Time to add a border to our Summer Time quilt and enjoy it!

The Layout!! Super easy and scrap busting to boot!
I have a video tip for you about sewing borders onto a quilt.
If you have points, it’s better to sew with the top facing you rather than the border facing you.
Even when it’s a thin border, I want to be able to see my top and line up so I don’t chop off my points!
I hope this was a helpful video!

I loved using up a lot of the fabric in the border. I kept the border the light & medium fabrics. I will bind in the Navy dot.

My NEXT Wednesday Sew Along is a Christmas Theme, called ‘Merry and Bright’!
NEXT week on Wednesday I’ll have a Quilt Show post so you can enter your quilt top photo and I’ll have a random number giveaway. You will have 4 week(starting today) to get your top done!
Now I must cut backing & ship my quilt to the spa for Cindy and Dennis at Pink Paw Studio to work their magic!

I want to be sure everyone has a chance to own these great irons! If you have been waiting on the pink one, it’s back in stock!
I did a video and article about it HERE
The color differences are
- Yellow & Pink are IDENTICAL except color
- Blue is less expensive, so the 20% off is fantastic. It has these differences
- 8’6″ cord instead of 12′
- Stainless Steal soleplate instead of Chomium soleplate
- 8 min auto shut off instead of 30 min with the pink & yellow

HI Pat, I am toying with the idea of adding blocks to make my summer time quilt cover a queen size bed. Any tips if I decide to make this bigger? I have always wanted to do a sew a long and absolutely loved sewing with you this spring.
The christmas project, I am looking around for the fat quarters and wanted to ask if 1/4 yard would work?
