*** Block Details ***

Block #6 is a very cozy activity, Reading a book by the Fireplace! Honestly we didn't had a fireplace until our current home.. unless you count the electric one that my Granny moved around the living room when she redecorated!  I do remember gorgeous fires at the ski lodge and I certainly did sit by those and read a book, I read a LOT of books as a kid

So what book are you planing to curl up with in a cozy spot and read this winter?

  1. I don’t have a fire place as I live in Qld Australia, but when living in New Zealan
There was nothing better on a cold evening with a hot cocoa and a good book, how I miss those days!

  2. I know this week is about books, but this block reminded me of candy! The hard candies wrapped in cellophane. The corners are like the ends you pull apart to open the candy. But back to books… I love reading probably only second to sewing. I read about one book a week. At Christmas I like to reread my faves from the year or previous years. So I will probably be curling up with some Jane Austen, Christina Lauren and, of course, no Christmas is complete without Charles Dickens Christmas Carol!

  3. I am reading a Dean Koontz book “From the Corner of His Eye” (very good) and “The Case For Christ” (non-fiction). I’m drinking a new beer called Black Tooth Copper Ale. It’s very mild here today for this time of year! I’m in Wyoming and it’s 53 degrees. I like this block Pat!

  4. Back to childhood for me 😉 Re-reading The Story of Louisa Mae Alcott to keep in check with my grand daughter’s reading progress for a school project. And for myself, I’m reading on the Blizzard in the North MidWest of the 1800’s.

  5. Lately my reading has been listening to Audible while curled up around my sewing or quilting machine, listening to it happily sew away while I create. With my water and coffee cups nearby, I can spend several hours listening to a great murder mystery or a childhood favorite, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.

  6. I don’t have a fire place per say. But I do love to curl up on the couch under a homemade quilt of course, a cup of tea. Looking forward to reading one of Lisa Wingate’s newest books. I’ve read almost all of her books.

  7. You forgot the rocking chair – a book, the fire (mine is gas with a switch on the wall), a drink, a quilt in the rocking chair. Doesn’t get much better than that. Light fluffy snowfall outside is a nice touch!
