There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

  1. The best thing about 2024 is that I was able to retire in September. I haven’t stopped sewing since then! Today I’m looking over my UFO’s and working on identifying the ones I want to finish and the ones that can go to our charity group at my quilt guild. Thanks for the chance to win the adorable Flower Shop quilt!

  2. 2024 was a stressful year, but was also full of blessings. My mother had a serious fall but was able to receive the best medical and rehabilitation care. I am struggling with my parents aging but am fortunate to have two fairly healthy 88 year old parents. I use my crafting and quilting as a way to cope with life’s stressors. I find sewing allows me to organize my thoughts. Thank you so much for all you contribute to your community of viewers. It’s so nice to see a smiling face sometimes. Happy New Year!

  3. The most wonderful thing for me in 2024 was an afternoon spent with my nephew’s family – twin girls 11 months old (at that time) and big sis aged 4. The twins were just starting to take a few steps, now they’re going up and down stairs! They’re in Ohio and I’m in Washington State, so only see them once a year.

  4. So many good things about 2024…I moved to the PNW to be closer to my grandson and was able to spend so much more time quilting after retiring.

  5. One of the best things that happened in 2024 was that our family grew! My son and daughter-in-law added an infant foster child to their family. He is the sibling of their two year old foster daughter. We’re all hoping that in 2025 they can be adopted and be officially members of our family! They are both just so sweet and loving!!♥️♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻

  6. I only got two charity tops finished as I am now just getting back to sewing for longer than a few minutes at a time. At the end of Jan it will be a year since. I fell and had a total shoulder with a ball reversal and a broken back repair. Feels good to be able to sew again. I absolutely love the flower shop kit. Looking forward to the sew alongs. Thank you Pat for all your wonderful videos.

  7. I love waking up and listen to your videos:) I wish you to have a wonderful 2025, with a lot of fabric and projects to keep us young and occupied !!! From Melbourne, FL

  8. The best part of 2024 was getting a new job and moving closer to my family. My son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first child, my first grandbaby. I’m looking forward to 2025 with a grandbaby, and hopefully lots of quilting!

  9. This would be such an amazing quilt to win. I am a student and would love to win this and work on this quilt when I take study breaks. Happy New Year!

  10. In 2024 I finally quilted my Home Is quilt! I love it and I’m currently working on the binding. I’ve had a rough few years with health issues and so this feels like a monumental accomplishment.

  11. Being blessed another year and being able to continue sewing along with Pat. Happy, healthy New Years blessings to everyone.

  12. Happy New Year Everyone!
The most memorable thing fo me in 2024 is finding out my Daughter is pregnant! A true miracle 🩵 We are looking forward to him coming in January 2025☺️

  13. We had 2 grandkids graduate from high school, got their signature quilt tops done and hoping to get them put together and quilted in January (machine quilting them per their request), our daughter graduated with her master’s she requested no more quilts, but I might have to come up with something for her. Found out Thanksgiving that we are going to be GREAT GRANDPARENTS!!! Wow! Pink Bunny is their theme, quilt ideas are swirling around in my head. Definitely a lot to be thankful for in 2024 and more coming up in 2025. We have a grandson graduating in 2025 and going to Europe with the Iowa Ambassadors of Music program, so excited for him to be doing that. I have a few more UFO’s to get quilted but they are almost all done now, HOORAY! Looking forward to what the new year brings.

  14. The most quilting fun I had in 2024 was making a wonky bird quilt for my niece’s wedding reception. My sister and I made a hundred different birds using Lynne Tyler’s liberated birds method. It was gorgeous and my niece and her husband loved it!

  15. Being able to really spend quality time with my younger sister. She had retired and I gave her a bright colorful quilt with lots of flower prints to remind her of my hugs and love every time she cuddles it around her.

  16. Hi Pat
I made my first iris chain quilt this year. I used last year’s March block a day. It was fun trying something new and using scraps. I enjoyed your wonderful videos this year. You inspire me.
    Thanks Emily

  17. 2024 wonderful memory: was spending time with family and making great memories and quilting with you and making fun projects. I made the Fat quarter shop 2024 Cottage temperature quilt and I enjoyed making it and had a lot of fun.
Thank you for hosting your videos and facebook page. Happy New year!

  18. One of the best things that happened to me in 2024 was we had a family reunion in July. I am the eldest of 5 siblings and we all met and stayed in cabins or homes in Chimney Rock, NC. Most all of the grandchildren and their families came as well. No one is from there, but one of the nephews had been there and recommended. We came from CA, TX, AR, KY, MO, and NC! So it was to our sadness when later in the year came Helene and washed away much in this very community. I appreciate what you did for Ashville and the surrounding communities.

  19. I happy for 2024 to end, I survived my 3rd heart attack. I’m lucky to be alive, I have a wonderful supportive family, who encourages my quilting hobby. This year 2025, I plan to gift more creations, spend more time with family and friends. I love quilting along with you Pat, Happy New Year, I’ll be joining quilt along number one using Wendy’s book. I’m doing quilt number one with the log cabin and the cats!

  20. I am thankful for my family! My granddaughter told me I’m going to be a great-grandma again in April! Wish I had got in my sew room more, that is my goal 2025. Happy New year’s to you all!

  21. Thanks for the chance! My favorite from 2024 is my husband and I caught up on home repairs which put my mind at ease!

  22. I actually finished and personally delivered a quilt to one of my great grand necessary. I have been slowly making quilts for them all. Currently working on 2 others.

  23. This hasn’t been a good year for me. However, one positive thing I will say has been that I have made some progress with my vertigo physical therapy. I would say I’m at 80% recovery. Not bad after almost 2 years of dealing with it. Hopefully 2025 will be a better year.

  24. In 2024 I got to work on my quilting and teach myself how to do that. I am learning how to quilt and watching you tube has helped me so much. Happy New Year to you and Greg.

  25. The highlight of the year was a family visit to my father (age 93) and stepmother’s home that included all of our children, grands and great-grandchild. We were able to take a 5 generation photo!

  26. Well, no question the best memory from 2024 is that I became a grandma at the age of 74! We were so blessed with a granddaughter in October and we are grateful and overjoyed to be experiencing the love we feel! Hoping she will help to keep us young at heart in the New Year and for many years to come! I made my first baby quilt for her so it was a very special year!! Happy 2025 to you, Pat, and to all your quilting community!!

  27. The best thing about 2024 is my husband. We celebrated 29 years of marriage this year. In 2023 I ended up in the hospital for almost 5 weeks and was diagnosed with a rare disease. My husband has been taking such good care of me without any complaints. There’s so much I can no longer do and he has really stepped up. I am very grateful for him.

  28. Hello. My wonderful 2024 was to finally be able to travel to the Magdalen islands in Quebec Canada, an island surrounded by water, and was the homeland of my father. Been meaning to go for decades with my sisters, and we finally did. And we saw my dads house, and the old school house he went to and the shop where my grandfather sold items for a living. It is stunningly beautiful, google it for some pics. Happy new year to you and yours.

  29. The best thing in 2024 was I was able to finish hand quilting a double wedding ring that was pieced in 1995-1997. Yeah

  30. I so enjoy watching your videos. Looking forward to the next sew along. You really inspire me and so many others.

  31. I made the specific choice to slow down and not be involved in sooooo many things. I was pretty successful and have regained time to exercise, lift weights, and of some more walking. In between sessions of quilting, of course.

  32. The best thing about 2024 was the birth of my 2nd granddaughter and the joyfulness of her 4 year old sister. I made them each a quilt using similar fabrics but different designs. Happy 2025!

  33. I belong to such a great community of quilters in 2924, that have helped me to accomplish so much. Looking forward to 2025!

  34. I texted the woman who taught me to quilt. When I decorated for fall,
I had so much joy realizing the fall quilts that I had made. I really appreciate my friend
    Introducing me to quilting.

  35. One of the best things that happened in 2024 is that I found out I am going to be a grandmother for the fourth time. I’m planning a quilt for the little one.

  36. My best thing in 2024 was a big step further of realisation of a sewing place for me and an office place for my husband in the attic. Although there is still a lot of work to do, I feel confident, that after 18 years, our living room, especially the dining table, will be less mess as so far, because until now there is one half a sewing table and the other half the homeoffice of my husband. Our house is almost 100 years old, and any renovation is always a big thing and brings a lot of surprises. But 2025 seems to be the year of finishing a very longterm beloved project.

  37. 2024 was an eventful year, good and bad, but my quilting life has helped me keep my sanity! I’m so thankful for my quilting community.

  38. One of the best things that happened this year other than maintaining good health, as well as good health of loved ones is that I was able to obtain a “Piecemaker” quilt kit from MSQC at a reduced price and have it all pieced ready to send to the longarmer. It was so much fun. This is my first quilt kit, but not the last. It was so much fun! I don’t miss a video, keep up to the good work! HAPPY NEW YEAR

  39. Two things stand out in 2024 – My first great-grandchild was born ON MY BIRTHDAY! And the second thing was finally sandwiching, quilting and binding a queen size Irish Chain quilt I pieced in 1997. Only two more pre-2000 pieced tops to finish in 2025!

  40. Although for the first time in ages, I didn’t craft or quilt anything for the entire year, I am beyond grateful that I still watch Pat’s YouTube channel to live vicariously through her & so many others. After my hubby & I both working multiple full time & part time jobs, we paid off all of our medical debt & have no debt (except the mortgage) going into 2025. I’m so hopeful to be able to sew again that I bought a little bit of fabric yesterday.
