I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I have been making pretty much a little bit of everything! I love sewing and all of your patterns are just gorgeous and so much fun to do.

  2. I mostly make lap quilts. I have made all sizes…crib, lap, twin to king – table runners & reversible tote bags! Love the calming feeling of working with fabric! Thank you for your generosity!

  3. I make mostly bed quilts, and blue that is my go to color/ Thanks for doing so much for us. Your information has improved my skills immeasurably.

  4. I have several queen quilt tops waiting for sandwich and quilting. But find myself actually finishing baby quilts and hanging projects.

  5. I love small projects because I seem to work them through from start to finish better. BIG projects bog me down more. Anyone else?

  6. Theoretically (!) I would prefer to finish the two large bed-sized quilt tops that have been sitting patiently in my ‘to do’ box for almost three years now. Unfortunately I don’t have a long armed sewing machine and keep putting off the dread moment when it’s going to be woman and not-yet-quilt battling with machine. I’m coming around to the idea of hand quilting them, bit by bit!
For the aforementioned reasons, I tend to make lap quilts and bags for friends and family and am moving into sewing my own clothes, which I love (…almost as much as quilting;)

  7. Thanks for the chance to win your generous giveaway!
I love to do all sizes of quilts, sometimes a small one I can finish in a day or two so I can get some “finish” satisfaction while working on the long term projects or BOM’s.
I am enjoying Grandma’s kitchen with you right now :0) Thanks, Pat and Happy Sewing!

  8. I have made many small projects and just finished my very first ever twin quilts for two of my granddaughters. I just got them back from the longarmer and they turned out stunning!!! On to trimming and binding my “Amish Pinwheels” so they can be gifted in October!!!

  9. I have made king sized quilts, twin and crib size quilts and now am working on The Splendid Sampler blocks.

  10. I mostly make lap and bed size quilts. I’m currently working on 5 coordinated bed quilts (1 queen, 4 twin) for my son’s lake house ‘bunk room’. And then there are the baby quilts as need arises. I love blue, this give-a-way is perfect for me.

  11. Up to this point, I have made mostly Bed quilts and wall hangings. I want to make more lap quilts and table runners for awhile now. Kinda faster projects. Thank you for the chance to win!

  12. I would love to win this giveaway. Blues are my 7 year old daughter’s favorite color. She would just love this. She’s asked to learn to sew and this would be perfect.

  18. I make all size quilts! If I’m gifting to a specific person I’ll custom make to their bed size. If I’m just creating to de-stress or for fun I’ll make a smaller pattern that inspires me! It just depends on the day!

  19. I love quilting & all projects!! Really enjoy seeing projects here! Love winning free stuff! Thanks for opportunity!

  20. Mostly, I make lap quilts, although I have made a couple twin bed quilts. Whatever size I make, the process and the result are fun. I discovered quilting as a hobby after I retired from a 30-year teaching career and absolutely love it.

  22. I mostly make small projects. I like seasonal projects. But I have made a few lap quilts too. I love fabric! So I usually buy fabric that I like a figure out what later what I want to do with it.

  23. Mostly I make twin or double size quilts. I do love to do pp hexies and HQ the quilts that I spend months/yes on ( like the SS ) which is on my frame now. I still follow this years and keep myself motivated

  24. I’m pretty new at quilting but don’t mind what size I make. I can start with a few blocks and see where they take me. Although I am currently making Quilts for my grandkids so they will be big enough for their beds. It’s been an amazingly rewarding hobby.
