Organized Studio Space tour, DAY 3 of 3 giveaway!

I did a Facebook LIVE on Saturday morning to share my space… come take a look then enter Giveaway #3 at the end.

It was so much fun to flip on Facebook Live for an impromptu walk through my studio

I did not do the captions at Facebook because I have to manually edit them. It’s translator is not very good, and this one was too long for me to go through and rewrite it.
Instead I put it up at Youtube and you can select their closed caption which is better at translating

  1. Just yesterday I finished my Merry and Bright setting blocks. Can’t wait for the new block tomorrow! Also been sewing gifts – lap quilts for wedding present and 2 Christmas presents. Oh, and a Halloween table runner! I seem to really have trouble sticking with just one project to completion. Guess I love the creative designing, choosing fabrics part more than the actual sitting and sewing part, lol!

  2. I have been trying to complete my UFO’s and had a roll on doing real well. Then as usual I got side tracked with desire to do your Splendid Sampler quilt and I am currently working on the Merry and Bright quilt. Just finished setting the first 7 blocks on Sunday.

  3. I am working on bags for 6 gals for Christmas gifts. Then need to make a few smaller items to put inside. I haven’t decided just what yet.

  4. I am currently working on a BOM from Edyta Sitar from her Patches Of Blue book(on her blog @ Laundry Basket Quilts). I also am working on an older BOW from Moda Sampler Shuffle and just finished a neutral strip challenge from my guild where we exchanged neutral 2 1/2 inch strips.

  5. I must confess, I havIe more than one project pinned up that I am working on! But last night I worked a Save the Bees project that is just to adorable to pass up! I love Bees, and one of my favorite books is The Secret Lift of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd…. A cute movie made of it as well! Who knows where the sewing adventure will take me this evening. Possible an Accuquilt GO! pattern that I am working on for my son’s Christmas quilt.

  6. Which one? I am trying to keep up with Pat Sloan’s winter quilt. Also making last 2 stocking for children, 5 down, 2 to go. FQS mystery block of the month, a Stonehenge Blues quilt I have on design wall, need to sew together and I have several quilts ready for binding…

  7. I am currently working on some Christmas presents and doing th see along with you. Love how it’s coming along so far. Got all 18 setting blocks done. Now I have to get a design wall. Lol

  8. I am currently finishing up a quilt I made for my husbands friend. after that I am going to finish the the quilt I started ( I ended up putting it away for later) for my mom. I made the solstice Challenge quilt and she fell in love with it. So ‘i’m going to put my nose to the grind stone and get it finished quilted and hopefully get it to her for Christmas.

  9. I’m currently working on a quilt for my Mom to put over her recliner that she sits in every day. I’m also making a little lap quilt for her to use.

  10. I am new to quilting. I picked a sampler made two, plus while I was cutting them out I made extra squares of several of them. I mean enough extra to make 3 lap quilts. I did this on purpose sew that by the time I complete the 3 lap quilts I should have the confidence to sandwich and quilt the 2 full size quilts. Before this endeavor I had never made a quilt. I have completed 2 of the laps, and CURRENTLY I have 5 inches of binding to put on the 3rd. Come tomorrow, I am going to start on one of the fulls. After watching your 3 videos I guess I am doing this the way you took on re-organizing your studio/family room. I can not image pulling everything out of a room, putting it in the hallway. That was a big way of doing it. I am doing quilting in a big way to take on 5 quilts….Your style is No moan with Pat Sloan.

  11. My current project is a quilt for our youngest grandson. It’s a tumbling block quilt. Any ideas how to quilt it for a 13 year old boy?

  12. My current project is catching up on the camping bom quilt and finishing it. I also have 3 quilts that I need to sandwich, quilt and bind.

  13. I have two projects that I am working on. The first one is a baby quilt that is appliqued. The second item is a appliqued snowman table runner from Shabby Fabric.

  14. I have never made a quilt just for me. I am making myself a lap quilt. I get cold and cover myself with whatever I can find in the winter. I put together fabric that reminds me of spring and I am making a log cabin lap quilt. Ready to put the blocks together and go to the fabric shop (yea!) for my backing and finish.

  15. I am working on the slice of life quilt using the Chonga Hwang layer cake , metallic blues. Black for the 2 1/2” strips. Hope to start on the violet craft elephant soon.

  16. Currently working on Merry & Bright and trying to use some of my stash. I am also going to be using some of the storage tips you shared. Thanks again Pat.

  17. Love your craft area! I have two sewing projects right now – a top in knit fabric & a light-weight jacket! Thank you, Susan

  18. I have several projects in progress, as do most quilters, but the one I most urgently need to finish is a quilt for my daughter’s birthday. I am currently trying to decide what to do for borders and I also want to do a little bit of applique over some of the patchwork.

  19. My oldest daughter and her husband live way up north in Yellowknife, Northwest Territory and they have several fur babies so she asked me to make her a denim/twill quilt for them to share while vegging on the couch. She wanted denim because it doesn’t catch and hold fur like other fabrics.

  20. I just finished Aurifil Block 9 & am waiting for the next camping block. Also making a chenille quilt from butterfly panels I bought at our quilt show for our domestic shelter & a peacock fabric quick pieced project for Hospice. Also Block 7 of Kaffe Mystery. I better get back to sewing!

  21. I’m working on boutique items for our annual quilt show, hand quilting an embroidered quilt, machine quilting a pioneer quilt, embroidering a vintage tin quilt, doing a block of the month…should I continue? 😊

  22. Like everyone I have more than one project going at a time. On my sewing table is a charity project made by re-using batik fabrics that are used to package soap! Customers return them then I make them in to quilts and we auction them off for charity or donate them to local causes. I also have a king size D4P that I am hand quilting for myself!

  23. I am currently working on some UFOs and thinking of Christmas presents.
One UFO is my 1600 that I started last year and bought the borders and binding. I just have to finish the top.
Another is a block of the month from several years ago from a LQS. I am going to the blue ridge mountains for a week with friends so I hope to get a lot done that week.

  24. I am working on redesigning our “new to us” camper with new curtains, throw pillow covers, putter shower curtain, etc to make it our own.

  25. Pillow cases and Jelly roll rugs for Christmas has put a noticeable dent in fabric stash and batting scraps..inventory busting is alive and doing well in my sewing room!

  26. I’m working on two. Finishing last 3 of 7 placemats for my dil. And then I’m working on cabin on the lake kit by marti michell from years past. I cut it in 09 and it got put Way and forgotten, Recently found it and that’s my project.

  27. I have so many but I’m currently working on a fox 🦊 Swap. I have a Facebook paper piecing group that swaps blocks monthly.

  28. I am currently working on the following projects:
    1. Sew along Merry & Bright by you (making 2 of these)
    2. Moda Blockhead 2 sew along
    3. Mystery quilt by Cotton Cuts
    4. Finishing Build a Quilt by Angela, The Midnight Quilter
    5. Meet The Makers Quilt sew along by Riley Blake

  29. I have a list, posted by my sewing area of CURRENT 8 projects. Two guild projects: a stash buster and a mystery quilt, a Christmas gift, denim quilt for my son; a Farm Girl Vintage quilt, 2 baby quilts for babies being dedicated in my church, adding machine tape strips I sew on on the 10th and 20th of each month, a ‘sandwich paper’ strip project I sew on the 15th and 30th or each month, and most importantly : MERRY and BRIGHT! Using the list makes me aware and motivated.
