What a gorgeous day in Virginia, spring is popping up!! I have teeny tiny daffodils in my front garden, they are a ray of sunshine. And when I took a walk a blue bird landed on a branch right by the sidewalk. I had to stop and watch it for a few minutes. I don't normally see them so closely.
Thank you for the tips on flowers yesterday, now to look at the lighting for the Hydrangeas to pick a good spot.
Today on my video

*** Row #1 of Serendipity! ***
I'm using these fabrics from my Morrison park and I love how they look! My quilt will be so different than the blue one, it's fun to see it made in other fabrics.

Every two weeks we will publish a new pattern for this gorgeous quilt
We ask that you make a donation for each pattern or make a lump sum. The Fat Quarter Shop with your help has been donating each year and making a difference in Children's lives.

I love that too. II is so helpful you can check each block so when you go th put it together you will have and easy breezy time of it.
I have trouble with my 1/4 seam allowances. Some of the units I have to sew at a very scant 1/4 inch, and others at a scant 1/4 inch. The 1/4 inch foot on my Bernina 880 sews a generous 1/4 inch which throws everything off. So when I go to put the units together I have to re-adjust my seams. I made a king size quilt and my blocks were suppose to be square. They were off by 1/2 inch. Had to cut off the extra. I kept checking my math and knew it was right. Not until I started making some blocks where Pat had the measurements of what each unit should be did I realize my seam allowances (even though I was using a 1/4 inch foot) were off. I do appreciate Pat putting in the sizes of what each unit should be.
Did anyone else have trouble with block 9 ? I worked on it all day long I recut remeasured I made 3 and If I didn’t have the hardest time. Where the 1/2 square triangle blocks meet the main part of the block That middle part for me was hard. I am still off about 1/8 of and inch. My points are just not behaving them selves and it is driving me crazy.
All the other points meet up well and I am happy about that. Must be a trick to it. I got two out of the four right. If you know a trick please share it should not take me two days work on one block should it. Any ideas are appreciated. Thank You
Pat, I’m truly impressed with how your block look. Do you steam press or dry press? My block do not lay like yours. Help, please. I really enjoy your videos. I’m away from my sewing machine for the month of March, so will have some catching up to do once we reunite.
is it possible finish block page come in in color. Would make the selections of fabrics become so much easier. Thank you.

When quilting with the wave stitch, how do you keep the weight of the fabric from distorting the size of your waves?
