Hi,
probably I won’t manage to take part in the challenge because it’s too late but I will try to make that quilt. I wanted to download block No 3 and I cannot as there is only stated the error number 500. Could you e-mail me it, please as I would like to have a full set of blocks for that project.
Thanks a million,
Kath
try taking a little time each day to sew Barb. Just say 10 min, you’ll be amazed at what that will do for you
This block was so fun and easy! Thanks Pat. I love seeing everyone’s blocks. This is my first sew along and I’m loving it!!
I used one of my new favorite rulers to do the sew and flip corners, It’s the Creative Grids “Folded Corner Clipper”. I love using it instead of drawing lines. It works great for snowballing corners and for making HSTs. You lay the small square in the corner of the big square, lay the ruler on top and it guides you to cut off the corners of both fabrics so that there will be a 1/4” seam allowance to sew at. After sewing you flip it and it comes out perfect!
The Fabrics you pick out are so nice. Your blocks have contrast. I did 2 of the jump rope blocks with some of my fabrics and the colors were not as bright and pretty as yours. Well done Pat Sloan.
What beautiful blocks, which I would be able to do them. Seems as if all I get done is moving one box from one place to another. Just moved home from a parsonage that I lived in at the church I just retired from. I am walking a 12 inch path through my house. Any way I love seeing your creations. One of these days I will get back in the swing. I have a quilting machine, also frame to do hand quilting with a quilt “tumbling blocks” partially finished, a Jamone mb4 embroidery machine, a Singer futura, and several straight sewing machines. And of course crates and boxes of material and quilt tops. I still serve a small church with 13 members, which is enough for me as I don’t get around very well (broke my femur two years ago). Say a prayer of encouragement for me and keep on sending wonderful pictures.
I am loving these simple blocks! Scrap friendly and a delight to sew! Thank you for this weekly adventure!
Skipping rope was so much fun. Especially with the big rope and lots of children or with the double ropes when you had to be real quick. Ah, those childhood days were fun.
Love this block—very fun!
