*** Sweet Dreams Block #8 ***

Dessert breads are so yummy!

What is your favorite? Banana Bread? Blue Berry? Lemon?  I used to make a great strawberry bread. I got the recipe from the St. Louis newspaper.  I'm going to see if I can find the recipe!

  1. How did you decide how many 2 1/2″ fabric strips of each to cut to do the large size quilt? Would like to cut it all out first. I may be missing a video maybe?

  2. I make an eggnog, cranberry and pecan bread. It’s a favorite in our house. I also make a pumpkin, pecan and white chocolate chip bread. Another favorite.

  3. I just love good old fashioned banana bread! Especially the day after and slice it, put it in the toaster oven, heat, and add a lil butter lol. Yea, I am old, fat, and have heart issues🤦‍♀️

  4. I know I saw it somewhere, but how many blocks is the Sweet Dreams quilt? I thought I saw 18. But when I look at the layout it looks like 23. I’m just a little confused. Could I get some clarification please.

  5. Banana nut bread and zucchini bread if someone else bakes it! Love it warm with butter! Thanks Pat, for all you do for us quilters.

  6. Zucchini bread, banana bread, and apple walnut bread are our favorites. The apple bread has apples, grape nuts cereal, cheese, walnuts and applesauce in it. Very moist! But very filling!

  7. I like zucchini bread . Around here late summer we are overwhelmed with zucchini and look for new ways to use. Bread can be made and then frozen plus it’s good with butter ot homemade helly

  8. Banana bread and pumpkin bread are regulars at our house for the holidays. I found the recipes when I was a new mom from a southern bell recipe book my grandmother gave me in 1982. The recipes were pretty standard but the thing it called for was to allow the loaf to cool but while still warm wrap it in wax paper and then alum foil. This keeps the loaf so moist. Then just heat and top with a little butter or cream. Its delicious.

  9. My mother’s homemade date nut loaf which she made only at Christmas, with or without cream cheese spread on it.

  10. Hi Annette , would you share the Beet Bread Recipe with us ? Thanks
Thanks , Pat , for this lovely String Bean Block – I am super excited !!!

  11. Pat, you MUST try the beet bread recipe. Amazingly, it doesn’t taste like beets but rather is a lovely, moist cake. As an aside, my 7 yr old came in from school one day, saw the beet bread which I was very excited about, and said “Mum, can we please have a cake without vegetables in it?” LOL
I am So Excited about your new line,I can hardly stand it! I’ll pass this onto my Applique Society members as it is perfect for broderie perse. Thank you, once again.

  12. I found a recipe for copycat Starbucks pumpkin bread and it is fantastic. Once I found out the tip of lining the pan with parchment paper so the loaf slides out I was hooked on making breads.
