There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

  1. A special memory for me was when we got to spend quality time with my son and granddaughter who live in England. They came for a short visit and we had an early Thanksgiving for them.

  2. I was able to finish 5 quilts in 2024, gifting 4 of them. I finished the last one just days before Christmas (whew!!) So now I am ready to begin something else. I love watching and learning from you. Thank you and have a great New Year!!

  4. 2024 I finished the last quilt I made for my 12 grandchildren. So much fun to see how much they love each individualized quilt.

  5. After the loss of their Dad my grandsons and my son’s partner decided to come to visit me at Christmas. It was wonderful to gather as a family and create new memories for the holidays. Family is of course is the most precious of gifts. We all went to the Atlanta Botanical Garden of Lights and were completely immersed in their beautiful light displays. It brought us all joy and promise for a better 2025. I’ll remain grateful always for what family I do still have around me.

  6. My wonderful quilting memory of 2024 was making a quilt for my daughter’s wedding. The fabric collection was a perfect match for her sage green theme, and she loved it! Thank you for your continued contributions to the quilting community – quilts bring us together!

  7. We stayed healthy this entire year. Truly amazing. Also I finished numerous quilts and even did a bit of cross stitch. Thank you for your videos.

  8. In 2024, I had a wonderful opportunity to go on a cruise with my sons and their families. We had a wonderful time together.

  9. So much to be thankful for in 2024 – my mom’s improved health, my daughter’s wedding and a new grandbaby 🥰

  10. My kids went skiing for the first time in 2024, which was awesome to watch and help them learn. It was the non-quilty highlight of the year. I also had more quilt finishes in 2024 than in years past and hoping I can keep the momentum in 2025.

  11. I moved house from Cornwall to Scotland to be nearer to my sons ,its so lovely that they are now so much nearer, the sewing machine is out and I am able to quilts looking forward to following the wonderful Pat,learn more and make some of the sew alongs.

  12. I’m new to quilting and finished my first 2 quilts in 2024. Looking forward to completing more in 2025. Thanks for all your videos to keep me motivated!!

  13. So, in 2024 I finished a quilt top with borders and will shortly send it out to be quilted. It was a block of the month program sorted by a local quilt shop. It’s the first one that I’ve completed within one year. 🙂. Looking forward to the quilt along.

  14. My 25 year old rose bush that hasn’t bloomed in 20 years but grows like crazy finally decided to bloom. This really made my summer. I also managed to get a lot of quilting done.

  15. I had some health challenges in 2024, but I am feeling better now and am hoping to make a dent in my UFO’s!!! I need to work on my sewing room, tidy it up and get rid of stuff that doesn’t belong there! And I need to make a plan to finish all the tops that have been hiding in the corners. This Flower Shop Kit is very lovely, thanks for you and the FQS making it available to someone.

  16. I became a Pat Sloan follower in 2024! I am a longtime quilter (nearly 40 years) and I am thoroughly enjoying watching and following you, Pat! I’m working on 100 blocks right now. Such fun!

  17. Thanks for letting me enter for the giveaway! Bet memory was going to the Sister Oregon Quilt show with our new trailer. Such a fun time – lots of quilts to see!

  18. The give away is such a beautiful color combination. I would love to win this and make it for a special cousin who these are her colors. We just got together a year ago because we lost touch. We are so excited to be able to be together again and I thought this would be a wonderful gift for my cousin. Thank you so much Pat for these beautiful give aways. 🥰🥰🥰

  19. 2024 was a very challenging year for me, both physically and mentally but I was able to from start to finish make a full sized quilt.I’m not very confident in my abilities but I succeeded and the quilt was well recieved.

  20. 2024 was an interesting year filled with new adventures. I did some updates to my home, a few trips around the new state I am wintering in and of course several shop hops! Found lots of new stores to call my favorites! My sewing increased with a strong commitment to finishing UFOS! I also challenged myself to learn how to make new things like bags with zippers, some appliqué and fine tune my quilting techniques! This year the plan is to stay more focused on the project to a timely finish and move along to increase fabric usage as it’s going to out live me!

  21. The best thing about 2024 was our Grandson and his wife had a little boy, Bennett They call him Bubba. Family is everything.

  22. Being able to attend The Nutcracker with my sister from the Dallas area to watch my 9 yr old granddaughter perform. It was a wonderful experience to sit with her. We also started a quilt during her visit and took turns sewing and pressing sections together. Sweet memories!

  23. I took the opportunity to sew or be in my sewing room daily. My husbands Aunt had that purpose and I thought it was
Right for me! I finished and gifted four quilts and made other items for friends. I’m currently making a 16 birthday grandkid quilt and will be making one more of them this year. However I’m going to extend that goal to making them as soon as possible so they’re made and ready to gift when the time arrives. Just so satisfying to be in my sewing area.

  24. Had a great year lots of great family and friends. So lucky to have quilting and gardening as my passions!

  25. One of the Best things that happened in 2024 is that my son got married! We welcomed Michelle into our family with open arms! My nephew and my niece also got married. All 3 weddings were in August! What a year, and yes, I made quilts for all 3 of the wedding couples!

  26. Best thing for me in 2024, was my 1st international travel overseas to Ireland. To fulfil a life long dream of visiting my “Pop’s” homeland. He came to Canada the oldest boy (21 yrs old) with his 2 siblings to build a life here. But he never made it back. So I went with him, carrying the coin he crossed the ocean with in his pocket.

  27. My great-grand-daughter is going to be 2 this spring. I had her help me pick out a pattern for her ‘big girl’ bed quilt.

  28. The most wonderful thing about 2024 for me was surviving chemo, surgery, and radiation for breast cancer. I felt so much peace that I never thought imaginable and my quilting hobby helped me get through it. Quilting gave me an outlet to be creative, keep my mind off everything and give my hands something to do when I wasn’t feeling at my best. Many days when I wasn’t up to quilting, I would watch your videos to give me something to focus on. May 2025 be an amazing for year for you and all the quilters in your groups!!

  29. Teaching my 9 year old granddaughter how to use a sewing machine and helping her pick out fabrics for her first quilt. She has already made two and working on a third! She is the 5th generation of quilters in my family. This giveaway project would be so fun to work on with her increasing her skill level. And give me a chance to introduce her to embroidery.

  30. My daughter and her husband welcomed a baby boy into their lives after seven years of waiting. It was not an easy pregnancy. He is a miracle baby and perfect in every way. Our prayers were answered!

  31. Wonderful things from 2024: made 2 donation quilts for hospice (first time), made my first 2 t shirt quilts, and gifted 2 more quilts to my daughter and DIL for Christmas. All those are worth remembering but very thankful and grateful for our now 7 month old first grandchild (properly only) who was 7 weeks early and spent 20 days in NICU is thriving.

  32. My daughter lives in Arizona and I am in Pennsylvania. After 3 long years I finally got to visit her for 2 weeks.

  33. The most wonderful thing for 2024 is my husband is finally warming up to the idea of selling our house and moving closer to our children and 2 granddaughters. They are both about 3 hours away in two different towns. It’s like we are in a Bermuda Triangle. So it would be nice to be closer between the two of them. Less travelling.
