***Tips!***
How to audition your setting block from the layout
- I sewed the top and bottom section of the setting block, leaving the middle to audition
- Pin the blocks, vertical fabric and setting block sections up on the wall
- take a photo of each option
- look at them in your camera to see from a distance what works.
- I think both the red and blue work.. which did I pick?

I picked blue!
Since my long spacer strips are red, I went with adding blue to the middle

***Bonus layout Block this week***
I always have bonus layouts that show you how the block is used in a quilt.

What week was the Courthouse Steps block featured?
Loving my indoor plants during this time of year. My Lemon Tree fruit is ripening quickly! Adds a wonderful sunshine in my sitting room on cloudy days 🌞.
Question for Pat: ok actually two questions on this one…….pressing the seams? Which way, always to the dark? Then you have a huge BUMP where two angled seams are going the same direction on the HSTs. I tried pressing open after watching Kimberly from Fat Quarter Shop. I still had problems matching up even after carefully cutting and trimming and sewing with my 1/4” foot. Also the colors on this, so red is considered a medium color and the aqua a dark color? Isn’t that backwards from before? Or am I just confused? I cut the aqua at 3” squares and the red at 5” squares and had to recut them all. This one was harder and I don’t know why. I’m discouraged. This is not feeling “Cozy” any more!
The only holiday or season I sew for is Christmas. I sew Christmas anytime I’m inspired.
Am having troubles getting your daily blogs so have subscribed one more time. Loved the way you changed your blocks in Go West. Have been loving the Wednesdays block. Keep up the great work. I look forward to getting the daily blogs.
I must be overlooking the pattern for the setting block in Cozy Things. Have you posted it?
So in Block 4 of Cozy Things, you are saying the red fabric is the medium color and the aqua is the dark? Or am I confused? I thought the aqua fabric was medium and cut out the pieces that way. And the red as the dark. But when beginning to sew, it does not appear to be correct. ARGH!
I am so glad you changed those blocks around. I felt like you from the first time I saw it. It looks so much more balanced now. Good for you!
The Glugg wine recipe in this book is delicious. We sat outside on our deck around our firebowl, wrapped in quilts while we enjoyed the warm Seasoned wine. The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living (The Happiness Institute Series) by Meik Wiking
I have a lovely sunny warm nook with a view of tall colourful trees. My challenge is making the time to go there!
I like this block!!!
As usual I am loving the new quilt blocks. Your QALs are ones that I actually do and don’t just collect blocks. Some of my favorite quilts! On another note, is there one of the Hygge books that you would recommend for a starter? Thanks for sharing so much of you.
I’ve been making courthouse steps from the #sewsamplerbox October & playing with the kittens a stray kitty had. I’m trying to capture her but she out smarts me every time!
Yesterday, in Boston, MA I was listening to the wind blow through the colored crispy leaves ready to hit the ground.
Heading out into Nature shortly to continue getting gardens ready for winter. Stepped out & feels great compared to last week’s damp rainy weather & Monday’s winds & blowing leaves. I’ll feel cozy while working & then again next spring when Nature brings forth new starts.
