There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

  1. 2024 was a great year – my husband and I celebrated 30 years married! Wishing Pat and all my fellow quilt enthusiasts a wonderful 2025!

  2. I did get a lot accomplished in 2024 but the one that stands out was a memory quilt made from a friends husbands shirts who passed earlier this year. She loved it. I follow you every day and love all your information and projects but my lpad will never let me comment.

  3. I joined a quilt guild in my area in 2024 and that has been very fun! There is a member who is moving to Germany and she donated blocks she had made to the guild and we put them together into quilts. The quilts were then donated to a local Assisted Care facility for Christmas. A big surprise for me was that the facility is where my mother lives and one of her best friends received one of the quilt I had put together. That was really fun! I’m looking forward to 2025 as one of my goals is to make a temperature quilt to commemorate the year for my 50th wedding anniversary.

  4. 2024 final note, our daughter and her partner announced they are getting married! Our daughter is an Ordained Chaplain with unmeasurable compassion and empathy for all. Happy New Year!
Pat, I love your varied projects and videos, as well as your “love and forgiveness” of not only sewing, but to life in general. You are such a wonderful role model for us all!
    Happy New Year!

  5. 2024 was a year of blessings, though not an easy year. My granddaughter is living with me most of the time along with her dad, my eldest. My family continues to grow and are strong in their faith in God. And I was able to finish 7 quilts for some of them for Christmas. 2025 will be focused on finishing quilts for the rest of them. God is so good!

  6. The highlight of 2024 was getting together with my friends that quilt. We are all busy and scattered in different states, but we managed to get together numerous times. Visiting quilt shops together, giving each other fabrics, kits and UFO’s. So much more fun to share your projects with others who love quilting.

  7. Quilting was a good year for me. After having to clean out most of my sewing room late in 2023. Among t the things I found were a lot of small kits from the FQS Sew Sampler boxes. I made a goal at that time to get them done before I started anything elss. So except for some blocks of the month I’ve been diligently working on piecing them together. I finally got there this fall and now I’m in quilting mode. so far I’ve gotten two small quilts done and 3 table runners. One small quilt (along with one I had done went to our guilds cuddle quilts. One small quilt was donated to my granddaughter’s dance group for their fund raiser. Two of the table runners went to our guild’s boutique and one I’m keeping for myself. I’m going to make a run at about a half a dozen more than I’ll finally treat myself to a new project I’d like to do. Maybe it could be Flower Shop.

  8. I love everything Heather has designed so far!! One of the better things this year was to get to visit my long-time friend in August who lives a little over 4 hrs away.

  9. 2024 was the best year in quilting for me. 2023 I broke my arm so was not able to sew till late in year. So I decided that I would commit to my sewing and also step out of my comfort zone. Love everything I did. Was able to complete 30 projects of varying sizes and styles. 2025 will be looking at new projects I’ve never done.

  10. 2024 was a great year because I was able to spend a LOT more time with some of my 15 siblings that I usually only see once every 3 years when we have a family reunion! Thanks for a wonderful year of awesome videos Pat!

  11. Finding out about some health changes I needed to make, and I now have lost 16 pounds. I hope to continue my progress in the new year.
Thank you, dear Pat, for all the help and encouragement with quilting.
Blessings in the New Year to you and your husband.

  12. Best thing about 2024 is that my granddaughter is now 2 and so much fun. I would love to win the flower shop quilt kit. So pretty.

  13. Happy New year Pat and all of you beautiful quilters! Thank you Pat for an amazing year of learning and laughter!

  14. Best part of 2024:
Surviving 3 hurricanes. Daughter bought her first home. Our Families are doing well. My 2 nieces got married. Neighbor had their first baby (boy). The USA got a new President. Best of all! I Finally Finished piecing My Husband’s John Wayne Quilt, Going to quilt it today!!!! Yea!!!!!
    Everyone have a great 2025🥂🌟🌎🎊

  15. The best thing about 2024 has been building our dream house with my husband. Not quite finished yet; hopefully move in ready the end of January/first of February. Have my very own quilting room in it complete with built in ironing board we salvaged from my parents’ old farm house. Super special!!

  16. I quilt with Quilts for Kids. The best thing about 2024 was that we were able help victims of Hurricane Helene with warm quilts while they had to live in tents.

  17. Honestly, the best thing that happened to me in 2024 was staying healthy and therefore, getting to sew a lot. I walked, I read, I sewed and being retired and still healthy is the best thing in the world! Lol.

  18. One of the highlights of 2024 for me was that I found a local long armer willing to teach me how to use her machine so I could actually quilt my own quilt tops, I’m loving it. I was able to see my kids and all my grandchildren over the Christmas holidays and I’m so thankful for that.
I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot, thank you for that. Wishing you all the best in the new year.

  19. 2024 was my first year quilting! I did several of Pat’s qal’s and others on my own! I really enjoyed my time quilting and I am totally blown away by how detailed some of the posted quilts are!! Happy 2025!! 🎉🍾

  20. I was able to gift my Uncle a quilt of valor this year. It was a special memory to wrap him in it and thank him for his service.

  21. The best thing, that happened in 2024, was that I made enough quilts to give all 5 of my adult children one for Christmas. It was a joy to me and them!

  22. My best memory of 2024 was attending my 50th HS Reunion. Amazing milestone that still boggles the mind. How did all that time pass?!

  23. We are so happy to say goodbye to 2024. It has been a year of accidents and illness for us and our pets! The blessing is that my husband remains cancer free. I have followed My Sew Quilty Life this past year and would be so grateful if I was selected for this quilt kit. Happy New Year to all! 🎉

  24. The very best thing for 2024 was I exceeded my quilting goals of trying applique, writing my own patterns and teaching mystery sew alongs, and I was ableto donate quilts and hats to charities.

  25. I was fortunate enough to travel to Paris and London with my daughter, grandaughter and cousin this year. I bought fabric at Liberty Fabrics to use in my London Town quilt. Thankyou for the project.

  26. I started watching your videos this year. Love them! I started quilting again this year. I had stopped quilting for 20 years. I am so glad to be quilting again. I set up a nice quilting room. Now I have lots of plans to quilt every day.

  27. Happy new year Pat . I look forward to 2025 and your videos. Such a lovely quilt kit from the Fat quarter shop. Looks like a lot of fun . Have fun ringing in the new year with Greg.

  28. 2024 was a rough year in many ways for some family members. But the best thing is we got through it and there are better days ahead. God has blessed us with so much and the thing I am most thankful for is the time I get to spend with my grandchildren. What a blessing!

  29. looking forward to th new year to get back into my creative life with more discipline. The flower shop quilt is a real cutie.
    Happy new year every one.

  30. I am so looking forward to a New Year. 2024 had many ups and downs, but the best thing about 2024 was enjoying my Granddaughters activities. Three girls, all doing different things was a challenge, but oh so much fun. Soccer, basketball, cheering, gymnastics. Never a dull moment.

  31. My childhood bestie finished her treatment for breast cancer and is cancer free this year. My husband is still fighting his cancer but he is still here and is my biggest quilting fan. Here’s to a cure in 2025. I’d love this kit as a welcome distraction.

  32. I have a new grandson this year. Did get him a quilt made. But now he lives far away.Miss him so much. I keep on quilting to keep my mind busy. Love this quilt kit!!

  33. What I will remember most about 2024 were all the opportunities we took to show kindness to others, and kindnesses that were shown to me.

  34. 2024 brought us our 8th grandchild – granddaughter #4! (I still have not gotten her baby quilt done!, Maybe by her 1st birthday in March!) I also won a Blue ribbon at the Nebraska State Fair and also received a beautiful ribbon for 2nd place Viewers Choice at my Guild’s Quilt Show! So honored! Have several quilt tops made, but not quilted (I quilt with my checkbook!) So blessed to be in the Sloan Zone with fellow quilters! Happy 2025! HUGS… and stitches

  35. My 2024 had turmoil, my husband passed away in June and I still have some things to take care of for closure, but, through it all, I’m happy at 83, now 84, that I was able to keep up the yard work, maintain the house, and finish ONE quilt in November. Both my sons and a daughter-in-law were here for Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Christmas was fun even with the “hole” of not having Dad here because it was my DIL first Christmas as she is from a country that generally does not celebrate Christmas.

  36. One wonderful thing in 2024 was that my daughter turned 50 years of age (On the other hand, that made me a lot older too 😹 Nevertheless, we had a wonderful celebration for her and can do it all again in 2025 when my son turns 50! 🎉

  37. In 2024, I accomplished several quilt tops and need to finish them all in 2025, including one for my last grandchild (I have 6) who will graduate HS in May. This one is top priority. I have had a chance to spend a lot of time with my children and grandchildren which is always so fun. Thank you for all you do for us quilters, Pat!

  38. So many wonderful things in 2024. I got to spend lots of time with my grandson, my husband and I had a couple great trips, and overall, it was a pretty good year.
    Happy New Year!

  39. Oops – forgot to add my highlight of 2024. It was definitely visiting the national parks in Utah, so unbelievably beautiful and scenic our family will have many great memories of that trip to treasure always.
