  1. My summer plans are to finish the fence project we started last year around our garden. Our original plans included taking Owen to the zoo (we did that last week)! He loved it so much! Thank you for the chance to win! Owen said to tell you “Hi friends!” Since school is out he is sleeping in and has been missing the morning chats.

  2. My summer plans are to try and finish some quilts and have started making some little gifts
for my family for Christmas. Never too early for that. Always enjoy all your videos.

  3. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to go on an European river cruise in a few weeks and I’m busy packing and getting ready! Can’t wait!

  4. Well Pat my summer is hanging out in a small one bedroom apartment in a city far from home with my Bernina while my husband goes through a bone marrow transplant. Not fun for either of us being away from home for 4.5 months but doable with my sewing machine. Hope yours is better than mine. Thanks for all you do for us fans.

  5. No time for our annual trek to the Outer Banks NC this year… Staying home to catch up on much needed yard renovation… And LOTS of sewing and crocheting for our first Grandbaby!!!!

  6. My plan for summer is being here in Alaska! I don’t get to sew here but I can cross stitch and crochet. I am really looking forward to getting back to the sewing machine in September. Everyone have a great summer!

  7. Making quilts and embroidered items for my expected grandsons arriving in September and December. So excited and happy!

  8. This summer I plan to stay home and work on quilt projects. Thank you for offering a very generous give away.

  9. July 1st summer is upon us….temperatures this week up to 108! Perfect sewing weather….where will I be…relaxing….enjoying summer shade??? Sadly, my surgeon scheduled my right hand carpal surgery for Wednesday, July 3rd! No exotic vacation plans for me this year….recuperating in my recliner with a pitcher of ice tea and a stack of great books to read! It will be great to start sewing as soon as I recuperate….after surgery on left hand….safe to say it will be a do not much summer for me! I’d love to win Kate’s tank top and your great fabric. I have several of her shirts and love them! Blessings, Dawn, Central Valley, Ca

  10. Finishing up projects, a little flower gardening, and a trip to the mountains are in store for us this summer. Keeping Cool would also be a plus. Thank you for your videos and laughter.
    Hugs

  11. Thanks so much for your give-away! PORCH SWING is my favorite of your collections. I am planning a trip to the “New” Virginia Quilt Museum location! I really love going up to that area & visiting the great fabric & antique shops around Dayton. I have never been to the Mill–so I am looking forward to it. PLUS, as always–too HOT to do anything else but SEW! I am quilting a large Queen size project right now & can’t wait to get it bound & done.

  12. My summer plans include quilting, attending my grandson’s graduation from Marine boot camp, decluttering my house ,spending time with family, and just enjoying the beautiful season.

  13. I would like to start on Christmas gifts this summer along with time with friends and family.

  14. Taking care of some much needed yard work, babysitting youngest grandson and enjoying his terrible almost 2 temper tantrums lets me relive MY 3 son’s at the same age. Quilting naturally. Kate Spain is so creative, her designs are right on the money.

  15. Summer is usually my quilting time since the “school year” is so busy. This year, summer is settling into and setting up our new home — 85 miles from where we were. Also spending time helping our son move and settle into his first home. My sewing machine calls to me — and I go give her a gentle tap and say “soon baby, soon.”

  16. My summer plans will hopefully include a trip to see my sister in MI. We haven’t seen each other since 2019, just before Covid closed down the world. Five years is a long time to not see your sister/ nest friend. I truly hope to make the drive this year. I like the tank top but I mostly love the 2.5” strips of your Porch Swing line. I love the large Daisy print.
I watch your videos every day that they are shown. Love them!

  17. I don’t use solid fabrics in my quilting. I like more design and movement in my choices. This summer, I am doing (being a vendor) 8 craft shows. I make quilted table runners and baby blankets. And I knit baby sweaters and blankets. I keep busy. I really enjoy watching your videos and learn so much from you. Thank you!

  18. Our grandson plays American Legion baseball so will be spending lots of time at the ballpark. It’s hot in NE Oklahoma so will also be spending time in my sewing room.

  19. Summer plans are to enjoy visiting with grandchildren, gardening and taking in the good weather.

  20. Don’t really have any summer plans except quilted bag with friends when we can get time together

  21. We are going to a family reunion in a couple of weeks. We all haven’t met together for 8 years, so that should be fun. Of course I have some unfinished quilts to finish!

  22. I plan to get some sewing, quilting and book reading done while enjoying being at camp. I sure would love to win the fabric to sew a jelly roll sampler quilt!

  23. Started collecting solids after taking a few improv classes through my guilds. Never thought I would like improv! This summer I plan to tackle as many small tips to finish for the wheelchair lapquilt project we do…right after I work on putting together the scrap block you demonstrated 😊 always something!!!

  24. I have baseball and softball games to attend for my grandchildren. If any time left I would like to finish some UFOs!

  25. My summer quilting plans are to 1) do a T shirt quilt for my grandnephew for his high school graduation next spring 2) sandwich some quilt tops at our quilters guild summer sit N sews, 3) continue to work on quilt tops at our Monday morning Senior Center quilt sew and a monthly “Material Divas” Saturday sew. Whew!

  26. My summer plans involve family and quilting. I will be spending a lot of time with my family. We have a tent at the county fair. A tradition with my son in law’s family. Quilting is also in my plans. I hope to catch up on some ufo’s. I’m going to make the Christmas mystery quilt from Fat Quarter shop. And I’m continuing to put together 16 patches using 2-1/2” leader and enders

  27. I plan on spending as much time as possible glamping in our 5th wheel trailer. I’m only packing UFO’s to work on, so hope to complete some!

  28. We plan to visit our children. Our son will take us kayaking and maybe even zip lining at the Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia. I still have things to make for a craft show, but I am ready to start another quilt with a beautiful jelly roll!

  29. We are planning a trip to the Pacific NW to see family and grandchildren. Then my husband asked for a quilt so I am working on one for him for the fall.

  30. Our summer plans are having my son and his wife move in with us for 6 months while their house is being built. I am so excited since all 3 of my kids moved out of California. We will be taking many trips to the SoCal beaches and mountains.

  31. Hi Pat, well my summer plans are on hold at the moment due to some medical tests but they may turn into Fall plans, which would be to visit family in Ohio😁(I live in California) So in the meantime I am quilting, quilting, quilting! I would love to win today’s giveaway nd turn those beautiful strips into a quilt!

  32. We’ve already done our major vacation plan, a trip to Yellowstone and area, taking our son and his family for their first trip there. In September, we are going to the beach for a week. Otherwise, staying home and quilting!

  33. My summer quilting plans include spending a lot of time in a lounge chair with my two little dogs, who enjoy being outside, and doing some English Paper Piecing. Just “inch by inch”, “row by row”, gonna watch my quilt top grow!

  34. My summer plans include, our big America’s birthday party ( 4th of July) – the grands have always called it America’s Birthday. Right after that I put up a tent in the back yard so the grands and I can have sleep overs.
The last Saturday in July we all go to the one day fair here, that is only open 9-5. The grands all get t-shirts.
Spending time with family and sewing will take up the rest of the summer.

  35. This summer we are planning our first ever Related Ladies weekend in the Finger Lakes of NY. There will be 11 of us and we are all related…sisters, sister in law, nieces, cousins. We found a great place right on the water with many amenities. If it goes well, we look to do the Poconos next year.

  36. Plans for my summer include a trip to Indiana quilters hall of fame to see Bonnie hunters quilt exhibit and a quilt shop hop. Gardening and quilting ,also golf🥰

  37. What a great tee and love purple and teals together ! We’re going to see my son and his family next week. He is in the US Marine Corps and will be deploying next year so we treasure all the time we can spend together now, which also includes time with my three grandbabies and spoiling them, haha.
    usairdoll @gmail .com

  38. Summer plans include a get together with all my other siblings, working in my garden and working towards a kitchen remodel in the Fall.

  39. I am planning on staying inside in the A/C as much as possible because it will be close to 100 every day in the near future. I then can stay in my studio, sew and hopefully complete projects.

  40. We had planned an RV trip to several national parks, but had cancel because of a knee injury and thrn blood clot. Clot is finally gone and am scheduled for surgery this week.
During the wait, quilting has been my saving grace!

  41. Hi Pat!
Some of my plans of course will be piecing quilts together and cross stitch. But also, on Wednesday my husband goes in for a cardiac catheterization, it’s like an angiogram but slightly different. So prayers for that. But our son is coming for a visit from So. Dakota and our adult granddaughter and her husband are coming from Washington. So we’ll have some good visits here in Southern California. My husband will be celebrating his 78th birthday in August and we intend to make it a good one for him. I’m hoping we can sneak away for a couple days just to get away. I still work and he’s limited in what he can do, so it’s not always easy to get away. But we will try! Looking forward to a great summer. Oh, and of course, watching you Mon-Thurs. 🙂

  42. I live in the So Cal desert so this is the time of year I hole up in my quilting space and sew, sew, sew!!! 120 degrees is not my cup of tea!

  43. Hi Pat, Our summer plan was to take our daughter and family out west to Yellowstone and state of
Washington to see our some in June. We arrived back home last week. We had a wonderful time with family

  44. I am so excited because every month this summer I have a quilting retreat to attend.
All of the retreats are local within 100 miles, so it will be a fun summer getting so many
    projects completed.

  45. Once again your friend Kate Spain has knocked it out of the ball park. I’m working on staying cool as my temps this week are forecast in the 105-112 F bracket. And since this week includes the 4th of July holiday, that shirt would be perfect to wear.

  46. My summer plans have come and gone already. My son and granddaughters visited from Massachusetts (I am in California.) I had the best time ever!
