  1. Thank you Marcy!! I have a feeling people have enough energy for a Blog or a Video. At least for me that is the way it is as the creator. BUT.. I ADORE reading a post with details from people who still write them that way.

  2. Hi Pat, Yes I read the emails. I do not do any social media. I watch your videos on You Tube. This all depends on the pace of my life, sometimes saving thing to read/watch when I have time. Love Block Wednesday!! Thanks.

  3. Hi Pat! I do watch your videos almost always right away in the morning. I am a member of both of your FB groups, but with how FB works, I don’t see much in my feed and I’m a pretty passive user of the site itself.
Personally, I believe in making blogs a thing again. 🙂 It is always nice to have a landing place when you are trying to learn more about something, rather than rolling through a social media site or having to go through videos (unless it’s a how-to) I’ve been watching your videos since the summer solstice QAL and it’s like visiting with a friend.
I like newsletters. However, I’ve learned how thoroughly I read them depends on how busy life is at the moment.

  4. Hello Pat- I am signed up to the email service, but tried hitting reply as I read in your note but that did not work.
I read thru all of your posts, watch your daily videos and follow on FB and YouTube. Thank you for the motivation
    You provide.

  5. Hello Pat !
Mist definitely I received your email and I read it. I love your videos. They make me feel like we’re having a cuppa together while we chat. I missed your last couple of emails while I tried to figure out Gollow it. I got a lot if non-Pat emails from other quilters, but I think I have that straightened out.
I didn’t click “reply” in your email because I’m leery of ever clicking anything without a lot of investigation. Some of those scammers are pretty clever and sophisticated.
    Thanks for all you do.

  6. I watch all your videos on youtube while I am sewing. I love them & feel like we are sewing together. I have done many of the sewalongs. I’m ready for the National Parks. I do learn so much from you. Thank you.
I am not on Facebook so the videos are my link to you.

  7. Hello, I am making the National Parks quilt for my granddaughters Christmas gift. They will try to visit every National Park at some point, while their kids are with them( they are now
12 & 10. Made one some years ago, & hope they like this one as well.

  8. I am a member of your Facebook community. I watch the videos as time allows. Lately not as much as we are building a new home and it is nearing completion so packing has begun. As to email content. Same applies. I read more when time allows and less when busy. I love all that you do and have made several of your quilts.
    Thank you Tami

  9. I am more of a email person as that is my “morning time” routine and I generally read them completely. I am a dedicated Facebook user and use You Tube for instructions mostly but looking forward to your National Parks sew along. I admire your enthusiasm and your ability to inspire others in this wonderful art of quilting! Thanks.

  10. I see the videos and do both facebook groups on my phone, but come to my laptop for the emails. I do read the emails and download what I need from them. I tend to follow links more on the computer than the phone. I like that you have taken the facebook group private. I know it is more work for you, but I hate those guys that are dying to meet us! And facebook won’t do anything about them. I find that I am starting to actually comment more now that you’ve changed. A newsy paragraph would be nice – but you know your workload better than anyone else. I have gone back into your files on the emails for prior sew alongs and patterns that you mention and use the links before doing any online quilt related or Amazon shopping. Thanks for all the work you do! I’ve learned a lot!

  11. *I do watch your video sometimes. I followed daily during the pandemic with the calendar but I have less time now. I watch maybe 3 a month?
*The calendar was fun during pandemic when it encouraged me to count my scissors, organize my thread, weed the unopened kits, etc.
*I am in your Facebook group. I do get confused when you talk about your specific pages because, to me, there isn’t something distinguishing. Group page, business page, project page – when mentioning if you could give the exact title.
*I scroll through the email each day but if I’m not involved with the current block projects, I may not watch unless the email mentions some other part of the video content.
    *Newsy paragraph, sure!
I finished my Splendid Sampler while following you daily. That was fun. I finished my Harrisonburg but there was less content daily. and I didn’t start mine right away. I’ve followed your facial cancer and broken wrists. I’ve gotten tips and shortcuts from you and watch your how-to videos. Keep them coming. I’m a longtime follower..

  12. I read your emails and follow you on Facebook. I don’t watch the videos only because I forget to. I’ve done a couple of the sew-alongs as well as a few of your other patterns.
    Love the old phone!
    Bonnie

  13. Hi! Read the email. Don’t do facebook much. Stop by 1x per week or two weeks or whenever. Refuse to install intrusive fb app. I do watch youtube on occasion. Happened to hear you mention email so I signed uo but it’s a good question since I do not read them all. Email could just be social media posts or links to your videos or a once a week summary of doing or product links or whatever you have time for tbh. Or you could save time and only do email for announcements. I try to spend less tme on social media but I do curate email too and if I get too many then I unsubscribe. So that’s how I roll
    All the best, Theresa

  14. Just so you know you cannot reply to your follow-it email. You have to scroll down and click read more to get to this. Here is what I said when I tried:
Hello, Pat. I have been following you for awhile. I read your emails, sometimes watch your videos, and I am not part of your Facebook page or anyone else’s – not even my kids. While I have not done one of your projects in awhile I always liked your clear instructions and fun topics. I’ve sort of moved into scrap quilting to try and sew up some of the fabric I have. Great phone.
    Tamara

  15. Pat, I do read your emails. I find them easier to read on this new format. (I would enjoy a more newsy paragraph at the top…I would definitely read it). I watch your YouTube videos when I am working in my sewing room or doing some ironing. I don’t get a chance to watch them all the time but I do love them. I belong to your FB groups, but for some reason they never show up in my feed so I have to go search for them occasionally. I really enjoy everything you do! Thanks so much for continuing your work!

  16. I do all the things. I join in about every other block Wednesday and try to do half your sew a longs. Right now I am starting my Christmas presents so will do what I can. My daughter wanted a puff quilt so that is my current main project. I love both your Facebook groups I have a private account some quilting groups is all I do on Facebook and instagram.
I watch you videos after dinner every night

  17. Hello
I enjoy getting your emails and I read all of it. I almost always watch your daily video but I still like the emails as they recap things from your videos. I don’t participate in the chat during the video as I can’t type and read stuff while I’m listening to you. I follow both your QA and Fireside sites on FB and I do enjoy getting the news and links in the email.
Thank you for your videos and I have learned so much from watching you. I also appreciate your sense of humor.
    Cindy

  18. I like having your e-mails and love hearing from you! I watch all your videos and even catch up when I get behind! I am not on Facebook and so I appreciate all of your quilt parades on your videos. They are so great to inspire me and help with color decisions. You truly are the best quilt video person I watch because you actually explain your decisions and talk about why you decide on the colors or scale of fabrics. You also think a lot like me and like to be organized which I so appreciate! I also wanted to congratulate you on finishing things! You are doing better! It is hard to say no to all of the cute things that are out there. I want to make Lori Holt’s snowman so much! He is so big! I just finished Mercantile and it was 95″ square for our bed. Not sure where Mr. Snowman would go but oh! I want to make him. I am definitely doing the cross stitch. Still on the fence about the quilt. I love your idea about making him shorter and wondering about making the actual snowman shorter but don’t have the pattern yet. So, keep sharing things in whatever is best for you. I love your videos, patterns, website and advice. I have learned so much from you! I tell others about your videos too. 🙂 Thanks so much! K-

  19. I watch all of your videos, and I am a member of the Facebook communities. I usually skim the email to see if there is info I missed and need to know. An extra newsy intro paragraph would be fun to read.
    Thanks!

  20. I read your email, are in your Facebook groups and watch your videos (usually first thing on the morning). Thank you in for all you do!

  21. I do read the emails and watch the videos. I’m bad about checking anything on Facebook. You need to do what works for you and your schedule. You do more than any other individual or company out there. They are usually a video once a week and a weekly newsletter. We will adjust to follow you.

  22. I love the emails! Thank you continuing to create them! I do not do much with Facebook but I do watch your YouTube channel.

  23. I go to the email if there’s something I want information on after watching your videos. I started following you when you did the podcasts. I’m on instagram regularly not so much facebook. Thanks for all you do 🥰

  24. Hi Pat,
I almost always watch your YouTube videos live if home. I follow you on facebook also. I started just after I retired in 2015. I usually read everything you write (don’t want to miss anything) . I’ve done some of your SOL but have taken a break this year and am working on lots of UFO’s and more quilts for charity.

  25. I always watch your YouTube videos. They are part of my morning routine after I’ve watched the news—I should tell you I live on the west coast, Washington state.
I was just recently accepted to your Facebook group.  I think I was able to post a grey quilt.
I read your emails to the end and go back and click on some of the links to projects.
An additional newsy paragraph would be nice but not essential to me reading your emails.
I found you right after you began posting after your wrist surgeries.

  26. I always watch your videos on YouTube, skim through the emails using them primarily for the links since I watch on a smart TV. Don’t belong to FB. Enjoy your videos so much and have learned lots! TY for sharing so generously!

  27. I do read your email, watch your videos and follow you on Facebook in both of your groups. I look forward to the days you post. I love that you have started to do a few in the evening. Those are so much fun.

  28. I don’t have time to watch YouTube daily, but I will binge watch while I am at my machine. A newsy email I can read daily is fine. I like to know what is going on and prefer reading so I can skip the things that don’t apply. I have done a few of your sew alongs but have so many patterns and fabrics in my to be used pile that I probably won’t participate in anymore until I catch up! Thanks for all you do to make this a quilting community. I do follow on Facebook and appreciate that you have made the group private to reduce spam and scammers. Many blessings!

  29. I watch all your videos. I do not always read email unless I want a reminder about something in a video. I check with your website as needed. Follow you on FB at both sites.

  30. Dear Pat,
Yes yes and yes. I always read the articles, even if it isn’t the day they come out. I can’t wait for the videos and set my alarm clock so I am able to watch them live. I just have to thank you for all that you do for us, and while I may not participate in every sew a long, I find great joy in following along and seeing what everyone else is doing. Thanks again for all your hard work.
    Anne

  31. Hi Pat
Yes I read emails. Though hit reply doesn’t work
    And I look at pictures
And I watch videos maybe 2 a week.
    Yes part of Facebook group
By news do you mean about your business and things coming yup—-sure a little would be good. If you mean world—-NO lol so no
    Take care

  32. Do you also watch my video? Sometimes.
Are you part of my facebook community? yes
Do read anything in the email or just look at the photos and click to the projects? I skim through the email for things of interest.
Would you like a little more ‘newsy’ paragraph here at the top every so often, or would you not bother reading it? I would read it. Actually, I’m more likely to read the email than watch the video.

  33. Dear Pat,
Yes, I read your emails and your messages at the website.
I watch all of your YouTube sessions and I look forward to seeing them. It was so much fun to be a part of the “premiers” you did on Friday night. (This is because 4:15 is a bit early for me to see your other “premiers”.)
Yes, I follow on Facebook and enjoy what I see there. I am in both of your FB pages.
It would be lots of fun to see a “more newsy” paragraph at the top.
Thank you for all you do. It really brightens up my day.

  34. I read your email in the while waiting for my grandson’s school bus. I generally watch your videos at night after the craziness of the day has ended. When the music begins my husband closes the door so I am not disturbed.I have all my supplies for the jolly sew along. I’m just finishing last years pumpkins sew along

  35. I watch most all if your videos on you tube. My neighbor is good about doing some of your QAL. Ii can only remember doing the secret lives of color. I do cut scraps in 2 1/2 “. Saving strips and salvages now also

  36. Hi Pat,
I do read your emails. I also watch the videos. I have learned much about choosing fabric and auditioning them from you. Thanks

  37. I read the emails and save them to help me find things I want to look for because I am always behind on the sew alongs.

  38. I also like and read the e-mails. Don’t always get to the the day of but read and watch the videos. I also like the pictures at the end, to see what others are making. Don’t usually go to the Accuquilt page because I have one and they send me the info. from their site. Have bought for years so really don’t need any more dies. LOL
I do see that there is a Facebook page but not sure that I am on it with you. Older minds don’t always get the new fangled ways of doing this internet stuff, so please keep on with the e-mails. I realize that this is extra for you but I do appreciate your work. Thank you for all that you do.
    Shirley

  39. I watch you videos with my morning coffee and miss it when there isn’t one (but I totally understand). I usually read the emails especially it I’m wanting more details on a sew along or product. I’m in the facebook group, although I never post anything but I do like to see what others are working on. Thank you for all you do for us quilters!

  40. I receive your e-mail & generally watch the video on premier. Occasionally I drop by on Facebook. I’m (very) pleased with the e-mail (read all of it) & video and appreciate all you give to the quilters.

  41. Yes I do read your emails and watch your YouTube channel. I sometimes find it easier to follow links from email than on YouTube.I don’t use Facebook although I am signed up to yours.
Like the previous comment I have learned a lot from your channel and from your books.
Thank you for continuing with teaching, encouraging and making me laugh.

  42. I do read your whole email. I am not on Facebook, I just watch all your videos on YouTube. If I am too busy to watch a video I always make time on a different morning. I have learned alot from you and would read anything you write. Thanks for all you do for the quilting community.
