I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I make some of all. At the moment I am learning paper piecing. I am going to try my luck at making a quilt from a picture.

  2. Recently started sewing blocks and found I love making blocks. Have several projects in the works, question is, when the blocks for the project are finished, will I make the quilt or use them for other items, or just enjoy seeing the blocks.

  3. I am new so doing small projects until I feel comfortable with a block before I create a whole quilt. Love the blocks that you have been posting! Thanks for all your hard work!

  4. I’ve been making Lap Quilts…my theory is to have a few large baskets full and ready for friends to wrap up in on cooler nights out on our large back deck! You can never have too many good friends no too many warm blankets!

  5. I make more small quilted items than larger ones. My husband and I have a longarm business, so I rarely have time to make anything bigger.

  6. I make mostly small projects since I live in a small apartment with no room for larger quilts and no one to really give them too. I teach quilting to residents to a senior living community so small is great.

  7. I love giveaways! My Instagram is filled with beautiful quilts, patterns and thread. I mostly make twin or full size quilts. I’m still a newbie of sorts and haven’t branched out much to appliqué. Someday I will.

  8. I usually make bed quilts. My very first project when I started to learn to quilt was a queen size log cabin. I scoured the internet for tutorials because I figured this would be the easiest to learn. I got started and man did I get surprised. The blocks were pretty easy but I wasted a ton of fabric because of bad cutting. I learned my lesson though. Recently I have begun to do smaller projects because I am looking for something faster and just as satisfying. I am currently creating a queen size quilt that is all completed on an embroidery machine (quilting and all except putting it all together)! It is a blast. I want to thank you for all the sew alongs. I have learned a number of techniques that I wouldn’t have the courage to try and one block a week makes it all seem so fast to put together.

  9. I have a lot of smaller projects in the works, with guild projects i am pretty slow. I have had so much fun with “me my neighbor” Thank you!Would love to win Blue Sampler Box.
