  1. So many ways to go. I love jelly rolls and layer cakes. Well fat qtrs. are also useful. Yikes,so many decisions.

  2. Layer cakes are great. There are so many patterns to use them. You can make a whole quilt with a layer and some back ground. I have the promise me layer cake so I need the drawing room layer cake.

  3. I’ve been binging on layer cakes and jelly rolls lately but I mostly love a good fat quarter bundle. From there I can can cut my own strips or squares or both. What’s not to love?!?

  4. I love them all and have many of each. I will by a fat quarter bundle if I like the fabric and haven’t chosen a pattern for it yet.

  5. I love all quilt fabric. My collection includes Jelly rolls, Fat Qtrs, Charms and Layer cakes. My favorite is Layer cakes because you can use them as 10 inch squares or cut them into 5 inch squares.

  6. My favorite size of precut is Layer Cakes and then the Fat Quarter bundles. I like the patterns that Pat has been showing using the layer cakes!! The Pre-Cuts are a great way to get a good variety of fabric prints economically.

  7. I don’t really have a favourite way to buy fabric. I usually buy yardage but have also purchased a bit of everything else. There are so many layer cake quilt patters that winning a layer cake would be wonderful!!

  8. Thank you, Pat, for another give away. I love your Drawing Room fabric and enjoy working with a layer cake. Again, congrats on 10 years!!!

  9. I have all the things – fat quarters, charm packs, etc. but am definitely a fan of Layer Cakes. So much fun!

  10. Oooooo….what pretty fabric! I remember in home ec, we made a lined vest, mine was navy blue corduroy with a navy slippery fabric for lining. I remember the lining giving me fits! I once made a dress, and a sleeveless shirt to wear under another shirt. Clothes are not my thing..lol. I would love to make some table toppers for my kitchen table, I have a round one like you.

  11. My favorite pre-cut is the fat quarter, but I have been known to pick up a mini charm pack or two as well. Split loyalty, I guess!

  12. Probably layer cakes and fat quarter bundles are my favorite precut because there is more fabric, but I love jelly rolls and charm squares and I have lots of them as well. They are all great depending on what you are doing. Love your Drawing Room fabric line and it would be nice to have a layer cake of it to use in the Block Wednesday sew along. Thanks to Benartex and Happy 10th Anniversary to you!

  13. Fat quarters and/or layer cakes seem to be the most versatile precuts I’ve discovered as I become more familiar with options in this quilting world!

  14. I love fat quarter bundles because they offer more options. But layer cakes are so super simple for a quick quilt.

  15. My favorite size precut is the fat quarter. I love to buy the bundle of a line, however, my budget does not like that very much. Often times I find that the layer cake will do what I want with maybe a fat quarter or two added in.

  16. My favorite pre-cut must be a fat quarter bundle, since I think I’ve purchased and used more of them than other pre-cuts. I’ve also purchased a lot of Cutie packs (fat eigth bundle) and several patterns to use them, however I think I’ve only made one quilt top with a fat eighth bundle. I’ve also used a jelly roll and finished a quilt with that one. I’ve purchased other 2.5″ strip packs, and one layer cake, I just find it hard to actually cut into these afraid the mix won’t be what I like, even though I love the grouping.

  17. I like Fat quarters and layer cakes. I seem to be able to get the best use out of those size pieces. I tend to make scrappy quilts- anything including the kitchen sink goes!

  18. What a great giveaway!! I usually tend to gravitate towards 5″ charm packs and fat quarters. Both are so versatile.

  19. My favorite precut is a bundle of Layer Cakes as they can be used whole, cut into charms, fussy cut, or cut in half for the Fat Quarter Shop fun patterns. 😍🤩😊 Such variety and so mum fun.
Thanks Pat for teaching us all these years. You’re a real treat.

  20. Hi Pat! I’m so excited for the chance to be entering your 10th Anniversary Celebration for a layer cake of your Drawing Room fabric by Benartex! I enjoy using the precuts, and it depends on whatI ‘m making what size precuts I’ll need to use. Your fabrics are just beautiful! Thank you!
