There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

2024 has brought me the strength to do positive changes for my health and wellbeing. Spending time with the people I love and spend more time with my mom and sister:)
The best thing about quilting 2024 is that 2025 has started. I didn’t get done what I wanted in 2024 so shut that door and started for 2025! Keep stitching!
Highlights of 2024 were the three retreats I attended – two I hosted and one other. two or three days with nothing to do but quilt is a rare treat.
The top 3 items on my 2025 “To Do” list:
1. finish the sample and make step-out samples for the January quilt guild demo.
2. Finish the Ode to National Parks quilt.
3. Finish sample quilt for my National Quilter’s Day retreat in March.
My eldest son who is 34 met someone and has almost asked her formally to marry him. We got to meet her over video chat at Thanksgiving. So exciting for our family! The ring is being made and we got to have input on helping him choose the stone for the ring. So glad he is happy! Hope you have a great year this year Pat. Love your videos and projects. One thing I will never forget about 2024 was completing my first quilt block, a pinwheel! I still have a lot to learn but I was so very excited to have done it on my own (with a youtube video)!
2024 I made a personal commitment to feature on my Facebook Cover photo a table runner for each month. I made a new table runner for all 12 months. Something different than I had which I only had made 4 before. It was fun to do and I was done with all 12 months at the beginning of September which freed me up to complete other projects I was also doing.

In 2024 I made my husband a quilt for Christmas, using fabric representing his fav college football team. I kept hearing him say, “when am I ever gonna get a big quilt”… Surprise! He’s finally happy.
CHRISTMAS WITH MY HUSBAND,ALL OUR CHILDREN,THEIR SPOUSES, AND OUR GRANDCHILDREN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS WILL BE A MEMORY OF 2024 THAT I WILL CHERISH. FUN CHAOS!!
A wonderful thing – my husband, 3 year old and I were able to buy a house this summer!! We moved out of a walk-up condo, and are thrilled to have a yard, much more house, and a quilting room! God was good to us this year 🙂
One of the best things about 2024 is that I’m starting to get my sewing mojo back. Very happy about that. Love to watch your show, maybe that has something to do with it!
The best thing for 2024 was my husband was admitted to the hospital only once which was very good for him.
he had heart surgery 11 years ago and has many medical issues.
We also got to see our 24 yr old granddaughter who lives on the other side of the country!!
2024 was a pretty good year. Probably the best thing was going on a cruise with my sister and two of my older granddaughters (ages 28 & 30). It was so nice that they wanted to spend time with me.
The best thing about 2024 is that I finished more completed quilts than the number I started. Usually it is the other way around. I can make a new top in no time, but it sometimes takes me years to get them quilted and bound. I still have a bunch of tops to get quilted so I will try to make a dent in them in 2025!

The best thing about 2024 was spending time with my wonderful family and friends. Also having time to spend quilting something else I enjoy.
We welcomed a new Grandaughter, Eloise, in 2024 and I traveled to Europe for the first time. Happy New Year Pat and thanks for all you do.

IN 2024 I WAS SO BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO MEET WITH MY DEAR FRIEND COLLEEN AT HER HOUSE EVERY WEDNESDAY NIGHT TO QUILT TOGETHER. IT’S A SPECIAL TIME TO UNWIND AND LAUGH AT THE SILLIEST THINGS 🙂 SHE’S MY SEWING MENTOR AND HAS BROKE OUT HER SEEM RIPPER MORE THAN ONCE TO HELP ME FIX MY MISTAKES.

My favorite thing about 2024 was a new grandson just before Thanksgiving. Plus I hurt my wrist and was unable to quilt for quite awhile, but now all is back to normal. So I am finishing quilts that have been sitting for awhile waiting for me to start quilting again.
2024 was a very therapeutic year for me. A lot has happened but in 2024 I made 16 quilts and everyone got a quilt on Christmas morning! It was so fun.
In 2024 I had the opportunity to make memory pillows for my those in my area that lost a loved one. It was such a blessing to take great care in creating lovely memories for them. I also got to longarm quilts for local foodbank to raffle and local church to auction to purchase 2 sewing machines for missions in Africa. It such a blessing to share my love of quilting with others. Thank you Pat and team for all you do. I look forward to your videos.
2024 had its ups and downs. Looking forward to 2025. I hadn’t sewn in 4months because my husband and I moved in with my daughter and family. I had to give away a lot of things. Which was extremely difficult. I have a smaller dedicated space and making it work as best as I can. Hoping I can get my sewjo back. I really miss working on fun Projects. Thank you Pat, your videos have been inspiring me to get back to quilting
The best thing for 2024 is we have gained a 12 year old beautiful child. Who will be now be well taken care of from now on. We are making positive memories to push the bad ones back .
2024 was wonderful because I got to spend time with my wonderful family. It is amazing seeing what great men my two sons turned out to be.
Found out I’m going to be a first time grandma to a baby boy, due any day now. 🥰 Celebrated by making him Elizabeth Hartman’s Dinosaur quilt in blue and white.
The best thing about 2024 is having family close so that they can be seen any time. I see a lot of people have to wait for the holidays to see family, mine are all close.
One great moment this year was when my husband’s knee got better enough that he does not have to have knee replacement surgery at this time. Thanks for all of the info that you give to us. Always an inspiration.
One thing that happened in 2024 that I’m very proud of is that I finally gave myself the grace I needed to when it comes to how much I’ve always doubted myself. It has taken 40 years to accept the fact that things are not as bad as they always seem to be. I made some hand embroidered stockings for a couple my husband knows, and I was so worried they wouldn’t like them. I’m horrible about making something for someone and worrying about it not being good enough. The lady loved them so much,and I think the bead work helped, that she ended up giving me three times the amount I charged her for only 2 stockings. Needless to say, I’m not doubting myself so much anymore. 🥰

I learned to quilt in 2024, it has changed my life!
2024 was full of surprises, the best one was:
My 1st grandchild arrive 11 weeks premature. He has stolen my heart and I made him a “Harry Porter” themed quilt for his nursery.
2024 has been a challenging year, but the best thing that happened was our 9th grandchild was born in May. I made my 9th grandbaby quilt this past year, and finished 3 Santa quilts for Christmas.
For Christmas, I received a new quilting buddy, my wonderful new cat, Jasper. He’s the perfect lap kitty!
2024 saw my youngest grandchild, who was a preemie, come home from the hospital. 🥰. Got to go on a trip to Washington DC. Lots of time spent with all the children, grandchildren and my mother. 🥰
2024 was a good year filled with things I love: family, travel, work, sewing.
I spent a little more time in my sewing studio than the year before. Hopeing to spend even more time there this year. Need to practice my free motion longarm quilting!
My second grandson was born 11/27!🎉 He was 5 weeks early. After a two week stay in the NICU he came home before Christmas. 💕 He’s my first grandchild from my youngest son and his wife.
One of the best things about 2024 was that I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Music Education! This is followed by spending time with family and quilting=)
In 2024 I had so much fun sewing along with all of you. Pat you make your projects look so easy and fun. I jumped in on the Ode to National Parks mystery with some shirts my sister in law had given me of her husbands. I wasn’t very excited at first because I looked at the pile of shirts and thought ,”how am I gonna make these go together.” I’m happy to say it turned out beautiful and she loved it! He tragically passed away last January and I was able to gift her a finished quilt at Christmas. I also did many other sew alongs that I love, but they are only quilt tops as of now! Thank you thank you thank you. The give away should be lots of fun.
Decision in 2024 to do more things that give me pleasure
The best thing in 2024 was a vacation with my daughter. We had a blast. I finished half of the quilt tops hanging in the closet. Plan to hit the other half this year.
This year we moved from Washington to Texas after my husband retired. It was sad leaving my quilt friends behind.
I did how ever make new quilt friends in Texas and am finally settled in and looking forward to 2025. My quilt friends from Washington are coming to my TX home for a mini quilt retreat this Spring which will bring me so much joy!!
In 2024 we were blessed with another grand daughter, but she was born 3 months early. She spent 3 months in the NICU and is doing fabulous now. Was definitely one of the best things of 2024 to say she over came her circumstance. Another grand baby to make quilts for is the best!!
Grateful for time with family and friends in 2024. Looking forward to finishing at least five UFOs in 2025.

2024 was a great year for life and quilting! I had a new grandson so of course he received a qilt from nana. I was able to donate quilts to our prayer blanket ministry and to Habitat for Humanity. Here’s to more quilting in 2025!
I have just started quilting. I bought a Bernina 770QE 9 years ago with the idea I would have it for quilting when I decided to start. I’ve sewn my entire life and had a grandmother that was an avid hand quilter. This year has been a process turning a bedroom into my official sewing room and downloading pictures of quilts I like and patterns. I’m building my stash and have done 2 large t-shirt quilts for my kids. Now it is time for me to have fun and make what I want. I have really enjoyed following this Facebook page and watching Pat’s videos.
