It was wonderful to finish a quilt in 2024.
Went to Japan, climbed mt Fuji, and visited many temples. Also picked up some really cute fabric to make a quilt that has kimonos
This fall I was able to visit my niece and her fiance in Montana. Memory making at its best.
I actually grew up in my Grandparents’ flower shop! My Mom did the books, plus she could design and put together adorable corsages and bouquets as well, my aunt called herself the head designer, my uncle delivered things, but my Grandparents truly were the heart of the shop for about 65 years! Maybe I will have to make my own Flower Shop quilt. It would have to include a policeman or postman ‘misting’ themselves on very hot beat days.
Hi Pat, I have actually had the best year for some time in actually finishing quilts. I finished 6 large quilts & several small quilts. I was even up to date on my BOM from FQS, until Christmas happened. Getting back to them this week.
One of the best days in 2024 was the day my daughter got the phone call that there was a baby boy going to be born that day and would be available for adoption. She and her husband rushed to the hospital and she was able to be there for the delivery. Our little Briggs has brought our family so much joy. Love your videos and the sew alongs. Happy New Year!
2024 was okay. I have definitely had worse. I am blessed to have a big family and I enjoy getting together with them. That Flower shop quilt is so pretty!
Hubby & I were able to take a 21 day cruise this past September through the Panama Canal to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary. Awesome memories were made!
The very best about 2024, though, was the announcement on Christmas Day our 2nd great grandchild is expected this July! Time to make a new baby quilt‼️‼️💜
The best things that happened during 2024: my daughter graduated with her Bachelor Degree, my son proposed to his beautiful girlfriend (she said yes!!!), and my new business has gotten off the starting block and is set to do well (putting out positive thoughts into the universe)!! So looking forward to the great things 2025 will bring!!
One of the best things about 2024 was seeing our niece, who has spent the last few years working as a nurse in situations which were stressful and very service-oriented and involved being away from home for very periods of time, settle into a job which is very satisfying and stable, with coworkers who are supportive in a happy environment. It is great to hear the satisfaction in her voice when she talks about her new home. I am proud of everything she does, but I am delighted to see her finding some time for self-care.
One of the wonderful things from 2024 is I was able to visit more with family and make wonderful memories. It makes me want to plan for more adventures this upcoming year.
I didn’t really enjoy 2024, my husband passed away in October, so I’m praying for a better year!
I did have a new great grandson, so the year wasn’t all bad!
Having my son’s, DILs, 5 grandchildren and my husband healthy and happy in 2024 is a blessing I don’t take for granted. Life can change in a heartbeat so I am so very thankful and blessed.
I have really enjoyed making quilts in 2024. Some were just so much fun to make, like the Holly Jolly Christmas quilt which I was able to machine quilt with a walking foot and bound in time to use for Christmas. I just loved the traditional red and green colors I used in it. Also made the Ode to National Parks quilt. I used more earthy color fabrics than I normally use and was so much happier with how that turned out than I thought I would be. I think it really turned out so pretty. It’s ready to layer and I will hand quilt it. I’ve also worked on hand quilting 3 other quilts (bed size) this year. One is completed and another one about ready to come out of the frame. I also made a throw size quilt with a friend that lives about 350 miles from me. We video and hand quilt “together” but this year we each made 2 matching blocks a month for 6 months and mailed one of them to each other, a total of 12 blocks each. We each made a 1930’s reproductions quilt. I always bind my finished quilts right after they are quilted. The quilts I worked on this year were really just a lot of fun. Pure joy and pleasure.
I’m so grateful for my life. I survived cancer for the third time. April 11, 2024 5.5cm colon tumor. It should have been stage 3 going to a 4 because of its size, but by the grace of God it was stage 1 for the size of the tumor. I was here to see (Actually watched her be born) the birth of my 18th grandchild. Skylar Ann, I am truly blessed!!
My son got married this year!
Such a special memory from 2024
Loved the Ode to National Park Quilt.
The highlight of 2024 was I went to Europe at the age oh 67! Went to Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg. Looking forward to more traveling and quilting!
I joined a quilting group and made quilting friends in 2024! I started quilting in the late 90s, but have been solo and self taught. I’ve really enjoyed quilting with others and have already learned so much!
A highlight of my 2024 is my son and his wife had their second child in May. I now have 4 grandchildren that light up my life. And, 2 of them are currently living with us. My son and his family live only an hour away, so we get to see the grand babies routinely.
best of 2024 was visiting my daughter and son-in-law in Okinawa, Japan. Plus I published my second book. On to 2025 to visit other daughter in Ireland and publish book 3 & 4.

The best thing about 2024 was I got to attend my first quilting reteat. Can’t wait to attend the next.
I took a wonderful vacation with my sister to see my quilts at the Virginia Quilt Museum. Beautiful part of the country and super fun trip!
My husband and myself renewed our vows on Wiki Beach in October for our 23 rd anniversary. We were happy to have 8 of our dear friends to witness it. A monk seal joined us on the beach also!
2024 was wonderful because I went to my first quilt retreat. And, I remembered how many wonderful hours there are in a day when you don’t spend so many of them in front of a TV!!
I finished 3 mystery quilts!! Along with many other projects!
Pat, you are my truly inspiration in loving what you love doing! You are keeping me bussy with 4 days of videos as much as you did with the 7 videos days before. Thank you for your talent in mentoring your love of doing!! and making me feel like a confident beginner…. Wishing you the best on all your 2025 activities…
2024 went by so quickly. I made one quilt for my grandson for graduating high school and a lot of embroidery projects. Grandma’s Kitchen will be my first sew along–using some 30’s prints. My daughter grows beautiful flowers. I love them also, but I live in the desert–so growing them doesn’t work!! I need some inspiration for this year and flowers are it!!
I chose to join a quilt group in my community and attended my first quilt camp!
The best thing about 2024 was the support of family and friends while going through a challenging time.
The best of 2024 was moving to be closer to our family! The upside of this very challenging move (away from friends and everything we knew for the last 40 years) was a little more time to quilt and a brand new sewing space.
Best thing about 2024 visits with family. The moments are special.
I gained a new friend in 2024 that is a blessing
I always love making quilts. but this year I’ve got more quilt tops, not done but since Nov. I got a longarm and finishing them. Its such a wonderful quit time for me
The best thing about 2024 was spending Christmas with my family for the first time in over 30 years. It was such a blessing to see everyone. My resolution for 2025 is to start journaling about my quilt projects. I continue to buy fabric with a pattern in mind but then forget what I had in mind. The journaling, following your practice, will help me keep organized and on track (hopefully!).
In 2024, I watched every videos that you did! I have been quilting/sewing for just a few years and started watching your videos in October 2023. I have learned so much from you! Thank you for everything that you do for us!
I am John the Quilter. In 2024 I discovered the Creative Grids Flying Geese tool, which I used while making the Piece and Quilt project. It made very accurate flying geese blocks. I also learned the technique to make half-square triangles 1/4”larger than needed, then trim down to size. Both helped to make my piecing so much more accurate. I had a Featherweight refurbished and painted by Jenn and Marie. It’s beautiful, and runs like a top. Happy 2025, Pat!
The highlights of my 2024 was going to see the leaves in New England this fall with my sister & brother-in-love AND spending a week in December before Christmas with my college aged grandson & his college buddy!
The year 2024 was full of delightful surprises. My son and daughter- in love were able to finalize the adoption of there two daughters,4 and 3. Then 3 weeks later welcomed their twin babies. I made all four of them welcome to the family quilts. We know have 30 grandchildren. We are an abundantly blessed.
I was able to end 2024 spending a week with my mom. I went alone, so we had a lot of time to talk and enjoy each other’s company. Three siblings were nearby, so it was also a special treat to spend time with them.
best thing was my daughter’s engagement… we are gearing up for her wedding next week!
Welcomed our 13th and 14th great granddaughters. Retired after 38 years and thankful to share more time with my husband and family.
Was able to complete 4 tree skirts for family and 3 afghans.
Happy New Year Pat! You asked for one thing…pretty hard to do. So I just thought that for me, it was wonderful this year to sleep under a quilt I had made. I never had that before! Looking forward to Grandma’s Kithchen!!
One of the best things about 2024, my oldest grandson came home from being in the Marines for 3 years.

In 2024 our church ladies’ group decided that we should provide baby quilts to all the new babies being born in our church. I was asked to piece the quilts and then it was put on a quilting rack at the church. Members were encouraged to stop and add a stitch (or two or more) and pray over the child that would be receiving that quilt. We had 6 babies born last year!!
Flower shop Quilt give away. Happy new year Pat! I love watching your videos. We love to garden and I love to quilt. This is such a cute quilt. I love everything about it. It feels like a warm summer day. Which is very encouraging during our cold winter.
My son started his senior of high school in 2024. While everyone asks me if the tears have started, I can’t wait to see what he does next. It’s very exciting to watch him make his own decisions about school and interests he might pursue in the future. So, no tears for this mom!
If I can share only one favorite from 2024 it would be I went on my first cruise! So fun! One of my best friend’s invited me to come along for her daughter’s wedding in Cozumel, Mexico.
Thank you for sharing your tips, tricks, fabric choices. Sew many things. I appreciate you!

I completed two full-sized quilts for our twin grandsons! It was the biggest undertaking I accomplished with my Singer Patchwork Sewing Machine. My New Year’s 2025 Resolution? Purchase a sewing machine that can also embroider in order to do my labels and it must have a larger throat space to get all that fabric through! Happy New Year Everyone!
Love you videos, brightens my day
