So cute, all the aprons. Working on mine today 🙂
Had so much fun making this. I used 5berries online pattern. Think I’ll make a few more now. Thanks for inspiring me.
I can remember my grandmother wearing an apron all the time. It smelled of flour and a little of her perfume. Wish I could have saved one. It was checker fabric black and white. I always helped her make the homemade noodles and pasta. I come from an Italian family. Today I’m a Pastry Chef during the week, quilter on the weekends. I’m on Pinterest.
Hi Denise –
I wear an apron when sewing – otherwise I look like a sewing room floor – covered in thread, bits of fabric and batting! I discovered this a year ago and I love it! And I regret it every time I don’t wear one!!!
Not your grandma’s apron but a good use of an old pair of jeans. Grandma would approve. I used a pair of my favorite old jeans that I know I’ll never get back into again and a scrap of some fun apron fabric! Created this not so ordinary lacy sexy apron!
I’m so excited! Can’t wait to get started on my apron! Thanks Pat!
I love the Emmeline, #11, but it’s too pretty to wear! My bow wouldn’t be white very long. 🙂
I also love #14. I think that’s design is very figure flattering.
What do the green checks mean in the upper corner of a pic? I tried clicking on mine to see if it would show a larger image and it put the check there.
No, but that is a great idea! I have pockets and pouches of sewing supplies all over the studio. Why not wear them on me where they’re handy! I know what you mean about the thread all over the clothes, and all over the house. Sometimes a bundle of dropped thread will look just like a spider! eek!
I sewed apron #26 from a free pattern found at sew4home. I put the link up there, and here https://sew4home.com/projects/kitchen-linens/drawstring-apron-wraparound-ties
I used some cute fabric I got from Fat Quarter Shop. I took a close up picture of the TV fabric. I thought that was fun since I wear aprons like a bib sitting in front of the TV eating. I serged some Jolly Bar fabric along with a broadcloth lining to make the center portion.
Thanks for the sew along. I needed a new apron!
I make aprons from upcycled fabrics. I just sold two I made from a Roman shade I got at Goodwill. My sister is a retired Army sergeant and I have an idea for a man’s apron made from her camo uniform.
I found a pattern from the 40’s and have been excited to do it so here goes!!
Hi Pat: I submitted another photo-which insisted on posting sideways. I do wonder if we can only enter 1 time?
