I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  2. I tell my friends that I am not a quilter, more a dabbler. I make table runners, place mats, baby quilts, mug rugs, xmas decorations, and a couple of bed size quilts a year. Nothing overly flash in terms of quilting. For me its the fabric and combinations of fabric that appeal to me. Quite like blues right now ….. hint hint 😉 …. LOL

  25. Hi Pat,
I’ve got my fingers crossed on this one as I particularly love the blue fabrics of this fanatastic prize package, many thanks should I be so lucky!!!
I love making just about anything that could be classed as crafty, whether it be small or big project. For me it just depends on what I’m making for that particular person and what they need or want at that time! Small and big don’t usually count when I’m making something for someone I love!
    Hugs to you Julie.

  26. Hello Pat, I just about love making anything that is crafty!!!From small to big projects. Also projects that might be seen as not so quilt/quilting.You see at the moment I am collecting as many embellishing enhancements I can get my hands on.
From beads, buttons, and some jewellery types too, lace and some which have been home hand made which has been crocheted and even tatted by me too! Finally the last but certainly not forgotten ribbons and bows!
You see I will be making a crazy quilt very soon using some delicious silk fabrics, silk brocaide, and even velvets just to get your quilting juices going! It’s a secret project for an international exchange that I am participating in and my quilt will eventually go to my a friend in North Carolina.

  27. I have made every size of quilt numerous times, yet over the past couple of years, I am leaning towards lap quilts more and more. With so many spectacular quilts being produced by excellent designers everyday, it is truly exciting to begin a new project and to go all the way to the binding being finished. This give away is fabulous! I would love to win this and create a couple of quilts that I have been considering creating. Have a great day!

  28. I usually make lap quilts to larger full size and queen size quilts, but do occasional wallhangings and table runners as well. My quilt guild does a lot of donation quilts, including Honor Flight quilts, which we give to veterans who are returning from a trip to Washington, DC at the Syracuse, NY airport as they get off the plane. This is in honor of their service to our country. I love the blues in your wallhanging pattern, and would love to make it up for my house–perfect colors for my house!
