I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I am still working on my first quilt…the solstice needs to be quilted, but I did make and finish a quillow. Lots of plans for what’s next

  2. I make mostly bed quilts that I wind up gifting ……although my beds have quilts on them, I realized how few I have kept when I recently acquired a quilt ladder and had no quilts to display on it. I’ve promised myself that winter projects will be for me. We will see how that works out.

  5. I’ve made mostly lap quilts, but now that I have my simple tinlizzie18 Empress and grace queen frame, I’m inspired to make larger ones.

  6. I would liove to win this contest just like eveyone else. Blue is my favorite color. I have completed a lady bug childs quilt,my verynfirst quilt finished. I also did a trip around the world King size, have not sent it out to be quilted. I”m still hoping my husband will make me a quilting rack(for hand stitching). Really can’t afford to send it out. I finished the top a year ago.

  7. I have only been quilting for 3 months now. I’ve made 2 small quilts for my kids, I’m working on a huge quilt for my mother. I’m also starting a quilting project in my home town, we are making quilts for foster kids. I am also working on making little pillows for a local nursing home this holiday season. 🙂

  8. I used to do more wall hanging to small laps for hanging. Then one day I stsrted making bed quilts for others and cant seem to stop!

  10. Love your tutorials and different block patterns. Just started quilting 3 years ago. I do mostly bed quilts, but started with table runners that I’ve done for a long time, then to into embroidery, so I incorporate embroidery into most of my quilts.

  11. I make a little bit of everything. Lap, baby, bed size and even tote bags and purses. I am retired and sew almost every day…

  12. Have never made a full size quilt. Of course I’m fairly new to this craft. I love piecing lovely fabrics and am acquiring a good stash. Have only made lap quilts and a few wall hangings. Don’t feel confident enough to start a large one yet, but I certainly am getting better. I’d love to receive your give away to help encourage me to make the next step.

  18. I do a lot of lap Quilts that I give away. I love doing baby Quilts also. I have done some auction Quilts to raise money for the community for people who have been diagnosed with cancer to help with thei Dr bills.

  19. Years of putzing with little sewing projects as I raised my children alone… big changes ahead including time and space for me to sink my needles into more quilting!! The big move home will put several quilting family members in my “neighborhood ”

  21. i make everything including bags. but mostly i make twin size quilts for watching TV. i like them long enough to tuck under my feet in the winter and go to my neck!!!
    i have been making baby quilts and big sister quilts… twin size for some CUTE great-great nieces lately.

    I like to make lap quilts and baby quilts and I like to use the leftovers for doll quilts. I am also starting a lil animal quilt for my daughters dog, thought it might be fun.
