  1. My favorite childhood TV show was I Love Lucy. I loved to snuggle in my dad’s tv chair when I was home sick with a big quilt and watch with my mom. In our small tv room / den there was one chair for my dad, the desk chair for my mom and we kids sat on the floor.

  2. Who else had aluminum foil on the rabbit ears lol I remember on Sunday evenings we watched Marlen Perkins then Wonderful world of Disney before bedtime.

  3. My favorite TV shows were Mary Tyler Moore and murder she wrote. I also lived all the oldies, Gulligsns Island, Bewitched, and Green Acres.

  4. I’ve been making your blocks but this is in regard to the pandemic. Info heard on tv that non-medical people are needed to be trained to give the vaccinations. Is this not a job for quilters? We stick needles and pins into fabric and pincushions and sometimes ourselves. Only problem the announcer didn’t say who yo contact.

  5. Is block 3 smaller than block 1 & 2, mine turned out smaller ? This is the first time I have ever done a sew along I am having a blast and look forward to the next week for a new block.

  6. hi Pat. when i trim hst’s i don’t CUT them appart until I trim. This gives me more material under the ruler/I trim both sides and then after i cut them appart i trim the dog ears off. When i get everything cut out i go to page 4 and lay out all the pieces out so i can production sew and can see if I am right. PAT I KNOW I DONT CONTRIBUTE TO ALL THE GROUP DISCUSSIONS BUT I HAVE MADE ALL YOUR QUILTS FOR 3 YEAR OR MORE. i AM 76YEARS YOUNG AND AM ALWAYS LEARNING SOMRTHING NEW OR EASIER TO MAKE MY QUILTS BETTER. THANKS FROM MY HEART, WHEN I WAS YOUNG IT WAS “THE HOWDUDY DOODY SHOW IN THE MORNING AND ED SULLAGAN AT NIGHT.

  7. Oh, in our house it was Dean Martin on Thursday evenings and Lawrence Welk on Saturday evenings – “…good night, sleep tight, and pleasant dreams to you …”

  8. I remember the black and white shows as a teen. Leave It To Beaver, and The Nelsons. And always The Ed Sullivan Variety Show every Sunday. As a family of 7 we watched these altogether. Reliving those fond memories now.

  9. We didn’t get a TV until I was 10 years old. The first TV I saw was through the big doors of the firehall down the street from where we lived. They let us see the news – nice guys. Anyone remember Mighty Mouse? Woody Woodpecker?

  10. I want to thank you, Pat Sloan, for the work you put into your patterns. I think you are one of a kind because other designers do not show what the size should be after sewing, and for newer or even confident sewers, it helps. My favorite page is the picture showing the block together and the sizes on the block. I use that one the most, and I’m thinking of making this quilt because I like the page with the whole quilt! I look at every page so thank you!!
