  1. I try to buy batting when I can get it on a good sale and do keep a few rolls on hand to have to complete my projects when a top is finished. Having a full roll of batting would be so amazing!

  2. I would love to be able to stock up on batting. I have a tiny little bit stocked up its small bags not big rolls but wow I would love to ba able to have rolls of it stocked up that’s not in my budget though

  3. Thanks for all you do Pat! I learn a lot from you. I stock my batting. You never know when you get the itch to make a smaller project on the fly and need more batting than your scrap pile has. I usually buy 6 or so yards at a time. Thanks again!

  4. I buy batting by the roll, just easier to keep it this way, also great to know I can finish a quilt when I’m ready.

  5. I don’t keep much batting on hand. I tend to purchase a piece that fits a king or queen and cut what I need. I’m getting better at finishing projects, so maybe it’s time to have a bolt on hand!
    Happy Sewing, Sloan Zone Friends!
    Karla

  6. My MIL lives with us so there are two quilters in the house! We take turns buying rolls of batting, usually once every 15 months or so. Not to mention all the cut offs!

  7. I usually just buy what I need, but my church has a quilting group. We make prayer quilts and
Go through a lot of batting. We could use a bolt!

  8. I buy what I need, which means I have a lot of small pieces left over. Not very efficient! I’d love a roll!

  9. I’m still working on a roll of batting that I bought a while ago. After that I’ll use scraps for my little things and then just buy it from my longarmer . Unless I win a roll of batting….then there will be no stopping me LOL

  10. I typically buy batting for each project since I’m just restarting quilting after retiring. Having a full bolt of batting would save time and money as individual packages of batting are very pricey compared to the bolt.

  11. A major push this year is to finish all my tops. A new roll of batting would be wonderful. I typically buy from the Warm Company.

  12. Having a roll of batting surely would save me some frustration when I’m ready to sandwich my quilt and —oops, no batting!

  13. I buy packaged batting when it’s on sale and I know I have projects ahead where I will need it. I have never had a whole roll of batting but sure would love to have it!!!

  14. Ahhh how exciting a batting giveaway. I won’t buy any unless I have a 50% off ftom Joann’s so yes that would set me quilting for many years. Thank you Vivian nolen

  15. I try to have batting on hand since I live in a rural area. Always try to be prepared when the project is finished.

  16. I have (with help) installed a rack over my cutting table for a roll of batting to hang. It is so convenient and works so well. I just unroll to the length I need and slice it off with my mat, rotary cutter and the longest ruler I have. Warm and Natural batting is my favorite because it holds together well and gives structure while quilting. Thanks for the opportunity to win a roll. I make quilts for Quilts Beyond Borders which provides warmth and comfort to those in need (disaster, refugees, illness, etc.)

  17. I buy the batting as I make each quilt. A roll would be great to have as I’m trying to make a quilt for all my children, grandchildren, and family members. Then I hope to make them and donate them.

  18. I live in an area where it isn’t always easy to just go get batting as needed so I generally buy for several projects at a time when I do get somewhere with warm & natural, which is my favorite batting. Would sure love to win some!

  19. I would really like to win this batting to help my church quilting group have enough batting this year.

  20. Yes, I buy batting ahead of time in all sorts of types as I never know when I will need what for any given project. But, it is almost always on sale when I purchase it.

  21. Thanks Pat for all of your clever ideas and tips. I really look forward to your daily videos – inspiring (me) to get organized and S E W !!!
Yes, the batting is wonderful!! Who couldn’t enjoy a bolt of batting?? 😉

  22. I buy batting not quite by the roll, but not as needed either, I like to have enough for 2-3 quilts at a time. I would love to get to a point where buying a roll and having it on hand at all times was life. 🙂
