I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I am new to quilting. I have begun lap quilts, wall hangings, large quilts and even stitcherues to quilt, etc. I absolutely love it and keep purchasing patterns and material. I even joined a lovely patchwork group. Unfortunately I am yet to stop buying and finish what I have begun. It is so ADDICTIVE!

  2. I do, like most everyone else like free giveaways! And I feel that your giveaways would be lovely.
Right now I am doing the Gramdmas Kitchen blocks and and enjoying them very much. I am just a newbie to quilting (2 years in a local quilt guild and like it.

  3. Love all your patterns… try to make as many as possible. Give-a-ways are a sure bonus and helpful with the blocks.
    thanks for the opportunity.

  4. Most of the time I make bed-sized quilts or throws. Lately, I finished a table runner and was amazed at how quickly it was finished. Love your sew alongs and patterns. Am in awe of quilts with several different sized blocks in them!

  5. I like variety so I make quilts of all sizes. My justification for buying fabric during last year’s Row X Row was to make quilts for future great grandbabies in case I’m no longer quilting when that time comes. I have 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 5 to 14 so it will be a while before the greats come along! There is satisfaction in completing a project so I have enjoyed making smaller quilts recently.

  6. Loving all the houses, Pick me for the winner of your giveaway, I’m from Winner, SD so that should work right? A Winner from Winner! LOL!

  7. Self-taught, made 3 baby quilts and a T-Shirt quilt in recent years. Then in the past few years I retired, move my home, learned how to do EPP, made 2 table runners and a quilt from vintage sheets, did a Frieda Anderson fused wall hanging, and joined a local quilt guild. Last month I joined Pat’s group for Grandmother’s Kitchen and started on her Be My Neighbor pattern. So for now I’m “hooked on Pat”, learning a lot, and being constantly inspired by fellow quilt enthusiasts. So much talent and creativity and support in this community! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

  9. Bed size quilts and lap quilts have been my latest finishesbut time to start making some quick Christmas gifts! Thanks for a wonderful giveaway ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Lap quilts are my favorite to make because they can be used anywhere, room to room, and wrapped around someone’s shoulders on a chilly day.

  11. I’ve done a chain quilt for my oldest daughter, and 2 jelly roll race quilts for my other kids, but that’s it as far as big quilts…..I’ve done quite a few table runners though.

  12. I love to make all sizes, but have been making alot of bed quilts. When they don’t seem to go fast enough I do something small just so I can say I completed something.

  13. I make king bed sized quilts mainly, but have a few lap size and single bed. My family all use them in their beds and as car rugs for emergency. Love the blues and would make a larger quilt when added to my sew sampler one. Have made splendid sampler which is on my lounge chair, plus have solstice on quilting machine at present. I also have the Children’s nursery books and Grandmas kitchen going along at present. Love your site and projects you keep us very busy. I don’t know how you find the time to make all your quilts.

  14. I love making traditional patterns in queen size. Have made some smaller quilts and will be making more since my family says no more quilts for a while.

  15. I do a bit of all, mostlt bed quilts but starting to think I will do more smaller quilts, wall hangings, etc. Thank you for all of your projects. When do you sleep?

  16. Being relatively new to quilting, I am eager and want to make all types of quilts. I finished the Solstice (king size), made a baby quilt and am working on the Splendid Sampler quilt as well as the Be my Neighbor quilt. I’d like to make some runners and tree skirts too. I have never bought or owned a jelly roll, find them fascinating!

  17. I make mostly bed quilts. This giveaway fabric is PERFECT for the Solstice Weekly Block quilt I started today! (I’m a little behind.)

  18. I’m pretty new to quilting. I’ve made 2 picture quilts, a full size & a couple of throws. I LOVE the blue fabric in your giveaway! I’ve been wanting to make a blue star quilt! <3

  24. This may sound silly but looking at all the different colors of fabric makes my heart beat faster! Seriously, I walk into a fabric store, look around, it’s like Christmas morning when I was a kid. Lol
I love to make large quilts but in between I do small projects. So I do both. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  25. In the past I’ve made loads of baby quilts now that I’m older ๐Ÿ˜‰, not working, I’m not around the young folks that are of baby making age and family seems to have slowed down too. So now it’s mostly throws and bed quilts. Although I did make a small one for a cat lately!

  26. I make mostly smaller quilted projects, but I did make a full size bed quilt for my mother on her 90th birthday! ๐Ÿ™‚ <3

  27. Pat, I’m fairly new to quilting, having started almost 2 years ago when I retired from our local school district. I have made mostly lap quilts and other smaller projects so far but am about to begin a queen-sized quilt! I absolutely love quilting and hang out with a wonderful group of women weekly to share ideas and sew together! I love your quilts and follow everything you have online!
    Maureen (Mo)

  28. I really like the fabric and pattern for the table runner, it’s not too feminine and that’s hard to come by for a male quilter! Thank you, Pat, for all your awesome blocks and ideas!
