It is cozy and generates Hygge to have something we are fond of. It makes us feel good, feel peaceful.

My husband has a favorite – the love seat right in front of the picture window looking out on the Kettle River. Although its location makes the room look kind of funny, it just means so much to him to have his favorite place — and its where we sit to watch movies together. When company comes, we move the love seat to make the room look more inclusive, but home is where you are the most comfortable 🙂
The “thing” in our house is the kitchen table. We gather around it for a nightly meal or just to talk & have a cup of tea. Now that we have a granddaughter, she sits at the table & listens to stories of her Dad when he was her age. Love this sew along!!
