I have a wee teeny tiny little collection of holiday fabrics (insert eyes looking to the heavens…) So I got out the crate.. tub... um.. I mean little box of them … and used a piece of my Santa fabric for the window! I'm going to start looking for darling prints to add in!

We are on Block #4.. below is the download & link to my project page with ALL the blocks

TRUE CONFESSION.. this is 'Try #2' as 'Try #1'  didn't quite make it.. want to see?

When I made this block I didn't think about how using a different fabric at the bottom would create an entirely new look. It makes the house short. I put it on my design wall for awhile and it bugged me.

So I had a date with Jack, Jack the Ripper, and fixed it up! Don't you think it's better on the one above it?

  1. I like to make baby quilts for family and friends, and have several large quilts going.
I really enjoy the sew alongs!

  2. I’m just a newbie to the art. I’ve made 3bed quilts one in Charger colors, one in purples, and finished one that was over 100 years old. I’ve made lots of lap quilts. But I could probably make anything. Super excited to be part of this group!!

  3. Giveaways make wonderful gifts—to pay it forward! I’m looking forward to my house blocks with Pat to go to a friend who once had to live in his car—so he will never be without a house again!! Thanks for all the inspiration!!

  4. I make all kinds of quilted projects. I have made several wall hangings, baby quilts and full size bed quilts.

  5. I am definitely a laptop and table topper quilter. Too hard to quilt on my own machine and the cost to have things longer take the ability to gift expensive. Love the giveaway, right up my alley!

  11. Pre-PS (Pre Pat Sloan!), I made wall hangings and did it all by hand. I now feel pretty comfortable piecing with a sewing machine and the last two quilt tops were a double and the solstice challenge- easily a queen. Pick me!! =)

  12. Seems like I have made large quilts the last couple of years for wedding gifts for grandson and two great nieces. Love appliqué and any/all small/large quilts! I’m kinda hooked on BOM now, wow love it all!

  15. I am working on a quilt with a lake theme for a king size bed. It will take awhile but I think about it as a series of small quilts sewn together.

  16. Currently I am just starting out and am shooting for baby quilts, though my loves of color and pattern is already getting me in trouble. I have fabric for 10 different projects and have just barely started one! What I really need is a time machine that I can use to stop time while I work on/finish my projects without neglecting the dishes and laundry. Oh and the hubby and 4 kids…

  17. I make mostly bed-size quilts. If I’m trying out a new pattern or trying to see if my fabrics go together well, I will make a small project like a table runner, pillow, hot pads, baby or lap quilt.

  18. Wonderful giveaway! I mostly make baby quilts for all my grand children but also love making small projects that I can finish easily.

  19. I am a scrap quilter mostly, working on depleating my stash! Only way I know of to make room for more fabric!

  24. I make more bed size Quilts than lap Quilts. It’s according to who I’m making them for.
With 3 grandsons over 6’4″ bed size is all that works. LOL

  25. I love doing small projects, but every now and then will decide to make a quilt bigger than lap quilt. SEW many projects…..SEW little time!!
