  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery

  1. Hi Pat! So glad you are doing well. Happy Christmas! My favorite event is Christmas Eve. Relaxing with the kids. No running around and then they look for the Christmas pickle hidden in the tree ( which is actually a small frog bell). They have to hunt for it without touching the tree. Of course they are 26 & 23 but still love this tradition. Child who finds it gets to open two presents instead of just their Christmas pajamas they get each Christmas Eve. All great fun!! Thank you for all your creative energy and time. 🥰🥰🥰

  2. Hi Pat! My fave newer decoration is a table runner that my daughter made for us with Rudolph and Bumble the snow ‘monster’ fabric (from the 1960’s TV show!) My fave older decoration is a small collection of colorful vintage glass ornaments handed down from my maternal grandmother to my mother, to me. Display these fragile beauties every year in a glass cylinder vase to be enjoyed by all who visit.

  3. My favorite Christmas decorations are my Christmas tree ornaments. Every ornament is handmade or a gift. They all have special meaning and I love reminiscing about my life and family as I put up the tree every year. Specifically, my favorite ornament is a clothespin doll made by my late grandmother. My Meme was a lifelong, very skilled sewist. She’s been gone 14 years, but I still feel a connection to her when I sew and when I put her special ornament on the tree. The doll has a pretty Christmas plaid skirt that poofs out and gets carefully stuffed with tissue when I pack it away every year.

  4. My favorite is decorating the dining room table with festive tablerunners, tablecloth and centerpieces. Brightens the whole house!

  5. My favorite holiday decorations are the many handmade ornaments on our tree that I’ve added in the last 40 years. I’m cutting back now, looking at the years of downsizing ahead.

  6. I have a collection of about 35 Hallmark Nostalgic Homes and Shops that goes on top of my entertainment centre (almost 8 feet). There are people, antique cars, carollers, skating rinks and snowmen. When I ran out of space on the entertainment centre a began buying the new pieces and giving them to my daughter for her own village. I think it will be a nice legacy to pass on to my grandchildren.

  7. Our family tradition is to have a birthday cake on Christmas, to celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s the same cake every year, a red and green jello cake.

  8. Woohoo super videos, enjoy them all. Such detail and rational with selecting fabrics for the blocks. Your blooming plants are festive too. And your doing a new book, can’t wait. Table toppers are perfect. Thanks. Hi shipping dept. Waving to you from Michigan

  9. My favorite Christmas holiday tradition is decorating the tree. When turning the lights on each night brings something magical to the season.

  10. My favourite Christmas tradition is not having a tradition! This is not in a negative perspective to Christmas at all either. Being a military family that has traveled the world, our Christmas celebration has been different practically every year due to location and destination. We’ve spent Christmas in NC, FL, WA DC, Switzerland, Finland, Poland, Turkey, Germany and many more destinations. While in all these places, we’ve stepped into the traditions of that location and enjoyed the atmosphere and celebrations of that destination. The variety and the memories have left lasting impressions on our yearly non-traditional Christmas, thus making it our tradition, non-traditional! Merry Christmas!

  11. I have these tiny train ornaments that I collected for years when my boys were little, they are from Hallmark!
    Merry Christmas Pat and Greg🎄⛄️

  12. Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. And my favorite decorations are the ones my mom crocheted for me after my husband and I were married (42 years ago). Every time I set out the crocheted Mr & Mrs snowman, the three crocheted candles with flames and hang up the six little stocking ornaments on the tree, I’m reminded of good memories of my family and the love we had for each other.

  13. My favorite Christmas decoration are all the handmade items made by my children and grandchildren. Every ornament has a story. I put the ornaments on my tree and My life flashes before my eyes.
Also I love the idea of the color book and using it in 2022. I ordered one, I love a book.
I would be interested in you talking about your process in writing a pattern. I think your patterns are the best.
Thank you for all you do. It is greatly appreciated.

  14. Just looking at red and green together remind me of Christmas. I am so inspired by winter / Christmas style quilts.

  15. My favorite holiday decor is light strands and candles in windows. I just love the snuggly feeling of viewing lighted windows from the indoors and outdoors. Thank you.

  16. My favorite Christmas decoration is my snowmen collection. I enjoy watching my grandchildren pressing the buttons to see then dance and sing. The smiles and giggles give me such joy. Little children have so much at Christmas.

  17. My favorite holiday event is the Christmas Bird Count. We have been doing this for many, many years. We go out to our designated area and count all the birds we see. It takes about 4 hours or so. A thermos of hot chocolate is a must! The data is compiled by the National Audubon Society and helps to document how bird populations are doing. This year the date for our area is January 1st, but it varies every year.

  18. My favorite Christmas decoration is an Owl that my mother in law gave us many many years ago. He’s made of brass and has glass eyes. He sits on the top of the tree and we put one of the lights inside so his eyes glow. Where does an owl live? Well in our tree every Christmas. My husband wrote on the back how much we love you mom and miss you. This has been our tree topper for 23 years.

  19. My favorite Christmas activity is putting up the Christmas Tree. We play Loretta Lynn’s Christmas Album and sing along with her as we decorate. Then it seems like Christmas.

  20. Hello from Pensacola, we love the Christmas lights and beach trips to see our white sand “snow”. Thanks for offering such lovely gifts. Your work is wonderful.

  21. I have downsized many times but I have kept the ceramic Christmas tree my daughter in law gave me many years ago, I still love it. I also have a beautiful angel that was given to me a few years ago as well. I also decorate with my Christmas quilts, runners etc.

  22. My favourite Christmas decoration is the tree, or maybe I should say trees! I have one large main tree and then I also put up several medium to small around the house, in bedrooms, porch, etc. Thanks for another great sew along Pat and Merry Christmas to you and Greg.

  23. My favorite Christmas decoration is a twisted pinwheel wreath wall hanging I made last year. It was difficult to make but turned out beautiful!

  24. My favorite Christmas event is topping the tree with the angel. As youngest, it’s my daughter’s job. As a little girl, her Dad would pick her up. Starting at about 10, her older brother put her on his shoulders to lift her. They’re in their mid-30s now, she’s tall enough to reach, but that has become their sibling tradition. Love it!

  25. My favorite Christmas event is decorating our Christmas tree as a family. We gave each of our sons an ornament every year representing a significant event or interest of that year. We share laughs and fond memories as we pull out each ornament. The evening also includes cookies and cocoa!

  26. Every Christmas I try to come up with a new and unique homemade Christmas ornament to gift to family, friends and coworkers. Many years these ornaments are quilted – last year, however, I loaded clear Christmas balls with miniature Amazon boxes, a miniature roll of toilet paper and face mask and a small card that read “2020 Very Bad Year … would not recommend!”
I have made enough ornaments over the years that I can now completely decorate a small tree with my treasures.

  27. My favorite Christmas decoration is a ceramic nativity set we purchased from a neighbor at least 30 years ago and each year I enjoy setting it up for the christmas season .

  28. My favorite event of the Christmas season is Christmas Eve service at church.
My husband loves decorating the house for Christmas. He puts up all the Christmas wreaths on the front of the house, plus
    The outside trees.

  29. There are so many fun things to do during the holiday season. One of my favorites is going out with friends and family to look at all of the beautiful lights.

  30. My favorite event is the Christmas Eve service at our church.
Always such a special time to remember the reason we celebrate!

  31. I think my favorite would be the family get together. I think the love of family is always a better spent together, everyone coming and going, all the kids get so excited to see cousins come.

  32. My favorite part of Christmas decorations are the round light globes we put outside every year. They are very simple but seem so festive each time I drive into my driveway!

  33. My favorite holiday decoration is my Donald Duck riding a bicycle ornament and two events I love are Christmas Day when my children and grandson visit and the next weekend when the whole family gets together. Family gatherings are great!.

  34. I decorate with Santa’s in every room. My bedroom has a Santa quilt Santa pillow!
My kitchen, has Santa’s, my tree has Santa’s
    “Santa’s, Santa’s everything Santa’s”

  35. My favorite Christmas decoration is a mantle cover my mom made for me years ago. I don’t feel its Christmas till that is up.

  36. My favorite Christmas event is our Christmas Eve family gathering. It’s the one day every year that all our kids and grandkids are together. It’s the best Christmas present I get every year.

  37. Christmas to me is holly and mistletoe hanging in the doorways. Garland streaming down the staircase and beautiful Christmas music playing softly in the background. Beautiful time of year for reflection and being with your loved ones.

  38. My favorite Christmas event is gathering with my family where good food and lots of laughter are guaranteed. My favorite decoration is my grandmother’s tree skirt made out of felt, which is at least 50 years old. I love this time of year!

  39. my favorite holiday event is an Advent vespers service in the historic (1760’s) church that is part of our church’s property. As cold and dark as it was back then as the church has no heat or lights! It’s flashlights and blankets and singing!

  40. LOVE our annual neighborhood Cookie Exchange! Also, Breakfast with Santa is once again (even more?!?) fun with grandkids.
I try to “prepare” for Christmas and love celebrating and enjoying decorations, parties, etc. after Christmas itself.
Love leaving decorations up until Epiphany!!

  41. My favorite Christmas event was when my seven grandchildren were little. I would dress the angels up in my husbands white T-shirt with silver garland around them. The boys were colored shirts and dishtowels as a turban on their head. We would reenact the Christmas story. Such precious memories. Now that they’re bigger they don’t want to do that of course. Now my favorite Christmas memories are decorated cookies with them. Thank you Pat for all your wonderful Waze videos. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your husband.

  42. As our 3 kids were growing up they would have a slumber party in the Oldest’s bedroom on Christmas Eve. They were so excited and we could hear them chattering away while My husband an I finished wrapping and getting the presents under the tree. I also left out a new movie unwrapped for them to watch in the morning, this gave my husband and I an extra hour of sleep.
