  3. My favorite flowers are dahlias because the colors are so beautiful and varieties are so varied that they seem endlessly interesting.

  4. I love seeing the Lilac bushes flowering this time of year. Reminds me of my Mom, she loved them too.

  5. I think my favorite is a rose because there are so many different colors and types of roses. The petals can be few or many. I love the varieties that have multiple colors on one petal or they start out one color and change over time. I really like most flowers and try to have some out on our counter all the time!
By the way having Mr. Snowman behind you is a big motivator for me to keep going on mine. I am doing mine half the size of yours but it is getting fun to finally start cutting some of the snowman pieces! I am glad to not be working with 7/8″ squares like I was at the beginning! Thanks for all you do! You make my day brighter! Happy Tuesday! I am also working through Tula’s book and am only making 30 blocks to make mine small enough to hang. I have 10 done. You are a huge blessing to my sewing life. – K-

  6. Forget Me Nots are my favorite flower. I used to climb the apple tree in the back yard when I was little. At the base of the tree were these pretty blue flowers. I think that was the first flower I learned the name of.

  7. I love gladiolas. My husband gave me a beautiful of colorful gladiolas on the day our twin daughters were born. He grows some every year for me and we’ve been together 54 years.

  8. My favorite in Spring is the Daffodil – a first bloomer -the March flower, my birthday! then next is tall bearded iris. But any flower in bloom makes me smile!

  9. I enjoy ALL flowers but to pick only one I’d say Lilacs. When I lived in Washington, I loved the color and smell and how a bunch of tiny flowers made up one lovely bundle. I live in Georgia now and while there is a variety that can grow here they’re not the same thick branches of perfect sweetness. The memories of them make me smile 😊

  10. So many lovely flowers it’s very hard to pick but at the moment I am loving our white camellias. We have espaliered them across the back fence, when they are out in flower it is white flowers all across the fence.

  11. My favorite flower is a Gerbera Daisy. These flowers come in various colors and make me happy when I see them. I love them so much that my wedding bouquet was all Gerbera Daisies!

  12. My favorites are Cattleya orchids; my grandmother loved them although she was never able to successfully grow any. My wife is far more partial to roses and gladioli.

  13. I love lily of the valley because it is my birth flower and it smells so good. Lilacs are a favorite too because they small amazing and we had huge lilac bushes in our yard growing up.

  14. I love bright pink geraniums. I plant them each year and love their big blooms. I especially love the ones with vine like foliage.

  15. Lilacs. I adore the smell, I love the beautiful pale purple and dark purple ones the best and they make me so happy because then I know spring is actually here

  16. My favorite flower is the Indian Paintbrush. It’s extremely beautiful when mixed in with all the Bluebonnets in Texas. The countryside fields of mostly bluebonnets with waves of the orange / coral color of the paintbrush in Texas is so beautiful.

  17. My favorite flower is the Bird of Paradise. The shape of the flower and its regal present to the garden. Had one back in California outside my sewing room. Lovely view.

  18. My current favorite flower is a Freesia. I love the variety of colors and how the bulbs pop up new every spring.

  19. Tulips have always been my favorite cultivated flower, and I’m not sure why. I’ve also always loved California poppies and blue lupines, which grew wild in the field in front of our house when I was a child.

  20. I loved colourful lilies! Tiger lilies are my mom’s favourite and they make me think of her! I also love gerbera daisies.

  21. My favorite flower is iris. We had irises on my family farm; my granny had pretty yellow ones. I have carried starts of irises from our farm and from my granny everywhere we have lived, and have at least a dozen varieties now.

  22. Hi Pat! My favorite flower is actually a specific type of Rudbeckia Hirta (gloriosa daisy). I love the type with petals that are fiery orange towards the center and bright yellow on the outside. There is so much to like: it is easy to grow, it flowers throughout late Spring and Summer, it is drought-resistant, it reseeds itself, it produces lots of seeds to share with friends, and it is eye-catching. The flower makes me happy to look at it.

  23. My favorite flowers are snow drops and heĺebores because they start blooming in February when I’m so ready for winter to be over.

  24. my favorite flower is the Star of Bethlehem; this is the first one blooming in my yard. It blooms at Easter and is the first true sign of spring and that the season of renewal is here. I don’t remember them not being in my yard bed that was growing at the . When we moved we always got a start from the old bed and brought it with us. When I moved to Alabama we brought a start to plant here. I was born in 1944, but I don’t know far back it went. I think that my Grandparents shared this flower. My maternal grandparent came from England in 1924 so I’m first generation to be born in the USA.

  25. I guess I should say my favorite is daylilies because I have over 150 different ones with all kinds of blooming times, so that bloom from May to September, But I also love daffodils and iris in the Spring, Lily of the Valley in May, the smell of Roses in the summer, and the Sunflowers and Asters and Montauk Daisies in the Fall.

  26. Black-eyed Susans and day lilies are my absolute favorites. They are both so hardy and require very little from me to bloom. They are such showy flowers.

  27. My favorite flower is the pasqueflower. It is the state flower of my state of origin, South Dakota. It is a hardy wildflower that pushes through the barely-thawed prairie sod to burst into beautiful, bold, purple blooms. It often blooms in early Spring (hence the French-derived name?). It also blooms on East Campus at the University of Nebraska (my adopted home state).
It is a hardy little flower, low to the ground, not at all ostentatious — often surviving Spring snows. It resembles a crocus. It brings an irrefutable hope of Spring after a long Winter.

  28. My favorite flowers are Geraniums. My grandmother Louise had a covered porch with an old couch in it. The room was filled with these flowers. It was my favorite room In her home I used to read and dream
In that room. It was a perfect hideaway

  29. I love pansies. I find them so cheerful and perky. However, I do have a lot of black-eyed Susans in my gardens. They seem to multiply every season.

  30. My favorite flower is probably a Peony. I have a dozen different varieties in my garden, but my grandma had a border of peonies that was 50 yards long. It was spectacular when they were all in bloom!

  31. My favorite flower is the gardenia. My husband would pick a flower and bring it home and place it on my pillow. I worked 12-hour night shift at the hospital. The scent was intoxicating. I would love to win this beautiful kit.

  32. My favorite flowers are roses. I remember as a young child, my mom had several different rose bushes on side of our house. Loved how they smell. I do not have a green thumb, try as I might, have not been successful in growing roses.

  33. My favorite flower is a carnation that is a very simple color. They remind me of how beautiful just being content and simple can be. Thanks again Pat for all you do for our quilting community.

  34. My favorite flower is the rose. Love seeing how you select block fabrics! Thank you for the discounts and giveaways.
