cookies!

  35. My favorite Christmas decoration is my table centerpiece! I display an arrangement of my grandchildren in Christmas frames wearing their Christmas pajamas! I love looking at their precious pics thru the years! Two are now in college! Priceless!

  36. I made a ceramic Christmas village of Gnomes many years ago and I always loved putting them up on the shelves in my living room. I have not done that in many years now as my small home has become too crowded with other stuff from 40 years of living in the same house. I plan to remedy that this year, and get rid of a bunch of the useless items and junk left here by the people (friends and family) who have moved in here and out over the years and left their junk behind.

  37. My favorite Christmas event is baking and decorating cut out cookies with the kids. It’s so fun at all ages. Fun to watch how things change as the kids get older. I start them young. By two they are at the table decorating and by teenagers you get the silly kids decorating boobs on things. Lol. From innocent to rotten – it’s all such great memories. Now as adults listening to them tell the stories of their cookie decorating. I get to hear all about how it felt to them. Super neat!

  38. Every year we have a tree decorating party. It’s wonderful to see all our friends and have them help us decorate the tree.

  39. My favorite Christmas decoration was made by my grandfather. It is a light up church with santa and his reindeer flying in over the church. Every year my dad and I would clean off the old snow, tidy up santa and his reindeer, straighten the trees up and add more spray snow. It was my job to plug it in every night!

  40. My favorite holiday event is my granddaughters Christmas program, as well as putting up the Christmas tree with her. Thank yiu

  41. My favorite decoration is my Christmas tree. I try to add an ornament every year,so decorating the tree brings many smiles from happy memories. I love to sit in the morning with my coffee and the tree lights on before I go to work—it makes me happy!

  42. My favorite holiday decoration is a paper mâché angel ?cherub I painted gold and it sits atop my tree surrounded by gold and silver berries and foliage. The arrangement just glows when the tree is lit.

  43. It feels like Christmas to me once we start playing our favorite Christmas songs and put up the indoor decorations! The lights on the tree always make things feel magical

  44. My favorite Holiday decoration has been my Ceramic Nativity scene. About 30 years ago my children’s daycare was Mary and Bob. When my one daughter was 3 we were putting up the Nativity scene and I asked her to tell the story. She did pretty good to start, then it went ” Mary and Bob and the three wise guys.” My ceramic set has seen better days, but still is my favorite.

  45. My favorite Christmas event is putting up the Christmas tree 🎄. We put on Christmas music, have hot chocolate and a tin of Christmas popcorn mix. Watching my children enjoy themselves and having fun is just the best!
