I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I mostly make lap quilts and runners/walk hangings. However bed quilts make it into the mix. I’m finishing an 80×80 right now for a wedding present!

  2. I want to have more time to make all the quilts I want to make. Maybe I just need to be more organized with my time. Quit looking at others quilts and just start sewing and cutting and making those quilts.

  3. I love giveaways as much as I love seeing all these amazing quilts! I make bed quilts and lap quilt the most 🙂

  4. I’m fairly new to quilting I started with premie quilts and then to lap now I’m working on doubles and bigger!!! I have done a bag also that was fun!!

  8. I prefer lap quilts. I have severe arthritis in my back and hips and can’t sit down for very long. Plus making lap quilts mean I can make more charity lap quilts.

  9. I am just learning, so sticking with small projects. Maybe when I have enough small projects (quilt squares) I will put them together into a lap quilt or bigger! My husband is already hawking about fabric collection. Like my shoes, he has nothing to worry about because Ladies he would have a heart attack if he saw some of yours

  12. Thanks for such a beautiful giveaway to share. I make small quilts because I can practice quilting them on my home machine. Perhaps one day my quilting will improve. Hope springs eternal!

  13. I like to make all kinds of sewing/quilting projects. Currently I have quilting using rulers, taking an online ruler class, and doing the Grandmother’s Kitchen block. Once a month I make a mug rug for my mother-in-law. She likes them so much she keeps them all out.

  14. I’m fairly new at quilting (going on 10 months now) , I’d have to say the most I’ve made is table runners. I gave one to all my sisters , daughter, son and nieces. They were my practice pieces because I was still learning. I have done 3 completed quilts and have 4 quilt tops done and two in process of piecing. Gosh, I just realized I’m a UFO owner!

  15. I do mostly lap quits, but I have patterns and fabrics for 2 large bed quilts. Will be my fall projects. I also visited a couple of LQS yesterday and scored 2 appliqued wall hanging patterns…now to shop for fabrics for those. 🙂

  16. Lap quilts are my favorite to make. Useable either as a quilt or wall hanging, but take less time than a bed Quilt.

  17. I’m having my own quilt retreat – in our RV at. Trout park. Heh – I’ve got power and all is well. Happy quilting!

  20. Lately it is graduation and baby quilts. I also do costuming for the local school. I would love a pattern with a traditional or not so traditional way to incorporate pictures for a graduation quilt.

  21. I have mostly sewn throws, runners and wall hangings. I am about to attempt a queen size quilt for my bed. Wish me luck!!
