I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!
We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks
TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1' didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.
So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

I usually only have time for small, quick projects but am trying to complete some of the larger quilts I have started.
Mostly bed quilts.
I love making quilts to give to friends and family. I really enjoy piecing materials together for whatever project I am doing be it large or small.
Making mostly baby quilts and table toppers. but still make the occasional large quilt.
Lobe the blue and white. also blue and yellow,.
I make all sizes of quilts. When I make bed size ones, it seems like they end up being close to king size because I like them to hang over. I love to make minis & have made at least 20 Schnibbles.
I am just making my first quilting project. It is a lapquilt. This siza really appeals to me as a beginner.

Now am doing baby quilts and table toppers. Of Course I still make the occasional large quilt as needed. Love blue and white or blue and yellow… :-}
I do it all. I have several projects going at a time. I am looking forward to seeing what you have coming!
Your house block with the turquoise fabric is my favorite of the three shown.
You are my hero! You give instructions that most of us can easily understand! I’m so excited to join this group and get started on my next project!
I’ve been quilting for less than a year, and the more I quilt, the more I love it. I have much to learn, especially the basics. Seeing other people’s work is exciting and motivating.
I finished a UFO big enough to keep me warm this winter while watching TV, but I usually make art or wall quilts. It may be because I need a new bush in front of my house, but I can picture that the bottom row of the house #4 could have three triangles of the lighter fabric and one of green. If all three blocks were situated with the green triangles pointed up it would look like three bushes in front of the house!
It seems to run about half twin size and half full/queen size. Most of the charity quilts I make are for single beds (children’s homes/safe houses/veteran’s homes) and my family quilts are usually full to queen size. My grands think they have to sleep under one of Granny’s quilts….and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!
I make a lot of twin/lap quilts and wall hangings. I have made some double size quilts, but need to make a Queen size for my own bed.
Love all the house blocks.
I have started making more small projects while I get my sewing room set up after my move.
Mostly wall quilts and lap quilts right now, but I am working on a couple of bed size quilts, and I might be hooked!
I make mostly wallhangings and table toppers. I have been hand piecing mostly but am looking to start machine sewing so I can get more done. It will be a new learning experience. I like having small handwork projects to take along to work on while on car trips or waiting somewhere.
I make mostly small projects. Start quick and finish quick. I do make some baby quilts. I just love to sew!
I seem to be stuck in the queen size quilt rut. Sometimes I wander into the king size, once in a while baby size, rarely the twin size. It is like a quilt maze…I keep going in circles!
I usually make small projects with an occasional baby quilt thrown in. I just love creating things that will be used long after I’m gone.
I love all your quilts and all the information you include for all of us quilters. Would love to be a winner.
Oh my!!! I’m in love!! The colors and patterns are to die for !!!
Lap quilts and bed quilts. They don’t all start out large but they tend to end up that way. LOL.
I make about half and half, half full size quilts and half other smaller projects.
Started machine piecing a little over a year ago and all the Quilts I loved and wanted to make were queen size or larger :-O (I loved the 182-Day Solstice Challenge) I have over 6 BOM’sgoing and have started with some smaller projects too 😉 Wall hangings, QAYG, “Tankorations” (Monthly Decorations that go on your toilet tank lid), and a Paper-Pieced lovely!!! Sew many things and I just want to do them all 😀
I like to make lap quilts. But I really don’t mind any of them really. Thanks.
I strive to complete bed quilts! But, should maybe focus in table toppers or even place mats and then they would get completed within a year. ;-}
Quilters with ADD, or at least this one, need a pair of thick rimmed goggles to keep the current project only in view.
I always say one of the few projects I have completed was the birth of my child, hahaha and that was mandatory.
Pat, with all these great designs and fabrics I see on your page I will always be one step behind, and happy as a lark.
Thanks for the chance to win! I found your site about 6 months ago and just love your fabrics and blocks.
I keep thinking I will make small projects, and do make some lap sized as well. Mostly I make bed sized quilts. King sized ones that barely fit on my longarm frame. I guess I need a bigger frame! They are all fun to sew.
Thanks for the chance to win. I found your site about 6 months ago and love your blocks and your fabrics.
lap quilts and small projects are my favorites. I especially like doing portraits. Love the cute blocks. Thanks!!
Really need to start sewing again
For the past few years, I have made mostly lap size quilts for Quilts if Valir
Marmitch@optonline.net. Love the blues. Make small and lap quilts
I do normal Quilt sizes but am always learning. I started when I was 26 doing gingham baby quilts for Bruce’s and nephews. I would use the circle shape if a trash can and cookie cutters to drawn where I would Quilt on the border.
I love your blog and house blocks.
I prefer lap or throw size quilts. I don’t use bed quilts ( don’t judge, please)
I would love to be selected! Thanks for all you do for us, Pat
I mostly make bed quilts….. been following your blocks every week. Love your FB page.
Lately, I am limited to only making lap quilts, baby quilts or pet quilts. I am basting-challenged now. Taking big quilts to long arm quilters for quilting can get pricey fast. Fortunately, when my long arm quilter bastes my quilts for hand quilting, it doesn’t cost very much. I have seen the tutorials on using pool noodles for basting. I have not tried that method yet.
I started 7 years ago. Never sat in front of a sewing machine before then. My wife has taught me and now I am sssssooooooo addicted!
Love the blues, mostly make small and lap quilts
i like to make small quilts or wallhangings i like to be able to quilt them myself on my home machine and i like to be able to be finished sooner.
