  1. I would love to have a new sewing machine. My Pfaff is over 30 years old but still in good working order so I won’t be buying anything new unless it dies. When I bought it the salesman said it would last a lifetime so that’s what I’m counting on!

  2. I want a new sewing machine. My baby of 40 years just gave out. So I’ve been using used machines. Have learned a lot! And figuring out what I really want in a new machine in the process.

  3. I’d absolutely love to add a cutting/ironing station in one. Not sure if this is a thing or not. I’m limited on space so hopefully it is a thing. LOL

  4. Hi Pat, I just added a cute tall narrow wooden cabinet for small scraps. The great thing is that each drawer is a different color, so that determined what color scrap went in. Anyhow, it’s like a new toolbox. Lol

  5. I really need to get a new iron. I have a real vintage one with the black fabric covered cord. The wiring shows and it scorches everything.

  6. I would love to be able to get a sit down long arm machine. Sadly, I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon. I’ll have to settle for more fabric, lol.

  7. My living room is also my sewing room. It works out swell. I have the TV right there and I am available to answer the door or the phone and just enjoy the process. It’s all good.

  8. I am so lucky to have a brother in law who can build anything. All I have to do is tell him what I want and he gets it done! He will be making a cutting table top for me soon. I ordered storage cubes and drawers from Ikea to use as the base for the table. Excited to get that put together. It will be big enough to put the giant cutting board on it. I am also going to take one of my old wooden TV trays and cover it to use as a small ironing board to keep next to my machine so I don’t have to get up when I am working on sewing small squares together.

  9. I would like better lighting in my sewing room. I do have lots of windows but when it gets dark outside as i get older it’s harder to see as well as i would like to pick out fabric for my projects. And more wool, can’t seem to have enough wool!

  10. I own a rotary cutter, a 12″ square template and a 6″ x 24″ template. I’m so new to this I’m not sure what else I need. Can you ever have enough fabric?

  11. My fondest wish is to one day have a few pieces of “real” sewing/crafting furniture, like the stuff made by Koala. I especially want a good cabinet for my machine. The cheap one I’ve been using is starting to become unstable.

  12. I would love to have a real sewing table so my machine could be flush. It’d be so much easier on my bad back & neck vertebrae. Hopefully one day I can afford one but I doubt it, lol, I usually have to stack books around my machine to keep the quilt from dragging off the table

  13. I would love to add another room for sewing but that’s not possible so next I would really like some more buttons. I love buttons! I have recently added a lot of my mothers buttons to my collection. I enjoy putting buttons on as many quilt projects as possible!

  14. I would love to add a few of Pat’s patterns/books to my sewing room. Always looking for new ideas and projects. Thanks for listening. I enjoy your blog.

  15. I need to add space and am considering switching my large master bedroom with my small sewing room. The natural lighting in the master is the main drawback.

  16. I could really use a “Time Turner” like the one Hermoine uses in Harry Potter…
On a more serious note, I am considering looking for more quilting hardware. All I have is a rotary blade, cutting mat and one clear ruler thing… I should learn what things are called!

  17. I really need to add a new ironing table. I have been using a mini pop up ironing board and it is just not getting the job done.

  18. I would like a permanent design wall so I can put all the blocks up and design the quilt I have in my mind. I think I could get my ufo’s put together finally!

  19. I want that little blue cart you have. I’ve looked it up on Amazon and now I’m waiting for one of my children to ask me what I want for Christmas!
