***Tips!***

For fabrics with directional images, I want to audition the fabric before sewing

Pin right into your design board

Then pick it up carefully, be sure you do not rotate, sew, and place back in it's spot.

  1. I finished my Charming Christmas Tree by putting on the binding today. I also finished my Bring Home the Tree. Now I am ready for the Holidays

  2. Hi Cozy Hyggely quilters!
I found the audio version of Meik Wiking’s book and sooooo connect with it. He’s got 2 more books as well which I’m reading. I love the idea of hygge and hyggely. It’s me. Since I cant’ light a fire I’ve found a few youtube channels with fireplaces. My cozy place is anywhere there isn’t the blaring sound of a tv, cell phone, or radio station. I sometimes pull the electrically cord out of the outlet and “act” like it must have been the roomba. 😉 You can’t hear the birds with all the electronic racket and you can’t hear the birds if you have things stuffed into your ears.

  3. I guess my cozy place is here at the table with my ipad next to the big windows that make up the entire back wall of our home that looks out on the lake behind us. It is fun to watch the ducks and geese, an occasional turtle and jumping fish. We have lots of birds and squirrels as well out there playing on the deck and in the yard. I also can cross stitch, knit or crochet right here at the table.

  4. Hi Pat,
This is my second sew along and both were with you. I love your patterns. They make me feel cozy while I stitch them in my sewing room. I don’t sew as fast as most others, but I am getting there. Thanks again for the wonderful patterns that you come up with.

  5. Hi Pat, i have a comfy rocker/recliner in the living room where i can rock and read and follow my friends on line. i also have a 30 x 70 fenced back yard right out my back door. in it i have a nice swing on a steel frame and me and the “pups” 6 years old chahuahuas Buddy and Angel aka Devil and Devillette can go out side a couple of times a day. Though i keep the screen open a little bit so they can come in and out as they please. We can sit and watch the squirrels, bunnies and deer pass through the back acres of our land . They bark and run up and down and i laugh. sometimes Paco or Dixie come visit then the race is on as they run around 3 sides of the yard playing “catch me if you can”. The pups won’t go out if its wet or raining but just sit on the porch and look. We live in Alabama and the colors are just happening.

  6. I’ve ordered the book you recommended with the list in it. I’ve been doing some online searches on hygge, too. I had not heard of this until you posted about it. Good stuff!

  7. My favorite Cozy Things is soft, comfy sweaters.
I’d like to begin cross-stitching again. I’ve injured my right hand so haven’t been able to do anything much since. My daughter visits once a week so does my fabric cutting plus I’m using lots of precuts.
My cozy place is my front porch swing. My front porch overlooks the lake so it’s perfect for enjoying coffee in the mornings, iced tea in the afternoon, and hot cocoa when the weather cools. It’s quiet and peaceful.
Thank you for all you do! I see you every day online and YouTube!

  8. I’m making two quilts out of this sew along. Ive had two sets of 10” blocks with no “plan”.
One is cats the other flowers. I’m planning on donating them to women in the local veterans
home. Thank you Pat for all your creative ideas.
My cozy spot is in my family room. Comfy chair, evening coffee, good book or hand sewing
I do quilting in the early morning. Lovin’ retirement after 40 years of working👍🎃🥰

  9. Well, I see that I just did this wrong – it requested my url – and I put in the one for my blog cause it’s the only one I had. Wasn’t supposed to do that – sorry. Won’t do it next time.

  10. I’m enjoying the sew along, it’s the first one I’ve ever tried. It’s giving me a chance to use some fabrics I’ve been holding onto for a long time – bought because I loved them but had no project in mind for them.

  11. I love all of the blocks so far. As soon as my husband gets out of hospital I will start on them.
