I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  9. I make mostly larger quilts from lap to queen size. I do make some smaller quilted table runners, mug rugs and wall hangings for gifts. Fingers crossed, maybe my name will be drawn. I do love blue.

  10. I think that my favorite quilt size is a lap quilt. I don’t have to follow a theme or color scheme-just get to make what I want and enjoy myself or give away!

  11. I make a variety of sizes. I find ways of using up my scraps from the larger projects. Like coasters after wall hangings after lap quilts after bed quilts.

  13. I have just started making quilts and for my first project I’m making a 4×5 block for a beach blanket. I have with the help of my sister put together a 2×2 cat square to make a pillow for my niece. I’m the type that is up for a challenge to. I like to always try new things!!!!

  14. I do love a give away! Lately I have been making smallet quilts and table runners, recently I started a “big girl quilt”. I am excited!

  15. I’m still learning. I started with a kind sized bed quilt’. Obviously I had no idea what I was doing! It has so many mistakes that I have put away and haven’t been ready to be braver enough to try again. I have done much, much smaller things and will someday get strong enough to work on the king size one sometime.

  16. I haven’t been able to sew in nearly a year, as my entire house had been packed up and put into storage. Finally in our new place and slowly unpacking what feels like a billion boxes. Leaving my sewing space for the end. If I unpack that first, the rest will be sitting here forever .. lol Now, as to the question, I can honestly say that I don’t have a preference. I’ll make up whatever catches my eye at the moment, or whatever I feel will best suit a specific need for gifting, etc. Before moving, I had been working on small seasonal display blocks. The project immediately preceding that one, however, was a light weight summer quilt to ship overseas to India.

  17. I usually make lap quilts although have made single and queen sized quilts on my domestic sewing machine as well. Love your work. Thanks for the opportunity to win this fabulous prize.

  18. I love to make bed quilts because they make me warm & fuzzy inside and out! My family cherishes and use them all of the time!

  19. I make mostly bed size quilts, and just won a white ribbon at the county fair for a Pat Sloan block of the month quilt (2016). Would really love to be able to get to Harrisonburg to the Virginia Quilt Museum to see your quilts live and in person.

  20. I make small items as I am just starting to quilt. Hope to progress to larger pieces as I learn and improve.

  21. I’m just starting my quilting journey. I’m following along with the Grandma’s Kitchen quilt along and I’m having a blast! Thank you!

  22. I used to make lots of small seasonal projects to give to family but now, with all your sew-a-longs..I seem to be making lots of lap and bed quilts!

  23. I make a variety of sizes, from mug rugs and potholders to bed size. The largest I have made so far is a twin, but I have some full size quilts planned

  24. I like bed quilts, even though it’s much more work.
I just work until I am finished.

  25. I work full time++, single so all the yard work and house work has to be done by me too. So I mainly do small projects, that way at least I can finish something in this century 😉 Love the blue fabric and the pattern! Best of luck to all who enter.

  26. Seems to be mostly big quilts that I’m working on lately. But I do a variety of lots of things not just quilting. Thank you Pat for all the great patterns and all the inspiration!
