There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

  1. I accomplished a New Year’s Resolution for 2024 and that may not seem like a big deal, but as someone that makes a resolution every year, and fails more times than I care to admit this is a huge accomplishment for me. I made a resolution to make a list of quilts to gift and complete by November 1st and I did it! I made a list of 22 quilts and thought it was too big at the time but I know now that I can challenge myself and reach my goals. It has given me inspiration for 2025 and made me think very hard about my resolution for the new year. I am proud of the gifts I made and seeing the joy it brought others for birthdays, anniversary, and Christmas was just so satisfying. It made my heart happy.

  2. Pat . . .I have enjoyed so much the daily videos you provide. They are so inspiring. I hope to sew more in 2025. I am looking forward to 100 blocks as I love Tula fabrics. Thank you!

  3. 2024 has been a wonderful year full of memories and travel.
Looking forward to 2025 with new family travel.
Thank you for allowing us to watch and learn from you during the year.

  4. Our youngest great-granddaughter was born with heart problems and had to have heart surgery when she was just under 2 months old and a vessel replaced. She had here 4th birthday in November and was told in September they didn’t need to see her for another year but in 2026 the vessel will probably have to be replaced to keep up with her growth. She is doing fine right now and that was our best news of the year in spite of some problems suffered by us old great-grandparents who are in the mid 80’s. We thank God for being able to enjoy the year and have everyone together for Christmas except our youngest grandson who is living in Japan and is an English teacher there.
Also really like the quilt kit you are giving away. With now being able to get back to quilting after over 4 months due to a compression fracture in my back that would be a lovely way to get back into quilting.

  5. My favorite thing in 2024 was traveling 1700 miles to visit friends and celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. My husband was in their wedding. Longtime friends are the best!

  6. In 2024, we moved into our beautiful new home, close to the ocean, and we welcomed our beautiful second granddaughter. We were able to travel to have our entire little family all together last week!

  7. I had a wonderful 2024, upgraded my manual longarm to an automated one. Sold my old machine to lady who was so excited, that feel I sold it to the right person who will love it as much as I did. I also relocated my sewing room and got rid of a lot of unnecessary things, feeling 2025 will be a very productive quilting year. Thank you Pat for all your inspiration.

  8. The best of 2024 was meeting my nephew’s girlfriend and her family. The two extended family across California, Arizona, and Michigan met for a New England cruise. A great adventure for everyone and plenty of time to dine together. ….It means more people to give quilts.

  9. Our family had a really wonderful vacation to Sarasota in 2024. I remember swimming in the early morning with a dolphin behind us and also kayaking in a beautiful spot. We saw a manatee, which has been a dream of mine since elementary school.

  10. 2024 was a wonderful year, we welcome our second granddaughter, and that alone made 2024 a very special year 😊

  11. What a beautiful giveaway kit!! You are so generous. My favorite memory from 2024 was my trip from warm Florida to chilly Buffalo for my nephew’s wedding in November. The wedding was at a picturesque old hotel and both families had a marvelous time sharing the day with them. The next morning at breakfast I surprised my nephew with a wall hanging I made for him. In the 1990’s, he had made me a pencil drawing of a mouse working on a computer at a desk, using a “mouse” shaped like a human. Too cute! This year I printed out a copy of it on muslin fabric, used Inktense pencils to colorize it , added batting, a backing and quilted the details. I added a hanging sleeve and dowel. He was moved to tears when he saw it and it made my year. Happy New Year!!!

  12. I am very excited for 2025! I’ve gotten the Cutie Breeze quilting frame and am determined to learn to use it! Free motion quilting here I come! And I love the flower shop quilt! Would be so much fun to do! Happy New Year Pat!

  13. My quilting adventure for 2024 is that I’m feeling more confident in my ability to quilt. Thank you Pat for your gift of teaching quilting ❤️

  14. I completed more quilts and project in 2024 than I ever have. I feel so accomplished instead of the usual being overwhelmed. Watching your videos Pat, has kept me motivated and better organized. Sew…thank you Pat Sloan, you have kept me in the zone!

  15. Other than spending time with my family, my best accomplishment I this year was finishing 15 UFO’s! Cleared off an entire shelf of donated quilts.

  16. To be honest, 2024 wasn’t the best year. I spent it recovering from chemotherapy. I did get a couple of small quilting projects done but for the most part read and slept. I look forward to more quilting in 2025 and the flower shop quilt would be a wonderful project. Thank you for your videos.

  17. In 2024 I was able to go to two new quilt shows AQS in Daytona and the Mountain Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge. I was inspired by both to finish many of my own projects and enter them in my guild’s show in November of this year. This has been a good year for quilting

  18. The best part of 2024 was taking a trip to Arizona to visit my sister and her family and getting to see the Detroit Lions play while we were there.

  19. I completed a total of 18 charity quilts in 2024. I’m going to focus on quilts on my wish list in 2025. I’ll continue to make quilts for my 2 favorite charities using my stash as much as possible.

  20. The Most Wonderful Thing about my 2024 was the opportunity to hang out on Zoom each week with my best friend of 55 years! We live 1500 miles apart and started in March, each doing our own creative hand work, and plan to keep getting together on Zoom in 2025 — We had lots of laughs and some “finished objects” by year-end! <3

  21. My wonderful moment was when I finished the sampler quilt along with the jolly bar book from Fat quarter shop. It is the largest and most unique quilt I have ever made.

  22. I’ve had many blessings this 2024 year. However, the best thing that happened in 2024 is the fact that my Mom still remembers who us four kids are, despite being diagnosed with dementia last year. She has slowly gone downhill, but I am so thankful she still remembers who we are.
Love to you and Gregg for all that you do!

  23. My favorite quilty thing of 2024 was making 3 quilts to donate to Project Linus in my community, Davis, CA. I also love to make baby quilts for my friends new grandchildren and this year, I made 3 baby quilts for gifts as well. Happy New Year Pat!

  24. Over the past 3 years, I have made a Christmas quilt each year. One of which was “Christmas All Year Long”! This Christmas, I gave each of my children one of these quilts. They were so surprised!!

  25. The best thing about 2024 is that my son got engaged to a wonderful young woman who we are so thrilled to have join our family. I’m a floral designer and can’t wait to do their wedding flowers!

  26. My daughter moved to Japan in 2022. This year I was able to see her. I have missed her so much. It made for the best year ever.

  27. The best part of 2024 was that I could attend my quilting group weekly at our seniors centre We all work on our own projects and therefore we a lot of inspiration and help from each other. Each Christmas members, if they wish donate a qulit to be given to a shut in senior in our community. This year, 24 quilts were donated.
I have been confined to wheelchair for the last thirteen years due to a spinal cord injury but am still able to quilt so this group means a lot to me.
I enjoy your videos and inspiration. Happy New Year!

  28. My seven year old Granddaughter LOVED sewing her burrito pillowcase kit together that we gave her for Christmas. I am so thrilled that she wants to learn more about sewing ❤️❤️❤️

  29. Best thing about 2024 was my trip to New Orleans. Also bought my first featherweight having so much fun with it working on a Legit Kit Frog pattern.

  30. Omg so pretty. I wasn’t going to leave a comment for this but it looks like a great challenge to make with the embroidery on it. I can see this on my big wall in the living room. Flowers have always been a favorite thing of mine. I can remember a fifth grade essay on What Do You Want To Be and mine was owning a flower shop!

  31. I finally opened my own Etsy shop with my own quilt pattern designs and have several more ready for 2025. I made it to Missouri Star for the first time and had a class at Quilting is my Therapy with Angela and Rochelle Rice learning pet quilts. Bucket list items finally got ticked off! Very exciting!

  32. The best things in 2024- I was able to quilt more as I found a wonderful group that meets every Tuesday at a local quilt store, and we do a once a month 4 day marathon sewing “retreat”. My hubby and grands make sure that I get to watch Pat’s video’s everyday before they watch their stuff.
Thank you Pat and Greg for all you do, it is truly the bright spot in my day.

  33. Fav memory of 2024 – visiting my daughter in Monterey,CA with my quilting buddy friend Aimee -sightseeing -visit some local quilt shops – onolicious food! Lots to be thankful for in 2024 – ending the year with all 3 of the grown up keiki home is the icing on the cake! Hau’oli Makahiki Hou everyone!

  34. I really enjoyed watching your videos on YouTube. You explain things so logically that it’s a tremendous help to me in my journey. You make me think outside the box. I kinda slacked off with my sewing towards the end of this year, so I’m hoping to get recharged for lots of projects in the new year.

  35. 2024 has been a year of me working on previous kits that I had never started. Of course, I also had to throw in some new projects as well. My 2025 will be a lot of the same goals. The Flower Shop quilt could be one of the new projects for 2025. I love the Fat Quarter Shop and I want to thank you Pat for keeping me inspired.

  36. I was able to finish several UFO’s that were started back in the early 2000’s and was able to obtain a 10’ longarm frame for my Q’nique. I never dreamed that I would be able to own one. I have an amazing hubby that encourages my hobby! Thank you for all the ideas, inspiration, and encouragement!

  37. Having my daughter remain so positive while going through breast cancer, although she still has reconstructive surgery at the end of January. She has been a trooper through all this while taking care of her family and working. She found out about the cancer in January of 2024. Also my recovery of total knee replacement which is coming along nicely. Thanks Pat for all the tips and tricks you show us and the opportunity for winning a perfect quilting giveaway.

  38. The best “quilting” thing about 2024 was finishing a wall hanging made with a horse panel and a beautiful lattice border for my husband, sending it off to be quilted, and finally getting it back. You see, the shipping company wouldn’t leave the quilt without a signature which was a HUGE problem as I am away at work during their delivery hours… I was very concerned I’d never see that quilt again!

  39. A really wonderful part of my 2024 was a Christmas Market cruise with friends and family! It was a bucket list trip that was in the planning for many year and did not disappoint!

  40. The most wonderful thing about 2024 was my “quilting tribe” or quilting friends. These wonderful ladies held me up through some dark days. They helped me deal with some very difficult times. My 2024 quilts did not get finished, but my friendships became stronger than I could ever have imagined. I’m excited to go into 2025 with these ladies by my side. I am truly blessed to have them in my life.
