The Random picker decided my Logcabin quilt should live with Joann S who said

"My favorite quilt is the first quilt I ever made! My daughter wanted to learn to quilt and she convinced me to take a couple of classes at our fabric store – I was only mildly enthusiastic about quilting – even though I had been a sewer for years. I decided to check out additional classes for us at my local quilt shop and there on the wall was this wonderful quilt with birds on branches. When I asked about it – they told me they were having a retreat the following weekend to make this quilt! I signed up -( my daughter couldn’t attend for family reasons). I made that quilt, which I adore ( it hangs in my sewing room!). Since making that quilt, I am completely hooked on quilting! I had heard people talk about quilting as an addiction, but didn’t understand it until then. This was the quilt that got me to become a quilter!"

Congratulations Joann! I've emailed you

Giveaway rules that I have to tell you about

  1. My favorite quilt I made was for my sister’s wedding. It was the Heartfelt Charity Stitch Along. Two gifts in one! One was a beautiful gift for my sister and two was a donation to the Make A Wish program.

  2. My favorite finished quilt is the first real quilt I ever made back in about 2003. It was a pattern from a lady in Belgium. She was just starting in pattern design, and she now designs for a fabric company. (Congrats to her!!) This quilt has moved around the country with me. It’s a lap quilt, red-white-blue. Lots of HSTs!! So I had to learn those quickly! The three cats I’ve had since then have all loved the quilt too. Wow, it’s now 20 years old.

  3. My favorite quilt is the Jolly Bar Sew Along quilt using different blocks from the Jolly Bar 2 book. I used a Bonnie and Camille Jolly Bar to make the quilt and just love the colors. It is my second quilt.

  4. My favorite quote is the one I made for my fiance, who is a tow truck driver. I had to design it cause I could find something I liked for it. It’s a black and white grunge flag with one yellow stripe but instead of a stripe it’s a chain with a hook on the end. It turned out better than I had ever thought and he loves it.

  5. It’s very hard to pick one that is my favorite but I guess it would be oh my stars a great go to pattern always turns out beautiful. Thank you Pat for the chance to win your quilt.

  6. My favorite quilt is a pink and green quilt I currently have on a double bed in my guest room. It was made years ago but still my favorite.

  7. My favorite quilt was a little Halloween quilt using Mother Goose nursery rhyme fabric. It was a birthday gift for my best friend.

  8. My favorite quilt I made is my 2018 Eastern PA Shop Hop Quilt. That year each shop on the hop packaged a block pattern and blue Edyta Sitar fabric. I bought a finishing kit at one of the shops and made all the blocks in two months. Then I let it sit until 2020 when one winter I assembled the finishing kit and had my flimsey except for the final border. Finally, last year I kicked myself and finished the last bit and had it professionally long armed. It’s a beautiful sampler quilt measuring 108″ x 108″.

  9. My favorite quilt is the 3rd quilt I made for myself. I started it when I was 16 years old and it was printed cross stitch king size quilt. I was making it and putting in my hope chest. I worked on it through college. It was a long process. All the cross stitch was done a year before I got married but still not quilted. We bought our first home and I pulled it out to hand quilt it and finished it. The quilt took 15 years to finish!!!! It is my most cherished quilt because of all the memories I have stitching it through all my life changes❤️

  10. Hi Pat,
My favorite quilt is scrappy. My quilt group goes twice a year on a retreat and we always have a challenge. One year we all collected each others scraps to make a quilt. It took me quite awhile but I made a king size scrappy quilt that now makes my heart smile and remember what a blessing my quilt group is to me.
Thank you for this opportunity to maybe own one if your beautiful quilts.

  11. My favorite quilt at the moment is the double wedding ring quilt I made for my oldest grandson’s wedding last May.

  12. I made a Lisa the Unicorn pillow for my youngest granddaughter & I LOVE it. It was the most complicated quilt I had done to that point and it turned out beautifully!

  13. I would have to say that my favorite quilt is the 30 block sampler quilt I made for my daughter when she got married. It was for a California King bed and all pieced and quilted by hand. I spent more time on this quilt than any other I’ve made and feel a real attachment to it.

  14. My favorite quilt is the one I just finished. A baby quilt for my niece. I made Jelly Sticks by Corey Yoder using Fisher Price retro toys in the center blocks. My niece lost a baby last year so this baby is a little extra for all of us. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with all of us! Log cabin quilts are my favorites😍. It was incredibly kind of you to purchase a book to go with the quilt you are giving away…thank you!

  15. I have so many quilts that are special to me (like EVERYONE), but probably my favorite is one I made for my daughter called All Wrapped Up. It features a Weenie dog. Dachshunds have a special place in the hearts of my family and I just love this quilt.

  16. My favorite quits werevrag quilts I made for granddaughters. They helped pick out fabric and layout. The were well loved.

  17. Many, many years ago I made a dresden plate quilt for my mom and dad for their log home. Was king size, hand quilted, aland just because (?), I did applique iris blocks for the backing. Was a huge undertaking and took a lot of time, but totally loved the finished quilt and mom still uses it today.

  18. My favourite quilt is a math themed quilt I made years ago for a friend who loves math! She was thrilled to receive it and it is well used. Such fun. Thanks for all your enthusiasm and inspiration

  19. I made my favorite quilt A card tricks while camping all summer in 1996, on the deck. I ran out or white background fabric so I got black and did every other block with solid Brite colors in red, blue yellow and green. All hand quilted .

  20. I have not been able to make any of your projects as I follow you because I am finishing ufo’s and wip’s. One day. I plan to. I have been following you from the time I discovered you on YouTube. Before that, I followed your podcasts for years.

  21. My favorite quilt I made was a Dresden plate. I made it with different shades of yellows. It looked like sunflowers. I made the quilt for my niece because she loves sunflowers. She loved the quilt. She cried when she received the quilt. She recently called me and told me how much she loves the quilt. I gave it to her 2 years ago and she still tells me how much she loves it. I will definitely made another one because I loved the challenge of appliqué. I also wanted to thank you for for all your videos that you post it keeps my creative juices flowing and you give me wonderful ideas that I know I wouldn’t have thought of. Thank you ❤️

  22. My favorite quilt is Christmas Quilt Block of the Month that I got via mail in the late 1990s. I collected all the patterns, bought all the fabric, made one block and then put it away because it was too hard for me. It sat on my shelf taunting me until 2020 when I found myself with a lot of extra time and decided to pull it out. Thankfully, the 20+ years had brought the advent of YouTube and lots on video instruction that helped me manage a little better. It’s not the prettiest quilt I’ve ever made, and I sometimes think about remaking, but it represents my deep-dive into a hobby that’s bringing me so much joy.

  23. My favorite quilt is a red (red, red, everything red!) & navy blue quilt that i have hanging in my sewing room. I just love the vibrant colors together. Thank you, Pat!

  30. Pat, my favorite quilt I made was a blue and yellow quilt I made for my Mom. I used as many fabrics summer blue and yellow fabrics as I had or could find. The pattern was called Ric-Rac road. There are triangles arranged in columns. They look like ric-rac. My mom lived on Cape Cod and the quilt was very summery. My mom has passed and the quilt is back with me.

  31. My favorite quilt is a BOM called “Fantasy” made with batik fabric. I had made several fairly simple quilts and then dove into this quite complex quilt pattern. I’m so happy that it all fit together in the end. Thank you for all the wonderful information you share with us.

  32. My favorite quilt was a baby quilt I made for my first grandchild. I loved the fabrics I picked which were all tools and construction equipment. It was a quilt as you go. Large block with a frame around it. He is now 21 and he still has it but packed away.
Thank you for being you. You make my day. You inspire me to get out and quilt beautiful things.
Hope you have a wonderful day, Kathy
