***How do I get notified? ***

** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

  1. I am busy working on Cozy Christmas with wool applique. So glad to see that you are doing better health wise. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and Greg. I look forward to many more projects to do with you.

  2. My husband always says, β€œChristmas can’t start until his birthday, December 10”!!!! Then we can play Christmas carols. However, we do decorate Thanksgiving weekend, in spite of his declaration!!!😊😊😊

  3. HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS!! My mother made one for each of us children as we joined the family. So, when I started having kids, I made each one a stocking. I now have 19 stockings hanging in my living room representing all the members of the family currently (kids, kid spouses, grandkids) and I love the memories that comes with each one.

  4. My favorite Christmas decoration is my pure white nativity set that my 88 year old mother gave to me. She displayed it every year while us six kids were growing up. She wanted me to have it to enjoy with my children and grandchildren. My fondest memory is going to midnight mass as a child and seeing a much larger in scale nativity and seeing the Priest place the baby Jesus in the manger. So many wonderful memories!

  5. Pat, my favorite decoration is a set of 3 angels my folks gave me when I was a newly wed. They are gone now and the angels are so very precious to me. My daughter knows they are special and they will be passed on to her one day.

  6. My favorite part of Christmas is after the tree has been decorated we turn off the lights in the house, and light up the tree, sit around with blankets and hot cocoa, tell stories, and be mesmerized by the lights on the Christmas tree πŸŽ„πŸ₯°

  7. Hi Pat, My favorite decoration this year is an little 8″ tree I recently decorated with the cutest miniature ceramic quilt block ornaments to remind me of the quilts to be made. I have this on my bathroom vanity to cheer me. I’m kept pretty busy with my husband whom has Alzheimer disease so every time I go by I see the tree and it brings me so much Joy. So glad you are recovering well and I so enjoy watching you each day. I am going to get to do one of those fun sew-a-longs here soon. Thanks for being there online for me every day. Merry Christmas

  8. Even though my sons are grown, I enjoy all their homemade decorations from many years ago. I especially love the paper snowflakes that have somehow lasted, although kind of tattered. I hang them from the archways & they look so festive.

  9. One of my favorite things to do at Christmas time is watching the lighting ceremony at our court house in town. They read the Christmas story and children from the local schools sing Christmas carols. I love our town it’s like living in a Hallmark movie each year.
