You may have heard a rumor my next sew along was Christmas memories.. and you were right!

This is my 2nd year of Wednesday sew alongs, I’m having so much fun with it!
For my Christmas Memories I’m calling it ‘Merry & Bright’ and I’ll be using Christmas Delivery fabric
My Project Details:
- Start date July 25, 2018.
- End date Nov 28, 2018.
- The Blocks come out each Wednesday around 7am EST
- ENTER YOUR EMAIL to get the weekly notice
- They are SIMPLE and FUN
- I weave memories in my Wednesday blocks. I have a title for the block and talk about that memory. The block does not LOOK like what I’m talking about. (ok.. sometimes it does, wink, but not usually).
- I design, write, create, and sew along with you & work with a fabric bundle
- The GOAL is to sew easy blocks with fun fabric that you love! Good goal right?

I’m using a FQ Bundle of Christmas Delivery by Riley Blake + a few 1/2 pieces a background & border. My supply list gives you what my working bundle is.

- FQ Bundle – AT THE MOMENT we are waiting on another shipment, you bought the first one, wink! So if you love what I’m using check back in a few days
- Border Fabric I am using in Red, of course!
- The light background I’m using is Moda Grunge in vanilla. It has some rustic texture, you could select Sugar Cookie for less texture
- ALL of Christmas Delivery line so you can pick up a few of your favorite 1/2 yd pieces to work with. You may also want to use a different fabric for the border.
Other Fun Lines – the FQ bundle I’m using has 23 pieces, so check how many are in each
- Once Upon a Memory
- Wintertide by Janet Clare’s with the darling penguins
- Swell in fun pink & light green.
- MORE FUN Christmas Fabrics!

My friend Joanna of Fig Tree designed this yummy quilt, put it in a book and gave us bonus companion projects. The photography is incredible and I LOVE the blocks! It will be a sew along with the Fat Quarter shop.
Once a month we’ll sew blocks that are assigned. Not sure when the start date is as Joanna’s fabric is not in yet. But you can see what it looks like and there are Jolly bars!
I will be creating a page for Merry & Bright of all the blocks. And letting you know when the Christmas Figs starts!
Are you going to sew Merry & Bright with me?

I use this GREAT Rolling cart to help me keep projects straight! Other colors HERE

Donna it’s not the end of July yet
Thanks for joining me!
super!
The first round sold out, more is on it’s way
Yes, I’m in for the Merry and Bright sewalong. Thanks, Pat! Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the fat quarter bundle of Christmas Delivery is available at the link you provided. 🙁
I can’t wait to join along. I am new at this but, really excited about joining with you.
I just ordered my fabric! I can’t wait until the end of July to start this, it will be my first sew along. I’m not a fan of Christmas colors so I chose a totally different color palette. I’m hoping it will still work well.
Did I miss the first pattern?
Hi Pat. I love what you do for us. Thanks so much. I have done 4 sew-a-longs now and have one completely done, one needs binding, one needs a border and binding, and one needs sashing, etc.. But they will get done! I love them. You make it so easy to follow along. Charlotte
Just ordered my fabric. Can’t wait for it to arrive.
OK I have a question. This will be my first Sew Along for the Merry and Bright. When reading down through the page, it talks about getting the Christmas Figs book. Will I need to get this book for the Merry and Bright Sew Along Mystery?
sound so pretty Cindy!
Pat,
I really enjoy looking at each new block. I am looking forward to this new Merry and Bright project. I love Christmas! Wish I could meet you.
As much as I would love to join in with this, I will just have to download the patterns. I am currently working on four other quilts, along with sewing more clothes for my daughter.
I was looking at the pattern the other day & thinking
about how pretty it would look in blues, cream and silver (or gold).
Until I get at least one of the quilt tops done, I will just enjoy seeing e everyone ‘s work.
YES, because I NEED to do another sew along! I am already doing ss2 in Christmas fabric, so I need more for this! These are fun!
I’m going to give it a shot. Got a lot going on this year but Christmas is my favorite holiday.
Pat,
Thank you so much for all the wonderful patterns you give us. I am really excited to do the Christmas quilt-along. I do have a question for you or anyone else who might know. I normally do not prewash my fabrics, so is the red fabric going to bleed? What can I do to prevent that? Thanks!
As I use blues and purples for my decorating theme, am using winter fabrics in those colors with silvery grey for my background. Already have at least half dozen red and green quilts so need to switch it up a bit. Hope these colors will work for this sew along.
getting to use some of my Christmas stash for this quilt. I am soooooo excited to do this.
super!!
