There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

  1. Wonderful things happened every day for me in 2024. I have a wonderful family, a roof over my head, enough to eat, etc. I am lucky that I have been able to retire and can sew to my hearts content!

  2. I was able to complete my Quilted Witch and love it. Now participating in the Quilted Snowman sew along. Can’t wait!!

  3. 2024 was a very busy year for me! I made so many quilt tops! I have quilted about 6 of them so far. This was a great family year as well. We traveled to see family in Mobile Alabama and to River Falls in Wisconsin. We also had wonderful news and are awaiting baby Topanga in April!! I love watching your videos💕

  4. peace that comes with sitting down at my sewing machine, whether for a few minutes or a few hours. Happy New Year to all.

  5. 2024 was filled with many great memories. ONE of the best is that ALL my children were able to be in one location, having fun together, during the Christmas break. Being an empty nester, that doesn’t happen often. Cherish those times!

  6. 2024 was a good year for me. My health has improved greatly. I was able to travel to my son’s to spend Christmas with them. I’m looking forward to even more improvement in 2025.

  7. I have to make your all my stars several times a year, but the Chicken salad was a favorite. Thank you for a wonderful year. I would love to do the garden shop. It is beautiful fabric and looks challenging for me anyway.

  8. 2024 – in October my husband and I took a road trip from our home in North Georgia to Harrisonburg, Virginia. We stayed at the wonderful Friendly City Bed and Breakfast, walked around the downtown area, ate great food, and went to the Fire and Rescue Museum and went to the Virginia Quilt Museum. We had not been away from home since 2017 so this was such a blessing. The weather was great the whole time we were there and the autumn leaves were just beautiful. I credit you for planting the seed that germinated into this trip for without watching your videos I would never have heard of Harrisonburg or the quilt museum. Thanks Pat.

  9. Hey Pat, Having our daughter, son in law, and new granddaughter home for the holidays! That was my most joyful event of 2024. It wa a rough year for our household so enjoying the family was our greatest joy.
Love to you and hope you get your rooms set up just how you like them.

  10. Hi Pat, thank you for the giveaway. I was not able to quilt much in 2024 due to rotator cuff surgery but one small project I was able to complete was a Nail Polish wallhanging, pattern compliments of The Fat Quarter Shop! It has 6 small bottles of polish and I made it as a Christmas present for my daughter who has her own home business as a Nail Technician – she has it proudly displayed in her studio and all her clients love it! ♥️

  11. My 2024 was a good year. We had a family vacation with our 4 kids and my grands. It was so much fun. My quilting in 2024 was great. I did a sew a long with you and your birdsong fabric. I had all my Christmas quilts finished by August that I give as gifts for Christmas that was 7 quilts. I hope your 2025 is blessed. I enjoy your videos in the morning with my coffee!

  12. I am grateful for all that I have, 2024 has given me a period of stability on the back of some more trying times. Work is going well, the family’s health has been positive and we will shortly be welcoming a new Great Niece/Nephew. My aim for 2025 is to turn my passion for sewing into a way to payback some of the good bits I am so grateful for.

  13. I can’t really nail down one ‘best thing’ about 2024 but I can say that I enjoyed sewing and quilting every chance I got. I made several quilts during the year and even quilted several old finishes on my longarm.

  14. 2024 gave me plenty of time for sewing and quilting. Most importantly I caught 58 babies which really is my first love. Would love to give this beautiful quilt kit a try!

  15. I love to quilt! In 2025 I hope to use only what I have to create some beautiful quilts. I have so many lovely fabrics.
I’m using a jelly roll of blue prints and block 2 of Grandma’s Kitchen to create wonderful throw quilt.

  16. Best of 2024 – realizing that I have been piecing quilts a while (COVID quilter) – and that the sewing machine issues that in the past would have frustrated me – are now easily accomplished – from threading a needle to changing the bobbin.

  17. I didn’t finish as much as I thought I would but I did finish a quilt for my husband that I pieced and hand quilted along with a coordinating pillow

  18. I received many wonderful blessings in 2024, but my favorite is my new sit-down Bernina Q20 long arm. It has been a dream of mine to own a long arm and now I have my very own. I truly feel blessed.

  19. During my high school years I participated in 4-H, and most of my projects were garden/ flower related. Once I graduated I apprenticed in a flower shop and eventually years later owned my own floral shop, working in the field for 16 years. I decided that my family time overruled my owning the shop, but I’ve continued my love of plants & flowers with my flower gardens & decorating during the holidays. I’ve always credited the ease of fabric coordinating in quilt making to my days as a florist. I think this is a quilt that I need to move to the top of my “to do” list.

  20. Last year we did a major renovation to our house and turned my garage into my sewing room. I have finished organizing and I’m ready to start sewing! Getting ready to make a quilt for my niece getting married at the end of March. So excited!

  21. My wonderful moment was sending my granddaughter to a sewing camp…and she loved!! I then gifted her a small machine for her birthday and we are quilting together now!

  22. The important thing for me to remember is that God is good! Even though most of the year I’ve been sick I still remember to lean on Him. Oh and I finally got my huge foundation piecing quilt done and gifted for Christmas 🙂

  23. My favorite quilt I made this year was the March block a day. I was so excited it turned out better than I planned❤️. On a person level my third granddaughter was born this year, she is a delight.

  24. The most wonderful thing that happened in 2024 is that we all made it through the highs and lows of life in one piece with family bonds tighter than before. I love my family and when we get to spend time together, investing in each other’s lives, I feel so blessed. Thank you Pat for all you do for the quilting community worldwide.

  25. 2024 I got to fly back home to visit my mom and best friend. It was a great time, and I also got to take my son for his first flight on a plane! The pilot gave him a tour of the cockpit. Such a great memory.

  26. The best thing about 2024 was me being healthy enough to attend my 7 grandchildren’s school and sports events! I’m truly blessed!

  27. 2024 was such a fun year for me. I had two grands that turned 1. I started a fun hobby for me. A vintage booth! My husband and I have had such a good time thrifting vintage items for it. I finished two quilts for my grands and I finally got my sewing room organized!! Whew. So many other things but those are some of my favorites.

  28. The best part of 2024 was my new knee. I had total knee replacement surgery and I’m no longer in any pain. Yeah, I have not sewn in a year because of the knee pain. I’m now back in my sewing space and life is good. Thank the Lord for total healing and wonderful surgeons.

  29. My first year of retirement was so fun. Made 33 quilts this year. Looking forward to 2025. Love your YouTube channel.
    Beth

  30. I had a heart attack in March. I realized that my family was the most amazing thing that was given to me. The love from my granddaughters ages 5-10 showed me what was important. My quilting slowed down even though I still made over 20 charity quilts. God has given me this time for a reason and I am excited to see what can be enjoyed this year.

  31. I was very blessed in 2024. I switched job and now have more time for my sewing. Thank you for all you do!

  32. During 2024 I enjoyed sewing the National Park quilt along with you. The best thing that happened during 2024 was the birth of our first great grandchild.

  33. 2024 was a great year, my first full year of retirement! I branched out and started making some bags. Looking forward to making A Place For Everything 2.0 this coming year! Love your channel!

  34. Found out I will be MomMom again #6 and finished 3 quilts for older grandkids (14) (10) and (8). TY 💜

  35. My health improved is the wonderful thing that happened. I focused on self-care, walking, light weight lifting, hiking, and whole food healthy eating. Life is great and I am so thankful. Your upbeat and honest videos always brighten my day.

  36. Many wonderful things about 2024. One that stands out was a trip to the Creation Museum, Ark Encounter, Michigan dunes and whitefish point with our 2 youngest granddaughters. We had so much fun!

  37. My challenge for 2025 is to finish as many kits and panels as I can. I find that I’m always looking to new fabric and not using my “stash” so buy trying to complete one task may help me to deplete some of the other.

  38. The best thing about 2024 is teaching my 9 year old granddaughter to use a sewing machine. She asked to make a quilt. So we got busy. I allowed her to shop for fabrics. I didn’t attempt to persuade her choices. I did limit her choices for pattern selection. She made her selection. We were off to the races. She did a great job. She realized some of her fabric choices didn’t really go, so extra shopping was required. I’m so very proud of her and her accomplishments. She’s ready to start her 2025 quilt and so am I. Happy Nunna here.

  39. I am grateful for my family and friends who continue to inspire me. Quilting has allowed me to share a part of my life with others. Hopefully they will cherish the quilts and pass them on when they are ready for a new home.

  40. 2024 was a pretty good year for me. We live in Georgia but travel back to Pennsylvania for summers. We bought an old house in my old hometown. We stay there and work on it summers to get out of the heat in GA. I’m not able to do much sewing there yet but always take projects with me to work on once in awhile. I love, love making quilts. I give some away and display some. Our children come visit us there and we still have lots of friends and family there. Thank you for the giveaway. I sure hope I win it.

  41. 2024 has been a trying year to say the least. The best thing about this past year is that I have found new friends who are truly supportive and I consider myself lucky to have them.

  42. 2024 was a very exciting year for me. After 15 years I changed jobs. I wasn’t happy and I finally realized nothing was going to change so I made it happen. I so glad I took a leap and made it happen. My outlook is bright and positive. My husband and I celebrated our 35 year anniversary. So 2024 was a good year and looking forward to seeing what 2025 will bring.
