Organized Studio Space tour, DAY 3 of 3 giveaway!

I did a Facebook LIVE on Saturday morning to share my space… come take a look then enter Giveaway #3 at the end.

It was so much fun to flip on Facebook Live for an impromptu walk through my studio

I did not do the captions at Facebook because I have to manually edit them. It’s translator is not very good, and this one was too long for me to go through and rewrite it.
Instead I put it up at Youtube and you can select their closed caption which is better at translating

  3. What project I am working on? I always have several and a pile of Phds. Right now, I am working on a portrait of my grandson that we are working on together. He has the most amazing eye for color for a 12 year old!

  4. I am working on 2 of the Merry & Bright Quilts. I also have 6 quilt tops that I need to sandwich and quilt. And finally I have a stack of fabric for the next 3 quilts I am wanting to make. Spent the week-end cleaning my sewing room up since I was inspired by you. Thanks for Sharing!

  5. Right now I am doing 4 quilts out of my military uniforms and after that I will be working on merry and bright. I have been downloading and printing all blocks so I can use after this long project.

  6. Wow, I’d love to have your studio! I love all the red and white and those containers are fabulous. I must find some.
The project I am working on currently is a Farm Girl Vintage quilt. The blocks in it are from a swap I participated in. I have been quilting it on my BabyLock Tiara III, each block individually. I am novice at using this machine, and my FMQ skills are not great, so I am learning a lot, trying a lot of different designs, and I can’t say it’s going wonderfully. Hoping that when I’m finished and it’s washed it will look much better. lol!

  7. I am currently working on 3 Christmas tree wall hangings. One for myself and the other two for some friends. Fingers crossed that they will be done in time to hang this year.

  8. Sashing a log cabin quilt for a wedding present, a Christmas snowball quilt, Happyquilting melissa’s Star QAL, and I’m cutting strips for a Halloween/Thanksgiving quilt. And I finally labeled 6 quilts so I’m basking in getting those completely out of my hair! Thanks.

  9. I am still machine quilting your Solstice Challenge Sew Along quilt I made!! The quilt is so big that I am doing it in sections using your ‘Teach me how to Machine Quilt’ book and all your great online instructions.

  10. Last night I started an appliqué Christmas wallhanging. I have had the pattern and the sets of fabrics in a baggie for a couple of years. Is till love all of it so thought now is the time to get going.

  11. Currently I’m sewing up a few table runners and place mats for Christmas gifts. I love giving family members something that I’ve made for special gifts. I think it shows how much I love them to take my time to make something homemade for them.

  12. I am working on three Merry & Bright quilt tops, making 18 Darnnit Dolls for my DIL to give her co-workers for Christmas, table topper & place mats for Christmas gifts, & curtains for my DIL’s living room.

  13. I am new to quilting. I have been working on some place mats. Also some mug rugs. The other day, while looking for embroidery thread I have, I come across a morning star top that I started back in in 1974 in a beginning quilt class while pregnant with my first son! All handstitched, needs some more border be, then put together with backing and quilted. I thought I had gotten rid of it over the years! I need to complete this!

  20. Wow that is a tall order. Merry and Bright, Lets Go Camping, Christmas Fig, Sew in Love, Applique quilt Queens Garden block of the month, Scrappy Stars, Mini Basket Quilt in Yellow for my sister. Starting a mystery quilt today at Lifes a Quilt! I rotate working on these almost daily so I always have something fresh to work on. Also working on my UFO list. I have done pretty well this year catching up but my stack for the Longarm Quilter is getting bigger. I love giving quilts and smaller wall hangings or table toppers for gifts or fund raisers for local organizations. I would love to have a great thread selection. Only Coats and Clark available in my local rural area. Keep up the great work, I love your bright and cheery sewing room and all the sew alongs!

  21. I am currently working on a baby quilt for our youngest grandson, a lap quilt for another grandson, the Merry and Bright squares and another mystery quilt. All as my mood strikes me!

  22. I’ll limit to one project so as not to clutter up your newly cleaned space!!! Following advice from the designer and keeping straight line background stitching un-straight!!! Long, Vertical lines 1/4 inch (or so) apart, making fabric appear to be ‘slug’. Each stitching trip up and back involves a silent prayer for loved ones. Thanks Pat!

  23. I should be finishing a project from a class I took in Houston last year! But I am actually working on a few “use up these scraps” projects.

  24. Love your studio. So organized. I am working on your Merry and Bright, and also working on a panel quilt for Thanksgiving that I did some thread painting on, now just have to quilt it. Also cutting out fabric for friends wall quilt, hopefully will get it finished by Christmas.
I see everyone doing the jelly roll rugs, which I have never purchased a jelly roll. Would love to try one.
Love the Merry and Bright. I can get my blocks done by the time you put out the next block. Can’t believe I’m keeping up LOL

  26. I’m working on a mini quilt, Christmas tree skirt and stockings. I need to work on my fmq skills so I can finish my Pat Sloan weekly quilt along from last year😳

  27. Hi Pat! Your spaces are inspiring, and such cheerful colors. Working on a few trick-or-treat bags and a new kit I received “Lilium” in batiks….yummy. I must look into that junk drawer tower storage unit! love love love. Thank you for sharing with us! So many great ideas.

  28. I’m working on a Christmas quilt for my friend Lynn! It’s a king size made around a beautiful panel of the nativity!

  29. I’m currently hand quilting a quilt for friends, doing Eleanor Burn’s Block Party and looking to do a Halloween table runner…..always something!!!

  30. I am currently working on the Sew Splendid Sampler sew along and i am having so much fun. I started the sew splendid sampler one but it is fun to sew with others, so i waiting to finish this one, then i will start back with the first one.

  34. Thanks for showing me the way you organized your quilt studio. I am having a hard time designing a baby quilt that he can grow with. I am hoping that a tractor panel that is done in a log cabin setting and a backing of a john deer fabric will fit the customers ideas. It is hard to design a quilt that is a group gift

  35. Am currently cutting out a QOV. We will be sewing together the first a Saturday of the month. Always enjoy our group and the effort we have to provide so many QOV.
