The best thing that happened in 2024 was watching my twin grandsons sing in the high school choir as Freshman. So proud of these two fine young men.
The best thing about 2024 are not things at all…..they are the people in my life! My supportive husband of almost 50 years, three beautiful daughters and their families, which include five grandchildren and of course friends and extended family. It is the time spent with those you love that makes a year great! I love the cottage quilt kit!
Even though it was a rough year for myself, and it seems many others, we are persevering and will return to our creative natures. Have a Happy New Year, everyone. Kathy
The best thing about 2024 was retirement and moving 20 minutes from our grandchildren. This was also a huge downswing move but I really haven’t missed what didn’t make the move. However, everything quilting did make the move!
The best time of 2024 was going to different quilt shops with my adult children. They pick out the patterns they like as well as the fabric. I then enjoy making quilts and projects for them.
Best thing 2024…welcomed out 6th grandchild !!
This kit is so cute. And that fabric! Love, love, love! Thank you for this opportunity.
Just feeling happy and blessed to be safe and warm.
I finally found the perfect fabric for living room curtains & it’s Pat Sloans 108″ Footstool fabric! I had been looking a long time for the perfect fabric to match my blue & white plates on the wall. I decided to check out quilting fabric, & there it was! So beautiful and exactly what I needed! Thanks for designing it Pat!!
I think the best quilting thing of 2024 is I am ending the year with no ufo’s. I am the person who only starts one project at a time.
The best things about 2024…. I’m grateful and so excited that I took the next step in my quilting life of purchasing my very first Qnique 15r Pro and mid arm frame. I was and am excited to move to the next step of quilting. The next thing is being able to have made quilts fir my nephews, 2 yo great grand niece and most of all to gift my 19 mo grand daughter with her very first pair of granny jammies and her very own quilt which has a heart in the middle made of ballerina fabric in honor of her mommy. I had a beautiful year and ask for it to continue into the 2025.
The best moments for me in 2024 was a family vacation with my grandson to the beach and my daughters graduation with her masters degree. I have made many quilts this year and I hope to make more in 2025.
Many great things happened in 2024. I made many new friends and got closer with family. I finished several quilts this year. I look forward to getting more organized in 2025!! Happy New Year everyone!!
This year I was able to complete 3 large quilts, for each of my daughters, one was the flower bench quilt. I also complete a years worth of table runners!!
2024 Has been a marvelous year. I am finally healthy and I have my dear husband by my side. We are getting older and health and well being mean a lot. My birthday was wonderful and my friends are having us over for tonight to celebrate the end of this year. I am so lucky!
The best thing about 2024 was that I was able to join a quilting guild. I am very fortunate to be retired so I can sew as much as I want!
The best things about 2024 is my youngest grandson and is wife are expecting their second
daughter in February and my oldest & youngest granddaughters got engaged and will be
married in October & November. All my family enjoyed a great Christmas and are looking forward to 2025 and the happy events coming. Enjoy all your videos and wish you and Greg
a Very Happy New Year.
Looking forward to 2025. 2024 was a truely a sad one. Things will be better
In the new year.
I have had several fun and positive quilty expereiences this past year. One of the best was having my newly retired sister join a quilt group I help teach where she completed her first quilt in time to gift to her grandson for Christmas. It’s always exciting encouraging someone to join our quilting community!
I gave away three quilts this year to three people I worked with. One was for a 60th birthday, one was for a retirement (we had worked together for over 30 years), and one was for someone who was moving on to another job.
My best memory in 2024 is when I actually managed to get one of my grandchildren to use my featherweight to make a couple of small mug rugs for people. My wish is to have someone who will want to inherit my fabric stash. My grandson may not be the one, but he at least had enough coordination to make the machine work and his seams were fairly straight.
I have two more chances with the next two grandkids.
I have admired the quilt for sometime on the website, this would be a wonderful gift to make for my granddaughter. The fabric is so beautiful and soft. Thank you Pat for always bringing some fun to the quilting day. Love Judy
My husband and I finally were in good enough health and spirits to do our first overnight trip in more than 3 yrs. We are getting regular exercize and hope to get away more in 2025. Also trying to get my sewing/quilting mojo back. Cross stitch came back without too much trouble.
In January of 2024, we had an unexpected very cold period. Our outside water froze and we had to water our horses with stored water that had bleach in it to purify it. Appearently, my mustang did not like the taste of it and did not drink enough. She all of a sudden wanted to lay down and was not interested in eating or drinking. Normally, she will eat anything. The temperature was expected to get down to -3 that night, where normally we don’t go below 15 or so on cold nights. When I last checked, Mariah was lying down on the bare ground. I told her goodby and cried most of the night. In the morning, my hubby went down to cover her body with a tarp. He came back in the house crying and told me, “You have a very hungry and angry horse down there”. She had managed to empty herself and I have extremely babied her for this whole year. I take warm, flavored water to her 4-6 times a day and give her treats often. She gets fed small, frequent meals. What I thought was a terrible beginning to the new year turned out so differently. I have cherished every day of her life this year and she is now a tad spoiled!
I’ve been working on a Toni Whitney design since 2018. I am happy to report that recently, I was able to complete it and hang it on my wall! It looks incredible, if I say so myself.:)
What a beautiful quilt to start the new year sewing.
My granddaughter was married in September and my brothers and their wives along with my 91 yr old mom, made the 1,200 mile trip to come. Has been years since my family has been to see us; was a wonderful family gathering!
The best thing that happened in 2024 is that both of our grown children lived with us! Due to jobs, moves, etc they needed a place to nest!
Best thing about 2024 was that I lost a horrible, abusive & toxic job (& environment) & now have a much better job (with better pay) & I work with a group of wonderful, kind & caring people.
Sharing time with family and friends has been the greatest gift this year.
2024 was another good year of good health. Plus, I was able to spend Mother’s Day with both of my daughters and their daughters. That was a treat because their homes are spread far and wide……..all a long ways from Alaska. I hope 2025 brings everyone good health and wonderful days with their loved ones, too.
After having a stroke in 2023, I was so happy that in 2024 I was able to quilt still. It takes me a little longer and I have to think a bit more about what I am doing, but I am still able to sew! I am hoping that in 2025 I will be able to learn to use the embroidery unit on my sewing machine!
Had a wonderful 2024, spending time with my grandchildren and great grandchildren. We have been blessed. Best wishes to all for a fantastic 2025!!
That Flowershop Quilt is going to be so different than most quilts I’ve seen! It would look fabulous on my bed in my yellow guest room!!
This year has been exciting and challenging as well. I retired Feb 1,2024. I thought the summer would be a time to travel. However my DH had other plans…. He had open heart surgery. That made for a very different summer for sure. I’m so glad he has that behind him and is doing wonderful. I had a lot of time at home. I was able to watch your videos. I so enjoy watching them. I met you years ago in Nashville and took a class from you. However due to working I was unable to follow you. But that’s all changed! I hope to do a quilt a long with you in 2025.
The best thing that happened to me in 2024 is that I retired and can now sew and quilt as much as I want!
I went on my first Shop Hop. My mom went with me one day. It was a lot of fun. Definately a memory, with her, that I will cherish. She’s getting older and it was a long day for her but we had so much fun shopping for projects – mostly things she wanted me to make for her. I did get the tree skirt finished for Christmas. I have 2 little table runners to make for spring.
I had a wonderful Christmas with my daughter and her family coming back from Africa to live in the USA again. My sons’ families were here too. I was also fun to give my grandchildren quilts for Christmas.
Looking forward to grand baby number six. I reached the end working full time this year. Quilting is in the plans for 2025.
One of the most memorable things that happened for me in 2024 was getting to take a road trip to Texas with my grandson in December to pick up the truck my mom had left him when she passed in September of this year. Happy New Year Pat!
The most auspicious thing that happened in our family in 2024 is my daughter in law was elected to a District Judgeship. It is her first time in the political realm. The whole family came together to work for her campaign. I am proud to say that despite the stress through ugly comments and rumors, she kept her Christian convictions and her honest character and never said anything bad about her opponent. She won in a landslide.
The best thing about 2024 is rediscovering myself and looking forward to 2025 with a new beginning leaving the past behind
My 2024 was wonderful because I became a Greatgrandma in May to a baby boy. Then in November, the guild that I am in hosted a guilt show. I entered 6 quilts and won 3 ribbons, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
The guild is called Loose Threads Quilt Quild in St. Peters,Mo. You may have heard of it when you lived in St. Louis.
The best part of 2024 was spending time with my grandchildren at hockey practice. It is always nice to see their smiling faces.
One of the best things about 2024 was remembering how short life is and how important living each day to its fullest is!!!
The best part of 2024 – 2024 saw me moving to the cottage on my daughter’s and son-in-law’s farm, giving me lots of time with my grandkids. A truly wonderful time that will keep on keeping on.
I joined my local quilt guild this year. I didn’t miss a single meeting and came away with a lot off useful information.
I made lots of quilts and accumulated tons of fabric 😂
In 2024, we spent quite a bit of time with our grandkids, and we traveled a good bit, connecting with friends on travel – the travel highlight was being able to go to Portugal.
In February, March, and April 2024, My sister helped me completely rework my sewing studio. We purged, re-organized everything, re-imagined the layout of my machines, and made a gorgeous display of my button collection on custom shelves made by another of my sisters. I love the result and appreciate my wonderful sisters each day when I enter my sewing room.
