  1. Hi Pat, my husband and I watch you every time you are on. You are the start of our day. ❤️ This summer I plan to continue on projects and organize a little as I go, we are also continuing a paver project around our home.

  2. Summer plans include weeding, weeding, and more weeding in both the flower beds and vegetable garden! I have a real green thumb when it comes to weeds! LOL I am also continuing to work on new quilts for all my little grandsons for their big boy beds. That is a really cute tank top and the Porch Swing jelly roll is a really pretty one.

  3. We’re visitng Cooperstown, NY, and the Baseball Hall of Fame. My husband is a life-long baseball fan, and now that we live close enough to drive to see it, we’re hitting the road next week!

  4. Quilting, quilting, quilting! Sprinkled with a camping trip with our dearest friends, a cottage week with the family and boating with my brothers and our families.

  5. I plan on going to two local quilt shows with friends July 12 and 19. I need to get my UFO’s finished. I work part time even though I am retired so work also. Happy Summer everyone.

  6. Our summer started with a week-long vacation with our adult children. Now that we are back home, I hope to spend my days in the garden or quilting.

  7. Even though technically summer began with the Solstice last week, we have already been traveling extensively. I was even able to visit Hancock Fabrics and Primitive Gatherings during some of the travels. For this month I am sewing!!! Too hot outside for gardening, unless it is very early in the morn. Next month I’ll be hitting the road again during the tail end of the summer.

  8. My summer plans include selling my home and buying another to move closer to family. I am hoping to fit some quilting into my summer. My son and daughter-in-law are expecting our first grandchild. I would like to start working on baby quilts.

  9. For the summer my husband took our 2 youngest grands on a trip in our RV for a few days. The RV resort we stayed at had a mini water park, so guess where we spent most of our time! The grandduaghters had a great time.

  10. My summer plans start this week with our daughter’s wedding on July 5th at 5:30PM at the Chesapeake Bay in Southern Maryland. 2 days later, at our family’s summer home on the Patuxent River, also in Southern Maryland, we celebrates hubby’s BIG Birthday, #75! In August, we head to Minn. for 3 weeks to visit our son and enjoy family time, and the sights and sounds of the beautiful state of Minn. We only go to Minn in warm weather! Happy Summer, Sloan Zone Friends!
    Karla from Maryland

  11. Love your videos and projects Pat. So inspiring! My summer plans include lots of golf. I live in Western NY so we don’t get a lot of good golf weather year round! I’m also doing lots of cross stitch on my patio in nice days and quilting in my basement on not so nice days. Thanks for the chance to win!!

  12. What a cute top! I’m planning to continue playing in my garden, doing a little quilting during the hottest parts of July and August, visiting family, and sending my daughter off to grad school.

  13. Lots of finishing for my many quilt tops. I do allow myself to make one fun item after quilting and binding an old project. I am contemplating going camping which I have not done since my son passed. It would be a healing adventure I think.

  14. I work full-time, but I plan to use some vacation days to have my grandson over to swing, read books, and play. He is two and is learning so quickly. It is amazing. Both of his parents and many of his grandparents are educators, and he is like a little sponge soaking it all up. Plus music is a big part of his and all of our lives. I also plan to quilt as much as I can between having him over and working. I also hope to spend at least a few days with my son (my grandson’s daddy).

  15. This summer we are staying home. We have several summer celebrations so we will keep ourselves busy. Plus I want to finish some UFOs.

  16. Summer this year is all about yard work (yr 2 of multi yr project to get everything back under control and hopefully lower maintenance). And when I can’t take the heat any longer, I come inside to hang out with my dog and continue learning to sew/quilt.

  17. My summer plans are around BBQs, trips to the parks, and I need to get the Air Conditioning fixed in my car!

  18. Summer plans include finishing 2 graduation quilts for my twin nieces, check, family reunion, check…and now back to more gardening and quilting!!

  19. Recuperating from hip replacement, so getting to spend more time sewing! Working on a nickle quilt, patriotic quilt and making ‘rainbow bridge blankets’ for my daughter’s vet clinic. Would love to wear the tank top to physical therapy!

  20. My summer will be spent with my grandchildren. I will Be teaching them to sew. We have several projects planned. We are also planning some baking projects as one of my granddaughters loves to bake. Lots of fun.

  21. We went to Branson Missouri in June. The rest of Summer will be filled with gardening, golfing, camping, canning and quilting. We are hoping to make a weekend trip to the Oregon Coast, but we will see. Thank you for all you do!

  22. My summer plans are to finish settling in to my new house and patiently waiting for the arrival of our second grandchild! And hoping to finish some UFO’s.

  23. My summer plans are to try to keep weeds out of my flower gardens and do lots of sewing. I have no trips planned and am enjoying not doing a vegi garden this year which takes up a lot of my sewing time.

  24. We are busy building a house-so it will be sleeveless, shirt kinda days- it fits right in with your awesome give away. Thank you Pat for all you do and share. Have a wonderful summer!

  25. My summer plans include lots of trips to our camper…love it up there. Oh, and my hubby’s 50 class reunion (do I have to go??!)

  26. I’m going on a road trip with my sisters to a school reunion next month. We went to a school in Japan (dad was Air Force) that closed 50 years ago so this is a celebration of that time. Since it no longer exists the organizers chose Louisville, Kentucky as our destination. Along the way we hope to connect with cousins we haven’t seen in forever and even hope to visit the area we lived before we all married and moved away.

  27. My summer plans include gardening, a little work, and helping our county 4-H kids (my own included) finish their 4-H quilts for the fair.

  28. Can’t travel yet due to caring for my hospice dog, but my time will be used to quilt myself silly and staying out of the ridiculous heat!

  29. Hi Pat, Here in southeast Texas it it Hot and Humid! Sooooo summer plans are AC only. Ha! My grandson will be visiting with the newest great-granddaughter this month! Looking forward to seeing them. Would love the opportunity to win the quilting shirt (melting here) and your Porch Swing Jelly roll. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

  30. Summer plans have already started! yesterday was at a small sheep farm where they have a small commercial wool mill and grow dye plants and dye yarn. Trips out of town are always the best. The sleeveless t-shirt Firecracker will be great to give to my grandson, who is a firecracker! Thank you.

  31. I don’t usually use solids but look for fabrics that read solid. Grunge appeals to me more than a traditional solid because it adds a little texture. Who knows, I may change my mind next week!

  32. Love your show. I’m in Northern Neck of VA for a couple of weeks. I hope to get to the VA Quilt Museum on my way home to OH.

  33. I had plans to come your way this summer. My husband and I were going to ride the Virginia Creeper trail and hike Grayson Highlands for our anniversary July 2. I fell and broke my wrist June 14th. So now my plans are to read and watch videos and movies while it heals.

  34. Our summer plans include visits from the grandkids – a little bit of travel – and sewing !

  35. My only plans are to stay around home and hopefully finish projects. We have quite a few pets so it isn’t convenient to go anywhere anymore. That’s okay though. I wouldn’t trade them. Thanks for the opportunity to win these great gifts.

  36. We are babysitting our 2 grandchildren this summer and doing some special day trips with them. I also have several weddings that I am doing alterations for. I am also doing some fun sewing and making some quilts for gifts and for myself.

  37. We plan to go to Maine for a few weeks. I hope I see some quilt shops! Also looking forward to family coming to visit.

  38. My summer plans are to swim and go for walks when the weather is not 100 degrees. It gets really hot here in Texas. When the weather is too hot, I sew and quilt. The tank top looks really cool.

  39. We are planning to go to Hilton Head Island for a week with our son and his family. Other than that I plan to finish a few quilts.

  40. My summer plans include vegetable gardening as well as fun visits with granddaughters. There is still some time for sewing and quilting.

  41. Most of our summer will be at home. A few picnics by the lake near us. Late in the summer a trip to see the grandson before he starts school.

  42. Most of my summer is spent gardening, canning, going to cut wood for the winter, walking, quilting and spending time with family!!

  43. Summer seems to always be so busy and goes so fast. We have a collector car, and will be taking some time to enjoy driving around in that. Of course attending car shows also. Spending time with family, and just enjoying this time of year.

  44. I need to make dragon pillowcases for my granddaughter first then start cutting my next project.

  45. Our summer plans for a beach trip with daughter and grandchildren may change. We have had a recent diagnosis that may require extensive treatment. Quilting has been my solace and I am grateful for having this in my life.

  46. Summer plans are to do lots of cycling to train for my September cycling trip to Spain!

  47. I’m planning on camping, hiking, kayaking with family this summer! I love scrap quilting Beach / picnic quilts
