Correction, bearded Iris!
Hi Pat, Thank you for recognizing nurses and teachers, it means a lot! I am a nurse of 42 years, about 10 years ago I began teaching nursing school, and I still love it. My other passions are gardening and quilting, I love bearded Irish, my Dad’s favorite flower. Happy spring!
I love peonies and lilacs. I think it’s because they are some of the first in spring/early summer in Michigan. Just wish they lasted longer!
My favorite flower would be hydrangeas because they make a whole bouquet quickly!
Sunflowers are my favorite! I love how they turn their heads to follow the sun. When they are done blooming they feed the birds or me with all thei tasty seeds!
Peonies!!! My absolute favorite. They are beautiful and smell amazing. My dad would bring them from his yard when he used to come visit. I miss him.
As my name is Rebecca (but I go by Becky), my sisters call me “Rude-Beckia” and I have a younger sister that we call “Rude-Barb” … this kit fits right in that theme of sisterly love and joking. Winning it would be fantastic. 🙂
My favourite flower is the Kangaroo Paw. It is the emblem flower for Western Australia where I live. They are strappy plants with red & green flowers resembling (you guessed it😁) a kangaroos paw. Plants have been developed that flower in other colours also – even shades of blue!
MY FAVORITE FLOWER IS THE POPPY. MY GRANDMOTHER USED TO GROW THEM, THEN GRIND THE POPPY SEEDS TO USE IN FILLING WHEN MAKING KOLACHES, AN ANCESTRIAL PASTRY. THEY WERE SO GOOD AND SHE IS NO LONGER HERE TO MAKE THEM, OR GROW HER POPPIES.

Hi! My favorite flowers are daisies! During spring, my 4 children will pick wild daisies from the cow pastures and I will have jars and jars of daisies around the house! Thanks for all you do, Pat!
A yellow tulip is my favorite flower because when we were dating my husband would bring them to me, and still does.
My favorite flowers are the spring flowers like the daffodils, tulips and hyacinth. They smell beautiful.
I love the beauty of all flowers. My favorite flower is the Martha Washington geranium. There are so many levels of color in each flower. They do not need a lot of attention, which leaves more time for quilting. I would love to win the Black Eyed Susan quilt kit. It would be a great addition to my wall of quilted flowers.
